How would we know so sure? There are many teachers discussing what the purpose of life is. There has been said: there is no purpose, you can make yourself one; discovering truth (in this case); co-creating; What you did want to experience before you were born (freedom, self-expression, truth etc.) desires rooted in intuïtion experienced during life; Transforming the world to a heart-centered consciousness for the well-being of all; etc. There is some kind of truth to all of them, in different consciousness levels. -
The remedy is called enlightenment. If you want a more short term solution, where enlightenment is met on the way, I recommend looking at self-love. Matt Kahn has a ground-breaking new book called 'Whatever arises, love that'. This may seem not connected, but it is 100% connected.

This is a really good question. Matt Kahn has many videos where he speakes about this subject. It is also found in the article: The 'Who Am I Question' is an old Paradigm, Here An Effective New One; near the end of the video found in the article. It is found on this forum.

How mine has gone has some difference. Asleep - > Discovering you are not the body (13?-2-2015) - > Dark Night of Soul - > first enlightenment experience - > Dark Night of Soul- > back in the matrix - > *symptoms 5d consciousness - back in the matrix, but really aware while feeling fulfilled (without meditation) -> releasing judgements - > old patterns dissolve -> immense compassion increase - > multiple realizations and awakenings - > 12-2-2016 - > ? *I followed a teaching of self-love that resulted in results very quickly (in two weeks of vacation). Eventually I was feeling very light, having a deep understanding that everything was one, feeling the empty state of love, loss of passion and being a state were you truly know nothing. I felt it was not really the right time and I consciously stept back. I do not think there is a completely accurate model that can be made. -
After some research I do know that her ego is not completely dissolved. But I have to add a point that she helps people increasing their awareness. She does teach people how to feel emotionally better. People think because they read the perspective from Jessica and Camaron that she is completely manipulative etc. Even if that is all true, here are just things to notice about Teal: All those things happened a few years ago (if all actually objectively happened in that way), it may have changed; Everyone who experienced such intense abuse from such a young age, is mostly dysfunctional and gets many dissorders. The fact that Teal can offer teachings and has helped many people with her art, is something that I respect. My cousin works with people who had gone trough intense abuse from a young age (just as Teal, mostly less brutal). These people are around age of 15 I think. They manipulate people as they never had trust in their life, and constantly test every relationship in a cruel way to test if they would give them still love. There is simply no hope for their lives. They all have dissorders that will stick to them for the rest of their life. If you imangined a person that is now 19 year old, who has stand trough 15 years of abuse. This abused kid would some years later help humanity to awaken to their feelings, and pull people out of their abuse/depression for hundreds of thousands of people. Would you agree to stop that person so she would be unable to teach? It is spiritually immature to write 6+ hours of content how that person acts on their behaviour as a result of the intense abuse. And to say how crappy she is because of that. In the case of Camaron Klark and Jessica Swab. If you read the text above, you will understand why most of humanity respects Teal. Even when her teachings 'would be all stolen from self-help books and Abraham Hicks', does 3-5 hours of work for the AskTeal series and still has some ego. That does not take away that she transformes people their lives. Besides, Leo his ego is also not completely dissolved, yet he transformed my life and many others. I quit my game addiction as a result of Leo his videos. I installed many great habits. I started meditating because of him. He introduced me to enlightenment, where I got one experience of. I quitted pick-up. He reconnected me to my lifework, which I tried so hard to deny due to emotional pain connected to it. I got so many insights and changed beliefs because of his videos. I have gone to depression to feeling fulfilled most of my day. Leo helped in it, Teal helped in it.

To be more loving and authentic to everyone around you, this will be your solution. I found with this teaching that all the times I am inauthentic are crushed. I found also that the people around me began treating me in a much more lovely way, it still surprises me. -

Their are many teachings on this way to enlightenment. -
From a non-physical perspective, your Life Purpose are more things like self-expression, freedom, truth, unconditional love etc. A way to look at it is to look at your best experience and worst experience of your life. And contemplate why it felt so good/bad. Example: My best experience was standing by the sea in the evening in Greece, alone. When I ask continuously why, I came to the conclusion that it was freedom (and oneness). You can do this with more experiences you remember very well, conclusions of other experiences had the same result (only self-expression is a life purpose of mine too).

These questions of 'why' someone would want to be enlightened, are completely normal in a way. Everyone on there journey has those (I think). Your brain and beliefsystem need to integrate the idea of enlightenment. Further ahead the journey you will discover that enlightenment is not depressing at all, it is just fully participating in life. Enlightenment becomes something fun. To some extend you will always have an idea you experience it in a body, only you are not the body. Personally I am more interested in self-expression than truth. Truth is not ultimately the most valuable thing in the journey, but (as Matt Kahn says) it is love (what as by-product causes the realization of truth). If you want all the fears to go away, I recommend the teaching on self-love; Teal Swan and Matt Kahn have videos on that topic. -

Shadow work. Teal Swan goes really deep on this topic in her videos. -
I really like how such teachers are totally different in how they teach, yet are complementary. The people who follow Teal tend to be more empaths, or people who are coming from a low place in their life (includes abused people). People who are still new to the spiritual field and/or are coming from pick-up community, tend to be more viewers of the videos from Leo (huge generalisations). He actually introduced me to spirituality in a non-bullshit way. My connotation before that time to spirituality was from a 13th grade teacher who brought 'a toaster that sucks negative energy' in the class, and many more bullshit things. Furthermore she was always very angry, while the class was never as wild before. Leo did a really good job redefining spirituality for a lot of people!

That could be something very different than an enlightenment experience. I had a similair experience, only lasting a few months without pause. It was by far the most terrifying experience of my life. The story goes: in a short period of time, I experienced many devestating experiences that my system could not handle/integrate. As a result, something in me decided to leave my body, where I could not feel emotions for a few months. I thought it was enlightenment, because my viewpoint was far above my head, everything was one. But it was really different than the first enlightenment experience I had few weeks prior. This time I felt really numb: no emotion. You can't feel happy, depressed, fulfilled, emptiness; I felt nothing. I lived for a long time in such an altered state (not the same as enlightenment), that I tought I had a heavy form of borderline or that I was dead. Reflecting back on your story (suggestions) could be the cause of: being not comfortable with the experience being ungrounded fear of intimicy due to childhood experiences etc. -

Something I noticed is that when you want to pet your cat, she doesn't come to you. When you don't want her near you, she does come. I think she could sense if humans are being needy. -
Do you have a public playlist, or do you feel like sharing some of your favorite (rock) songs?

It is only for those with a really open mind. I would say many people think it is the whoowhoo stuff. It is best that everyone sees if it resonates with them. Otherwise this topic would really be about 'are they speaking the truth or not?'

I practice every minute. The most casual way to go about enlightenment is self-love. To do everything on your own is kind of egoïstic. Often saying 'I love you' to yourself, raises your state of emotion that matches love/enlightenment. You resolve density in your body what eventually causes enlightenment. -

Interesting. Meditating for too long can become stagnant. Luckely there is a video for this exact problem. The video is worth it. A few minutes in the video it he will talk about this topic. It will be easily fixed. I would watch it completely for the whole experience. Good luck!- 8 replies

The video from Leo on free will is contradicting in a way. I completely understand his perspective, but why do enlightened people like Matt Kahn, Teal Swan, Abraham Hicks talk about free will. The choice between fear or love is what they mean I think, or the point of focus in nothingness. Note: not in like 'who made the desicion', but I they mean that the observer self has a point of focus. The problem with this teaching is that you can ask yourself 'who am I', and still not be nice. For the people that do want to be enlightened, the who am I is not gonna get you far. I highly recommend the teaching on self-love that is overlooked here.

I really understand your perspective. But when you watch Eckhart Tolle or Matt Kahn, do they want something in return? They are doing a selfless service. I thought it was impossible, but when you are transitioning to heart-centered consciousness, you want to help other people. A book I recommend is 'Whatever arises, love that', it is brand new.

Actualizing the self is great. But does anyone notices the results they are getting? example: I want to fix my perfectionism. solution: Beating myself up for doing it This paradigm did not gave me much results. I feel like self-development wages war with yourself sometimes. A applied a new paradigm from Matt Kahn (I talk about him in other posts, actualized.org would benefit from it), solution: setting intentions, and start being okay with perfectionism, eventually loving it. After a few days, perfectionism can not exist in a state of self-love. Everybody can try for themselves. Did anyone had the same experience with self-actualizing techniques, like having more things to fail at, than getting more results.
