whats the administration method for plugging, do you have to use a syringe?

@Leo Gura or anybody else who might know, can HCL be taken any other way apart from snorting, snorting gave me a runny nose and sore throat.

@Nahm over the last year the more i inquire and mediate, the more apparent and deeper the seeing becomes. the deeper and more apparent it becomes i feel a physical change in my body, alot more relaxed and not as flustered by life. plus when i had this change in experience the mind become alot more quiet -

@Scholar about a year ago I had a permanent change in experience, were i seen that there is no controller of thoughts and the body, its a subtle change in experience. the first 2 thoughts that came to my mind were 'I cant believe how simple this is, and this is the way it has always been i just never seen it'. I was only meditating a few months when this happened, I was on a high for about 3 days when this happened. if this is what happened to you it wont go away its permanent, but its far from being enlightenment -

in my experience inquiry will be boring and repetitive until you have some kind of awakening, then everyday is a new adventure -

what does it mean for self inquiry to be being based?? -

liberation is a desire of the ego from a relative point of view, we want enlightenment so we can be out of suffering, to be special, to have a better experience or whatever. from the egos point of view seeking enlightenment is no different than seeking a job or relationship we want it cos we think it will make us happy. from the absolute point of view, there is no 'I' to seek liberation, this is just life playing out. you seeking is the shape experience takes, and if enlightenment happens you dont become enlightened, its just the shape experience takes. you ever have a lucid dream were you realise you are dreaming during the dream, does the character in the dream realise its a dream, no because the dream character doesnt really exist. only the dream exists, and becoming aware that its a dream is just the shape the dream is taking -

I found dmt great for creating a state of not knowing, not during the trip but as an after effect -
the most surprising thing about 5meo is the after effects, when i go asleep i am going in and out of different states. also physically i feel different, more expanded sense of self and less thoughts
-
had a 5meo breakthrough just now, lasted bot 15mins, there is nothing i can say about what happened in those 15mins. but when i opened my eyes it seemed like i was being born, like i was opening my eyes for the first time
-
what i am saying is the dmt experience was like a 5meo experience. i didnt have visuals with either. no entities nothing like that. i had 50mg of dmt in the pipe.
-
i have done 5meo and dmt a few times. done dmt today and it was the same experience as 5meo, @Leo Gura i remember you saying something about when you do 5meo it changes the effect of other psychedelics you do in future

oh i am very concerned about it, i used that term because, what i am suggesting here seems very far fetched, that there isnt a physical world and an image you have in your mind of a tree is just as real a tree you would see in '' real '' life. but at the same time what i am suggesting here is in line with direct experience but not in line with what thought says. i want enlightenment because i want out of suffering. if you are happy and content in life there is no point in persueing enlightenment
-
@old soul, i dont know how deep you are willing to go on this enlightenment jazz, but the idea behind it is that real and unreal dont exist there is just experience, there is no physical world and matter doesnt exist. so a dream you had lastnight is just as '' real '' as your waking experience, because they are both just made out of the experience of them, the same would apply for tripping on drugs.

I have smoked 5meo never snorted. smoked about 20mg. it was a crazy spectacular beautiful experience, i didnt get any meaning from it. when i do it i feel abit disappointed like im supposed to feel like i experienced god and get all this meaning from it people talk about. why did you find smoking it bad -

at this stage for me it seems like the mind is using these self observation/ self inquiry questions as a sneaky way to perpetuate itself, these questions make the mind feel useful and give it something to do. one pointed concentration on the self is torture for the mind, it makes the mind redundant. -
ya about 40 smoked. im not sure if snorting freebase works, i heard another guy saying he snorted freebase and felt nothing
-
@Afonso I think i know where you got your 5-meo from, its freebase form so you will need to smoke it. i had to do about 40mg to get a breakthrough experience

the answer is there is no one who is aware of reality, reality is self aware. its like in a dream, the character in the dream isnt aware, only the dream is aware, the dream is made of the knowing of it. there is nothing in a dream that has its own independent existence apart from the experience of it, the dream and the knowing of the dream is the exact same thing. being = knowing = known you exist(being) you are aware( knowing of what is known) what would existence/being be without the knowing of it what would knowing be without existence/being -
bobbyward replied to stevegan928's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@stevegan928 for the last year i have had lots of facial tension when meditating or contemplating, I think it is the 'I' feeling being purged from the body. 90% of the separate 'I' is in the feelings in the body. and the more that is purged the more relaxation there is in the body, thats my experience anyway. -

@Leo Gura i think this video is a good summary of Maharshi's technique. I am confused though, a lot of teachers say dont try to stop thought its counterproductive. but this seems to be what Maharshi was advocating. thought arises, inquire into who has the thought, the one who has the thought cant be found as a result thought disappears, and the goal is to stay in this no thought state as long as possible as often as possible until you realize your true nature. -

@Leo Gura what is the difference between this self observation technique and self inquiry as taught by Ramana Maharishi ?
