@Waken This also goes very well with the Triune brain model.. which says that we actually have 3 brains nested inside of each other. Human beings first developed a Reptilian brain, then a Limbic brain, and then Neocortex. So, the Reptillian brain (automatic instincts) is nested inside the Limbic Brain (Building social bonds, caring for each other), which in turn is nested inside the Neocortex (the rational or thinking brain) This roughly corresponds with Spiral Dynamics as well.. All Tier 1 stages have a primary center of intelligence - one of the brains overpowering the others. Beige (Physical) Purple (Emotional > Physical) Red (Physical> Rational) Blue (Physical> Rational) Orange (Rational > Instinctual) Green (Emotional > Rational) The leap to 2nd tier is the integration of instincts, emotions, and rationality - so that they are in sync. To answer your question: Red is concerned about his own immediate bodily needs and how to gratify them immediately. That's the reptilian brain - eat, fuck and kill. His identity (and thus his survival) is limited to his body. (That's why the adornments and "scars are a symbol of pride" etc.). Blue is an expansion of Red. Now instead of 'I am this body which I must save at all costs', it becomes "all the bodies which has these features -ethnicity, place of belonging etc." - are my brothers and sisters and a part of my identity. Notice that it is still limited to 'physical' aspects of reality. Orange is centered in the mind. Conceptual ideas like achievement and success start to take hold. Green is centered in emotions. Interpersonal relationships and social bonding become most important. You are tier-2 when you can revisit and integrate all of them into a cohesive, well-coordinated whole - so that none of them overpowers the other. I don't know how accurate that is. I'm just playin'.

That's a great question, and I have been thinking about how wisdom and effectiveness are directly related. If we see wisdom as "True understanding of how reality (or an aspect of reality) works" and effectiveness as "the degree to which you are successful in creating the desired outcome in reality." So, if I really understand something, then I can apply it to the real world and (with a reasonable probability) produce the desired result. If I really understand entrepreneurship, for example, then I am able to build and launch profitable businesses,. and if I really understand how human body works, I am able to keep it well-functioning for a long time. etc. That gets armchair philosophizing - sitting and thinking that I have got it all figured out because I saw a video on it - out of the way. Moving up the spiral = Taking more perspectives = Deepening your understanding of reality The more perspectives a person can see from, the more WIN-WIN-WIN (I win, YOU win, EVERYONE wins) ideas he/she can propose and higher the probability that those ideas are actually implemented and are successful. -- Red is centered in his body Orange is centered in his intellect/rationality Green is centered in his emotions Personal effectiveness (to not keep fighting yourself and align with your life purpose) requires a substantial degree of body-intellect-emotions (or Red-Orange-Green) integration.. that is, imo, what marks Stage Yellow.

Productivity: The effectiveness of productive effort, especially in industry, as measured in terms of the rate of output per unit of input. Here are the most useful ideas I have found on increasing productivity/effectiveness: 80/20 Principle: Most things don't matter. Focus on essentials, delete / delegate / outsource the rest. Learn every aspect of your business, break it down into components, build a system, and delegate everything. Work ON your business, not IN it. "Constantly seek feedback", "Strengthen your strengths.", and many other gems. Productivity Pyramid: A refined, more applicable version of 80/20 principle. Puts all activities in a neat, actionable model. The Inner Butterfly effect: Cause and effect, Inner and outer butterflies. We are not in as control as we think. Creating a second brain / Collect, Organize, Distill, Express: This is very similar to the idea of keeping a commonplace book. Since most of us are knowledge workers, this is especially valuable.

How are Love and Responsibility related? If I am infinitely loving, am I infinitely responsible? How does that play out in everyday human relationships? How are Love and Presence related? I realize that Love dramatically enhances my presence in a situation, which I would have otherwise tried to escape in subtle ways. Please comment on that. What are some practices to contemplate Love in everyday life? How to get a direct taste of infinite love? -
Unless you are bringing something truly unique to the table (which has a probability of 0.01%), expect this to be true. So what do you do? Get the first BAD version of what you want to create out there FAST. Give it away. Ask for feedback. Then refine it, and keep making it better. Or move on to the next thing. Once you have put something out into the World, you no longer have any control over it. To illustrate, Che Guevera spent his entire life combating the forces of Capitalism, now T-shirts with his face are sold at the Gap. Think you have some kind of ownership over what you create? --- At the same time, the way You will create something will not be different from someone else creating the same thing. You bring your own unique way of seeing reality to it. Either way, you are better off unwiring the resistance and pushing through it anyway.

Does it make you feel inspired? If you read this the first thing in the morning, would you feel a strong sense of belonging and purpose? Would that push you to take real, tangible actions? These are just words. The meaning you assign to these words will gain much more depth and nuance as you work them. This is not the final answer. This is the compass for a long journey ahead.

Curious. I have read some accounts in Yogic lore where they claim to accelerate the healing of the body - including one by Sadhguru in which he supposedly healed his fractured ankle in an hour. No other spiritual traditions seem to claim that. Do you think there is something there? That's a good reminder, thanks.

Possible. It's interesting to consider one's personality as Karma carried from one's previous lifetime (which is a prevalent idea in Hindu tradition). Sadhguru is an interesting case. From what I have read, he was ferociously independent since he was a child. He has mentioned on other occasions that he has been a seeker for many lifetimes and finally got pushed over the brink in this one. However.. Spiral Dynamics is a model of how individual and collective values evolve over time. This has a correlation with how one's energy center moves from one Chakra to another (which you could say is the model Sadhguru uses). However, they are two different models. It is also important to distinguish between Spiral Dynamics and Enlightenment. Awakening experiences can accelerate your growth on the spiral but that is it. It seems that the heavier your personality is (the more attached you are to your own ideas and beliefs) the more karma you are carrying. The more you burn off that Karma, the weaker your attachment gets to your own personality (ideas, beliefs, way of thinking) and you carry that over to the next lifetime and so on until you realize the whole game. Every awakening makes you a little more advanced as a player.

Raising Consciousness gives you higher and higher altitude to look at reality. Realizing that science is not absolute truth will only free your thinking to explore new ways of solving problems. It will make you more creative because the higher your altitude, the farther you can see and cross-pollinate ideas from. When Leo talks about Science, he talks about a caricature of a hard-nosed, materialist scientist. A caricature that doesn't actually exist. The core of science is seeking, or pure curiosity. It is just that today's science doesn't go deep enough. Even if you are absolutely enlightened, the world is still there. Earthquakes will still be happening. You would just be absolutely free to spend your time-energy doing whatever you like. What would you rather be doing?

Domain of Mastery: People Patterns Human beings are complex. A non-exhaustive list of different approaches to understanding a person: Level of Consciousness (LOC) Preference for cognitive functions Sources: Jung, Beebe, Linda Berens, OPS, etc. To bring this home, Leo (INTP) is Ti - Ne / Contemplating - Creating Specific delusions Related to childhood trauma / disconnection from God (or Wholenesss) Sources: Enneagram Specific difficulties Related to childhood trauma / disconnection from God (or Wholeness) Sources: Enneagram Body type, Somatotypes: Ectomorph, Endomorph, Mesomorph What is the correlation between Body type and personality? Peculiarities like Supposedly Tony Robbins had a growth hormone leaked into his body when he was young Ken Wilber has a massive cranium Larger, denser brain = more conceptualization capacity Primary Center of Intelligence (Body, Mind, Emotions) Sources: Enneagram, Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, "The Fourth Way", Triune Brain model Body language, Direct correlation between one's posture and digestive system, nervous system, etc. Sources: Hatha Yoga, Amy Cuddy, Jordan Peterson "Stand up straight with your shoulders back", Desmond Morris, etc. Evolution of values over time (Spiral Dynamics) Evolution of needs over time (Maslow): Big 5 Personality traits IQ etc Questions: What is the level of consciousness of this person? How conscious is this person of his everyday activities? What is the predominant emotional state that this person is in? Where is this person's energy predominantly directed? Towards the subject (inner world) or the object (outer world)? Where does this person get his information from? What does he rely more on while making decisions? Abstract principles, theory, and Big-picture thinking OR Concrete, physical-tangible reality? What are decisions weighed upon: Values or Logic? What is the life story that this person is attached to? What is the specific neurosis that he/she is suffering from? What does he/she keep seeking but never quite gets? What is the recurring pattern in their life? Of body, emotions, and mind, what is this person naturally and predominantly centered in? What is the order in which the other two centers are developed? Examples: Leo (Ti-Ne) and Eben Pagan (Ni-Fi) are first centered in conceptual mind (most developed /sophisticated), then the physical body, then emotions (least developed/sophisticated) Emerald Wilkins (Ni-Fe) seems to rely primarily on her emotions, then mind, then her body Annie Lalla (Fi-Ne) seems to go emotions, mind, then her body TJ Reeves (Ne-Ti) seems to go body, mind then emotions Joe Rogan (Te-Se) - Body > Mind > Emotions Tony Robbins (Te - Se) - Mind > Body > Emotions David Goggins (Se - Te) - Body > Mind > Emotions Jocko Willink (Se - Te) - Body > Mind > Emotions etc Where is this person in their hierarchy of needs? What is it that they think they want? What will they desire after this is fulfilled? What does this person see as important and valuable? Is he/she mainly agentic or communal? Agentic: "I" am the real entity. Decisions based on the individual's desires, needs and ambitions Communal: "We" is the real entity. Decisions primarily based on keeping group harmony. How well-coordinated are this person's movements? How comfortable does this person to be in his/her body? Lack of coordination suggests lack of body-mind integration (predominance of one over another) A physically graceful person (a dancer, a martial artist, ) Examples: Sadhguru, Peter Ralston, Leonardo Da Vinci What are the traits that have more or less remained the same over his/her lifetime? Openness to new experiences Conscientiousness Extraversion Agreeableness Neuroticism etc

This is a good one.

That's a good overarching approach when finding a profitable niche. There are the questions he talks about in the video: Is your prospect motivated strongly by emotion? Is your prospect proactively seeking solutions right now? Does your prospect have few or no perceived options?

Since most of my time is spent working on my laptop, I created this little GIF wallpaper. The frames alternate at 1.2s / 72bpm - relaxed heartbeat.

@Artsu That's interesting. There is a lot of misinformation on the internet and a lot of different models based on Cognitive functions - the more the research on the internet, the more confusing and unreliable it gets. Although, Cognitive functions as first principles are pretty handy.

The book ''Midnights with the mystic' is a great inside look into what he is like in person!

@Artsu Me as well! I have gotten INFP, INFJ, ENTJ and ENFP from different tests across time.
