i compare this reality(illusion in that it is limited and symbolic) such that is like pixels on a screen...yet i can luse the system to 'work'; i cant directi\ly use electricity- am i a pixel too?

I have similar problems of motivation; the 'world is so much 'stuff'', noise, misdirected energy- I used to think that I was above it all ..awake... /not so/ I am a machine like all contianers'... my latest insight is the" samsara is nirvana" it is all one and to focus on the surface is not helpful .

most traditions prefer that one doesn't mix practices and beliefs- I mostly agree with leos' perspective of many view points and practices- but why do we have monks ect...seems that without being isolated from noise and culture (at least for a time) the path is much more difficult..i find retreat is very helpful; doubt I could awaken in life.... on a personal note things have been ...unraveling for years... and very much including no motivation to participate in the mostly low conscious activities...sometimes its ' like returning in meditation from distactions .. which is strengthening I still very much hope for the shortcut! a consolidation of the many practices... but without guidance; the subltes can easily waste time or worse.

ive used 'holosync... just a demo for months - it did have pos effects, visual changes amplified my perceptions like 30ug lsd.... wonder about Robert monroes- gateway center - I'm reviewing r m for some of my assessment/philosophy/mission ground work....... isn't there a realm where the ego is useful and practical- in the local(robertMonroe) just some what like the (alchemical) the ego and even its' original survival use is fuel for growth...and useful as a prime material....question what is real and what is appearance.

its about self change and self knowledge; traditional paths are in a sense psychological, and are helpful tho terms maybe revealing or confusing,if you can gain insight and perspective they are useful.
