My family is deep stage blue. When I told them that I spent a lot of time with my ex boyfriend 4 years ago and that we were together for a night, they began to make a big deal out of it. They're constantly cussing me out and calling me slut and whore. I had to explain them that I didn't actually sleep with him. I simply slept beside him. I didn't have sexual intercourse with him. But they are just not ready to accept what I say. They're constantly pestering me asking me - how could you do this before marriage? And I keep explaining them that I'm still a virgin and that I never had it but they don't understand that I was sexually intimate with my boyfriend but didn't have sex. They're shaming me for being with him before being married How should I convince them that I didn't do anything wrong and although I didn't have premarital sex, that premarital sex is not a bad idea. Now they have stuck this label on me and everytime there's an argument they call me shameless and whore. It's impossible to make them understand.

Funnily, this is something that reminds me of — rules only exist on paper. ................... One thing I have observed and learned about spiritual teachers/groups/communities/organizations is that these people/groups are only held accountable when something really ugly happens like too many suicides rocking the community, too many rapes or cases of sexual abuse, and something is done only when it reaches the brim. Does something close to this as an analogy? I scratched and scratched my brain. Eureka! The thing that comes closest to this as an analogy is - oppressive dictatorships. People only rebel when things are out of hand and the regime is extremely cruel and corrupt. That's when people get the common sense to topple these regimes and establish democracies. Yea pretty much similar. Anything related to Religion/Spirituality is similar to an oppressive dictatorship. You'd be lucky if you found yourself in a healthy one, that's just pure luck because most are infested with cult like dynamics. Think like this - is there a healthy religion out there? Maybe, for example Buddhism. But still. The problem which such things is not the issue of moderation/regulation by an authority to check abuse of ethics but that these systems are inherently and fundamentally flawed by design. People who create such systems want to monopolize power and resources. It's almost like asking why are dictatorships so toxic. The answer is quite simple — because they are just designed to be so. The people who want to be dictators cannot be good people and obviously dictatorships will never attract healthy people in the first place. There are inherent toxic stage Red elements put in place that make these systems dysfunctional by default. That's how I look at this. Such groups attract cult leaders and cult leaders are psychopaths. The system is flawed at the root because it's meant to attract people who crave power at the helm. And such people are like bullies, nothing stops them from trying the inevitable, from wanting to harm in order to control. Defective by design. So the formula is kinda just baked into it. They will always seek harm because they always want control, that's why they exist as isolated groups and communes in the first place. Just my 2 cts. -

There's hardly ethics followed in any other field let alone spirituality. There's corruption in the police force.. Psychologists and psychiatrists routinely break guidelines. Dr K? Most spiritual groups are full of cultists. Spiritual communities are the least moderated /regulated groups out there. It would be like policing a bar where people get drunk and engage in fist fights. Spiritual communities are just as shady as the internet. You can't expect a clean experience. It will be decades before such a thing is even a possibility. How many religions have we succeeded in getting rid of? This is "do it at your own risk" sort of a thing. There will never be proper guidelines for this. The only thing someone can ever do is raise awareness about the dangers of spiritual communities that behave like cults and let people make their own choices. People who are not ignorant and care about their own well-being will be less likely to join such things I compare this phenomenon to drugs. Ignorant people will always want to experiment with dangerous drugs despite being fully aware of the consequences of it. Yet people who are wise and are thoroughly responsible/matured will never do such things. I'm not trying to victim blame. My point is that toxic things exist in the world because some people like those toxic things. They really want it. This is a part of self regulation rather than public regulation since it's impossible to monitor every community. Some communities are secret. -

So I reflected on the aspects of productivity and motivation and much of it is high energy, high vibe, fighting, struggling, pushing forward, being passionate, excited, fierce and pumping, moving upwards and gaining momentum etc. It's like fire. It's very motivating Then I watched some videos about self love and healing and taking care of the self and I noticed the gentler aspects of self improvement which are not about being Type A. Just no pressure, relax, letting go, taking care of oneself. A sophisticated system of - Gentleness /Empathetic connection - softness, pleasantness, caring-ness, compassionate emotional intelligence - sophisticated soft delicate gentle vibe. There's an emotional sensitive sweetness to it. I'll call it Emocouvia(my new word lol) This is relax, balance, rest, peace, calm. Emocouvia is about moving downwards, being gentle, balance, peace, resting, soft, Empathetic, sweetness, listening, flowing calmly and freely without the tension of upward mobility. Both systems are necessary equally. You need days where you want to feel active, charged, motivated and excited to inject your work with passion and pushing forward, making progress. But you also need days, when you want to wind down, be on the down low, be gentle and passively protective, just compassionate and gentle with the self, emotional yet not overly emotional, just soft with how you feel and connect and gentle with yourself and everything around you. Being a bit sensitive and pleasant and appreciating pleasant vibes. Sort of a refuge for the tired wounded hyper stimulated self yet with some gentle tacit passive motivation still woven into it. So I used the words "emotional" and "cove" and created my own word Emocouvia to describe this soft vibe and state of Gentleness combined with soft (less loaded) emotion.

Creating a solid emotional support system. (where there is no real love, no wisdom, evil will take up space like weed growing in a garden which is not tended. Where there is a strong real love, divine guidance, divine connection, spiritual balance, wisdom, evil cannot live there, only God's aura can live there, goodness can live there. Ma'at can live there. Kundalini lives there.

I always think I must have low IQ. But there's hope for people like me. (I suffer autism) Recently I have realized that I don't need to feel so helpless about this. I'm contemplating that the brain is like a muscle. It can be trained to think and think and think. (I suck at this because my brain often goes fully blank). If I keep training my brain, maybe I'll keep getting better at making decisions and thinking. Anyone with similar struggles who relates and has probably found alternative solutions and insights? Thanks. (most people do better than me on intelligence based tests and I get low scores and that gets me very upset that I can't compete with them) sucks ass.
