Then don't call it 'love'. Call it 'vibrational energy' or some such. No one has the slightest idea what 'love' is, but people surely want to 'have it' and come up with many explanations, both poetic and psychologically technical.

@Joseph Maynor I asked you a question before you posted a reply above. It is OK, I found out how. Thank you. I would like to see some sanity too. It is not likely I will communicate much though. I came with one purpose: to point to the website, mainly because it talks about true reality of Jed McKenna whom I met in Cambodia. So you see... there are levels of insanity or rather, what drives each one of us individually.

You nailed it in this phrase: a separation of theory from Reality. Realization of emptiness, release of attachments are simple by-products of what takes place, and are not the big E (and I cringe using the word, but words are all we have in this virtual environment) . The big E simply means Clarity of Vision. Seeing everything as is. Without filters. While human filters are still present, there are much less of them, and one becomes acutely aware of them within self and others.

There is no enlightenment. It is a fairytale, right from the beginning when that first man (be it the Buddha or Jesus or what ever) realised there is nowhere to run, but here, in the world. Of course they had to sit in the cave or under a tree to see what is right under one's nose. Ironic that it spawned religious cults, books, 'teachers' (what? teach you how to be alive?), the whole spiritual business enterprise which keeps sucking human in. The Game.

If one steps away from the fairytale and looks at what is with clear eyes - true Reality is devoid of love. There is no love in nature. Love is an entirely human concept. As any concept, it has become subject to numerous discussion and poetic expression.

In answer to the thread topic.. there is no difference. Neither are real.

You assume. I lived in Sri Lanka and moved because the job there came to an end. Jed encouraged me to come to Cambodia in that time period. I never took any photos of Jed, it would be impossible. All is publically available on the internet, if one knows where to look. What happened? I discovered his true identity and life. Nothing else. How I discovered that - will be on the website. You don't have to read if it offends your 'sensibilities'. There is no murder and gory in the story. Thank you.

There is something for you to look at in that first sentence you wrote. Regarding witholding... Jed doesn't withold anything, except the last piece: there is no such thing as 'enlightement'.
