How did Martin Ball get enlightened using 5-MeO ? Read this 300-page book and you'll know. And, yes, you need to read it cover to cover. I also really love this book because it just shows you how accessible enlightenment is. Let me get clearer here. When someone tells us that we're already enlightened, we just forgot, it doesn't really help. But after having finished this book, I really feel that enlightenment is right there ! Also, I felt a real evolution of the Martin character. By this I mean that you have to become the kind of person who can be enlightened before reaching enlightenment. And I could really see this happening for him. At a few points in the book, he stops the story and elaborates on what he learned in that period of his life. This is awesome. It really helps solidify the learning. It's like Wyatt Woodsmall says "knowledge + experience = understanding." I'll leave you off to the book with another lesson I've learned : I can grow myself spiritually using any kind of altered state of consciousness, but I need radical Grounded Openness to do so.

Hello A few months ago, I decided to start experimenting with new meditation techniques. I started re-arranging how I would do my meditation. Yesterday, I sat down to do my usual meditation. And then, after I was done with it, I just decided to start again on a second technique directly after the first one. And then I went to a third one. What ended up happening is that I meditated for 2 hours straight, whereas usually I only do 1 hour. When I looked at the time after the meditation, I was shocked I had gone this long. I realized I had completely lost track of time there. What do you guys think about it? Do you have anything to share? -
Currently learning computer science in college. Looking to become a professor, but most importantly, trying to both figure out and fulfill my life purpose.

I'd say any book about enlightenment and spirituality can help you. One thing though: you don't need a book to understand overthinking. You can just sit down and really contemplate overthinking, and from that you will derive understanding.

I would probably end up fantasising about getting out for most of that year, to tell you the truth. But, let's imagine, very unrealistically, that I didn't. I'd cry, I'd spend most of my time purging stuck stuff. I'd feel very afraid of life. And then, if a year is long enough, I'd feel happy.

When Leo did his contemplation video, I actually started contemplating my own Shadow. It was, and still is, very helpful. The general rule of thumb I have is: if I don't like it, it's in my Shadow. And, really, just becoming aware of what's in my Shadow was enough. I didn't even have to try to start liking these things.

Your original question was: "are beliefs and the self-image the only limitations to personal development?" To my knowledge, no. Your upbringing, your idiosyncrasies, and what I call your mind-nature (as in, whether you're more left brain or right brain) are limitations as well. Beliefs and self-image, however, seem to be a bigger deal to many people. But, to me, lack of self-knowledge is the biggest obstacle.

You guys think you'd want solitary confinement, but be careful what you wish for. It's the worst to me. On the other hand, if I had to stay in solitary for eternity, I'd eventually make peace with it.

Awareness is absolute constant Nothing, its contents are ever-changing Somethings. Embrace both parts of reality - they're you.

Leo just claimed that the more contemplation we do, the deeper our understanding of reality is, and subsequently the higher our quality of life is. And then he said that we can just try it for ourselves and see it. Okay, fine. I have been seeing this correlation (not to be confused with causation) in my experience. Although, gonna need to find deeper truth for myself here. But, let's assume that's true for a second. I'm afraid I'm doing contemplation wrong, which is likely an ego defense mechanism. Can I use this as a litmus test? Meaning: If I don't see my understanding of whatever I choose to be contemplating become deeper, does that mean I'm doing contemplation wrong, or could it be something else? Or something? It's really hard to contemplate these questions. Because they're not "one static thing that just is what it is."

Practice and theory, both at the same time. In my experience, these are synergistic - one supports the other, and vice versa.

So, in conclusion, no one. No one is enlightened. -

Nor does it produce what you are. Actually filters it. -

Even 2x30 is worse than 1x60. To illustrate, a Vipasana retreat is just 12h of meditation for 10 days straight - you could do it at home - but you get absolutely amazing results. -
High consciousness stems from inquiry and research. The default position in life is to suck up beliefs without questioning them.

YES! Finally, someone was able to put it into words. I always dismissed those people out of hand, telling myself there was no value. Looking back on it I was rationalizing, not accepting, and just being like them. Yikes! Well, I'm in love with them now P.S. : I almost never use emojis -

I once thought that I was watching a movie. That none of this was real, and that I had no control. And, then, I went to my sister and she told me that, no, I was wrong, this is real life and I can touch stuff. I believed her but still thought I had stumbled upon a very accurate and coherent explanation of the nature of reality. -

The assignment at school was the first exercise (the 4-minute conversion). I was lucky here because nobody in my class knows shit about the true nature of their own being, and they think I'm crazy. The exercises themselves are similar to Leo's list of Enlightenment exercises, designed to help a beginner mind on the process of enlightenment. The truth is that they're more of a Litmus test: If you want to develop an information product based business online, you have to be able to do these exercises. Also they can help you with thinking more creatively. -
An assignment at school has opened up a gate and now my brain is just flooded with ideas for exercises. You could say that those are like deliberate practice for information workers. If you've got any ideas for exercises, go ahead and post them here. If you've got any stories or experiences to report on the subject, I'm sure we'd be incredibly grateful. ------------------------------------------ I call them the KnowYourStuff exercises. Because if you don't know your stuff, you can't do them. The truth is, if you're really passionate about what you do, and if you're good enough, you'll accomplish them with ease. And, in fact, you'll be able to treat them like play. Some of these exercises are really fun and you can take the crazy to really high degrees. ------------------------------------------ Anyways, without further ado, here they are: The 4-Minute Conversion The 4-Hour Essay The 3-Circle Vision The 2-Step 3-Circle Vision The Top 3 of the Field Package The Crazy Scenarios The Paradox The MOST Inspiring Quote The One Terrible Aspect Procrastination Transformation Create your own exercises.

Some people report only being transported in heaven and becoming one with God. WITHOUT FEAR! WITHOUT SUFFERING! Without anything but pure bliss. Are they just really experienced with 5-MeO and spirituality that they trust the experience that much? Could you tell us more about this?

I've actually never done psychedelics before, just repeating what Leo and Azrael have been telling people on this forum. But, from what I understand, nausea is removed. And, since that's gone, you can focus all your attention on the good stuff. My research on the subject has led me to believe that there are plenty of methods you can use to remove nausea, e.g. making mushroom tea with ginger. But, I guess the most effective method still is alcohol extract (even though I wouldn't know). -
I feel like people don't seem to understand the significance of the following :

@Tronds World you can find psilocybin alcohol extract in certain places on the internet (note: where on the internet will not be discussed here). Start with 1 capsule, then work your way up till you get a breakthrough experience - which could actually happen on the first try. Don't do normal mushrooms, the trip is too dirty, a really clean trip will make growth easier. After you're done with mushrooms, do the real deal: 5-MeO-DMT, good stuff. I encourage you to re-watch Leo's video on "How to use psychedelics for personal development." And go to erowid.org to find trip reports. -

I'm currently working on a 4-minute presentation of the process that leads to Liberation from Ego. It's been a lot of fun obsessing over this for the past 2 weeks, and it's going to be a lot more fun obsessing over this for the next 3 weeks. It went something like this : A 4-minute presentation about anything I want => about the True Nature of Reality (I was gonna bring in quantum mechanics, here) => about Epistemology (especially how much you lie to yourself about how you're this real thing that exists - that was a laugh) => about your Brain (and all the different areas of the brain responsible for your sense of self) => about Liberation (through 5-MeO). To put this into context, I'm in college and a course I have this year is "Communication," and our professor asked to make a 4-minute presentation about our passion. All of my classmates already think I'm crazy, so this is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! I can't wait. I'll probably report back what happened.
