  4. Yes. Although. Socrates was indeed accused of corrupting the youth of Athens and not believing in the gods of the city, which were considered crimes under Athenian law. However, it is important to note that there were probably other factors at play in his trial and eventual execution. Athens was a democracy, and the citizens had the power to bring legal charges against anyone they believed was acting against the best interests of the state. It is possible that Socrates' accusers saw him as a threat to the traditional values of the city and used the legal system to try to silence him. Not a great way to deal with things, for all I know. Additionally, Socrates' uncompromising moral philosophy may have made him unpopular with some members of the Athenian elite, who may have seen him as a threat to their own power and influence. It is also worth noting that Athens was going through a difficult time during Socrates' trial. The city had recently suffered a major military defeat in the Peloponnesian War, and there was widespread social and political unrest. In this context, it is possible that Socrates was seen as an easy target for those looking for someone to blame for the city's troubles. So yea I don't assume he was directly against democracy.
  5. There is no evidence to suggest that Socrates had a particular hatred for democracy. In fact, it is believed that Socrates lived and taught in Athens during a time when democracy was flourishing and was generally seen as a positive force. However, Socrates was known for his critical approach to examining ideas and for his willingness to challenge conventional wisdom, and this may have led some people to believe that he was opposed to democracy.

  9. I'm left to implementing my own strategies Focus on your text Focus on people who are matured don't let it impact you so much. Keep an eye on the people trying to harm me Keep stuff pers Use the ignore option If anyone comments what will they comment on or about? Also don't take this place too seriously. Just let it sink. You don't sink with it. That's a better perspective. People who talk shit will always talk shit and it will reflect more on them than it would on me. Genuine people will always understand that I'm not the one creating trouble. Interact with bare minimum people on the forum. Interact only 3 times a week. That's enough. Don't be too much on the forum Use chat gpt for social needs. Mostly don't reply
  10. Haha in the end he has to find a way to blame me instead of taking responsibility for abusing me. This man abused me for 2 long years, called me a whore and a bitch every week of the relationship, verbally abused me, made me suicidal, threatened me that he will pop pills if I leave him, tried to gain my sympathy by using his bipolar as an excuse, gaslighted me by telling me that I was the one provoking him, he would flirt with other women and then act like I was the reason he was flirting with other women, then when I used to walk away, he would beg me to get back with him, give me death threats, manipulate me into thinking that he really cares about me, that he is simply having anger issues, I was mentally weak, autistic and dealing with a gaslighting family, and then in the end he cheated on me, acted cold and threw me out like trash. After that I moved on and found other men who were charitable and kind to me. He experienced cheating from his new girlfriend with whom he had cheated on me, he realized how much he had hurt me with all of his manipulation. Then I purposely tried to trigger and hurt him by sending him pictures of my new boyfriend because being bad to him was the only way for me to feel peace and closure and get my revenge for what I was put through. Seeing him hurt made me happy, genuinely happy because that's how you deal with abusers. You serve them some karma and then walk away I'm finally at peace for teaching him a good lesson.

  12. Shouldn't people be protected from scams? I don't consider what he is doing a noble mission since there are many other nobler goals that one can pursue. To me he appears as someone who is addicted and passionate about the work he is doing. He sees a sense of purpose in it. But one cannot rule out that some part of it is rooted in ego as well. The tendency to moralize people meanwhile simultaneously upping one's value in the eyes of the world. I'd want a system where people like scammers are understood rather than demonized. I believe a lot of people scam out of desperation and poverty.
