Im curious what people think of this from a conscious politics standpoint. It seems to me like a display of propaganda, pageantry power, nationalism and fear. Keep yourselves in order and follow the regime or else. We have extortionate amounts of power so you can trust us to protect you. I feel it's also a display to the outside world not to mess with them. It seems very stage red/blue. I really feel that a country like china needs an authoritarian figure to hold the country together especially with what happened in Tianamen Square in the past so they need this to control such a large population. The problem is this is complete control by fear and i would have much preferred to see a 70th anniversary showing all the wonders of China like their love for Calligraphy, Tai Chi and drinking Pu'er tea in tea houses.

yes i generally take 2g dried and always pass out but the boundary between asleep and awake usually gets transcended so it makes no difference. -
In my direct experience it seems to be that the more the light is shone on my ego the more painful it becomes that I can be like this to the point where it doesn't seem beneficial for my well being to continue thinking in this way as it is hurting to think like this. This week I went on holiday with some friends and reflecting on some of the separating thoughts I had like being jealous of a friend for being much more sociable than me started to make my body tense up to the point where it wouldn't be wise to hold on to these thoughts and they must be let go of. Is this generally how raising your consciousness works by feeling the pain and being aware that it doesn't serve you and needs to be let go of with a re-framing of how you think about things or is it more about the constant light that can be shone on things or do they go hand in hand?

Yea fair point because a stage blue person can still be highly conscious and even enlightened right. The difference between growing up and waking up. -

I agree it's not about labels and as Leo states the map is not the territory, but still models can be useful for navigating the relative world. It's like when I was travelling last week and we were all waiting for this hippie to who was late to get on the boat. He kept saying time is just a concept to excuse him for being late, maybe so but it's something we have all agreed upon so get to the boat on time so we dont all have to wait for you. Regardless if these are just labels there are definitely traditional qualities that a good majority of Chinese have which for me would create conflict in a long term relationship. The world of spirituality and self improvement is so full of people thinking that because they are interested in this stuff they need to be perfect. The reality is that we aren't and thats why we like this stuff. At the end of the day i'm not Lao zi and need someone more relatable to me to aid my thinking not bring it down. It's like that saying you are the sum of the people you spend the most time with, if i spend so much time with low consciousness it could affect my thinking. -

Anyway back to politics. I think the problem is economic growth is their main concern being more important than peoples health, well being or happiness they are infrastructure being more important than healthy lungs. I was travelling around China for national week(国庆节) and it was amazing to see how everything i saw was about how great China is. I saw a man free solo rock climb up a 100 meter wall risking his life but the crowd only cheered when he waved the Chinese flag at the top. I also love china but not in the same way they do. If you ask Chinese why they love China they will say because of the party and if you ask why is that you will hit rock bottom or what I like to call a communist cul de sac (french for dead end). -

Yes you are right not all are "blue". It depends where in the country they live. The first tier cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangdong) are quickly becoming orange and if you met people who travel they will definitely be exposed to other cultures especially the ones who have VPNs and can access information that isn't propaganda. However even these people if you were to marry them are heavily influenced by their culture and the older generations being forced into blue values. Saying this I find the majority of them very nice as long as you stay away from politics or anything that offends their national pride and collective ego. -

Ive been living in China for the last 7 years and what serpantZA channel talks about is pretty much on point. Although he has started to get alot more negative about China in his videos lately. As for dating Chinese girls they are very beautiful and they are very attracted to white men. You have the options of girls completely out of your league from what you can get back home. However the cultural differences are massive and dating stage blue girls with stage blue traditional values can be very challenging even for the most open minded individuals. There are so many family pressures for security, marriage, house, cars, babies and looking after the extended family that it can be overwhelming. This is one reason i'm thinking of moving to live in a green country like somewhere in Scandinavia in the future. -

raising your consciousness

This seems a pretty flawless thought experiment to design and govern a society. I remember Leo using this example in his conscious politics multi part series. The only critique i would have of it is that it doesn't take into account historical context. If you don't know about how black people have historically had a disadvantage for example then you would be ignorant of how to design a society fairly. It doesn't take into account certain disadvantaged groups who would need more aid within the society.

Could it be possible that people go on a self development journey because of the way society currently is. The majority of people are so disconnected from having any meaning in their life and disconnected from others that we need to pursue something to give us meaning? It seems like self actualisation is an obvious meaning maker. If I lived in multi-generation communities where we were all connected to each other and had a purpose to help out our community in whatever way i'm sure I wouldn't be so focussed on self development and would be content with what I already have and the journey I was on. However because people feel more and more disconnected from others, themselves and nature I feel they need something like this to strive for. What are peoples thoughts on this?

If I’m thinking something negative about someone what is the likelihood that they are also thinking negatively about me? If I let go of my negative thoughts about someone else does this mean they also let go? I know many will answer in the absolute term I am them and they are me but I am talking in the relative sense. If I do loving kindness meditation and send out positive thoughts of wellbeing to someone what are the chances that these thoughts will actually make a difference to that person or is the general idea that by sending out loving warmth to another person it is giving more love to yourself.

Wouldn't that make Mate more stage yellow if he understands Trumps behaviour from a compassionate and empathetic perspective without being judgemental? -
Russell Brand and Candace Owens have a very rational debate about capitalism and socialism. Many great points are made here.

In that case Joe could introduce him to his sensory deprivation tanks, smoke some DMT with him and then get him on his show rather than ostracising him. -

In that case how do you deal with convicted felons? A loving approach is to forgive and give a second chance right? I like the way Norwegians handle serial killers giving them a chance for redemption and not vilifying them. If they lied before and you never trust them again surely they would just be locked up forever or even be given the death penalty.
