  1. How would you compare LSD to e.g. shrooms? I experienced LSD as a rather soulless, "mechanical" drug and I feel very little urge to take more. I've got the impression that the effects of psychedelic substances very often represent the conditions in which they were created.
  2. Hmm, I think he has changed a lot lately.
  3. I'm not all too familiar with his map but to me it just looks like a rip-off of the Map of Consciousness by David R. Hawkins, wherein he is definitely not 1000. That would make him akin to Buddha or Jesus. I don't think I've ever been at 1000 so it would be hard to say what is beyond that. But from what I have read: “I” As the Ultimate Reality beyond this dimension transcending dimensions - 1,100 “I” As Essence of Creation - 1,200 Archangel - 50,000+ Divinity - Infinite And those things don't really make any sense to me. Personally I'm feeling kinda lost at the moment. I'm concentrating really hard to see what I'm not seeing, but I'm not getting anywhere. You are talking about God all the time but wtf is that. I just don't get it. Or maybe I do, but I'm fooling myself to believe otherwise. Alan Watts said that seeing your true self is like trying to see your own eyes, and never has that felt more true to me than now. It just seems like a dead end.
  4. I think this ultimately boils down to intent, not the amount. As I said, meditation can also be a neurotic activity. Do-nothing meditation involves no such goal of trying to "quiet the mind". It's essentially letting go of control, which is the very foundation of ego. No attachment to any phenomena, whether it be past, present or future. This does of course imply detachment from projected future. Essentially realizing how you are not subject to anything within the field of awareness, e.g. the physical body. I agree. Nobody should want to die, but they are free to want that if they so wish. If you've ever read about NDEs or advanced mystical experiences, you would know that the decision to return to one's body is often accompanied by a certain reluctance. That is neither right nor wrong. Similarly, someone identifying with a false self are not wrong for wanting to abandon this false self (which subjectively might feel like death). By becoming aware of the suffering that is induced by clinging to the state of happiness. The benefit is that you won't suffer when reality is not living up to the ideal of happiness that you're trying to impose onto it.
  5. I think it's a personality trait that can only be balanced out with maturity. The biggest threat of any incessant freedom-seeker will always be control and order, and conspiracy theories are merely manifestations of this. Drawing from the MBTI model: ExxPs are always whining about being controlled, it's SO typical them. To some extent also IxxPs. This fear of control is a very common theme in conspiracy theories. Now, IxxJs and ExxJs (like Leo who's an INTJ) are all going to go "what's the big deal?". Control is no threat to them, because they would naturally be the ones designing systems. Meaning they don't suffer from the same blindspot. To them, and particularly the IxxJs, chaos is the threat.
  6. E-books, due to accessibility and price. Just make sure to buy a good e-book reader, e.g. Kindle Paperwhite.
  7. To me it was the opposite. Do-nothing meditation helped calm down the neuroticism that was fueling the social anxiety and get more in touch with my authentic self. Getting a break from distractions and letting the dust settle, so to speak. Note that meditation can also be a neurotic activity of trying to "get somewhere". Then I must be living a very theoretical and unrealistic reality. lol "Should" as much as you want, but from my own observations it's not a very pleasant way to live and it stunts growth. Most people, I assume. I don't see what would be stopping them, other than ignorance.
  8. I've heard "Not Nice" by Aziz Gazipura being recommended a lot.
  9. @TrynaBeTurquoise I said some not so nice things in this thread, and I just wanted to say that you're a good guy and that I have nothing against you despite our disagreements. ❤️
  10. Muscle testing is something that I'm very much looking into. It's a nondual technique that can be used to discern truth from falsehood. Read more about it here: "Power vs. Force" by David R. Hawkins http://www.ccrtblog.com/getting-started/?v=c2f3f489a005 http://www.ccrtblog.com/what-do-we-already-know-about-muscle-testing/?v=c2f3f489a005
  11. Hmm, I most often find it a very pleasant activity. But when it's not, it's usually because I'm not coming from a sincere place and not being honest with myself.
  12. @Girzo @Cocolove Same. When I asked the same question it really just seemed absurd to me. There's only existence and that's what I came here to this Earth to experience. I'm already there. So I choose to align myself with Existence, and the rest may simply spring out of that. I also wrote down meditation and yoga as a side note right next to it.
  13. I notice many people are focusing on what they are not getting from the forum. A good recontextualization might be to focus on what you want to give back to the forum instead. That is, changing the focus from taking to giving. If my focus had been to get something from this forum then I would have been gone long time ago. IMO if you decide to leave, do so because you feel like your time is better served elsewhere.
  14. Bots are indeed used by different intelligencies, but what does that have to with the point I was making? Even less invalidate it? I just thought it was noteworthy that outside intelligencies are pushing conspiracy theories at the moment, not the fact that bots are a thing. Conspiracy theories lead to distrust in authorities and instability, which does not serve us at all in these times and why I'm giving people a heads-up to be wary of that connection. It is not without reason that outside intelligencies, seemingly Russia, are pushing such theories at the moment. Normally I couldn't care less about conspiracy theories, but in these times it is absolutely crucial that we mantain stability. Yeah, I've been there myself and that was not where I wanted to go. I was just inquiring, because in my view you were not really saying anything of substance. And also because I wondered if you might have detected some other ongoing trends that I had been ignorant of.
  15. But here we have a documented trend, and I've never noticed it before to such an extent myself. Usually it's just dumb bots but this time it actually seems coordinated and quite intelligent. I really wouldn't dismiss this if I were you. The most troubling thing is that these can be very hard to notice, and it was almost coincidental that I detected it myself. They seem almost authentic. Also, what other "sides" are you talking about in this case? If there are other coordinated efforts going on, preferably documented, then I'm open to hear that.
  16. Doesn't mention it in his own bio as well. I don't believe for a second that guy is a leading immunologist, and one scientist's opinions does not represent the scientific community. And it doesn't matter, because you were spreading disinformation regardless of how amazing he is. Believing it's on par with the flu is just mind-boggingly naive. NO research indicates that. Why would I watch it? Would you watch one and a half hour video from a credible source if I gave it to you? Obviously not. Why don't you just give me the timestamp where he said that like I asked for? Your data is right, but you conclusions and calculations are super naive and absolutely wrong. If you had actually read the first link I posted you would understand why. The last link was merely a suggestion. It's a good website and the data is neatly structured. Ultimately I don't care about the pandemic, no. I follow the guidelines set by health authorities and otherwise just go on with my life as usual. It has served me pretty well. I'm not freaking out over it. @brugluiz Where did I say so?
  17. One of the most reliable immunology experts, according to who? Neither his Wiki page nor his bio mentions the word immunology once. He just seems like your typical self-help guru, mostly just talking about how you can reprogram your mind. Although that doesn't really matter. I was mostly just referring to how you like many others are getting your opinions from highly dubious sources, which hardly can be considered evidence. No, I did not watch it and I feel no need to. To be honest I don't really care about the coronavirus. It's just too hard to sit and watch when people are spreading blatant disinformation and destructive "us vs. them"-mentality. But I'm going to disengage from now on because it never leads to anywhere. Read this to understand how one calculates mortality rate: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-death-rate/#correct They also have up-to-date stats: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ Death rate is probably fairly low, but it's still serious because health care systems are being crippled. This is not the flu.
  18. 5G virus conspiracy theory fuelled by coordinated effort involving bot accounts, researchers say "Jones said the campaign uses a strategy similar to Russia’s internet Research Agency, which was behind a disinformation campaign during the 2016 US presidential campaign. But he said he has not yet concluded that Russia, or any other government or organisation, is behind the effort." I have personally noticed lots of bot accounts spreading conspiracy theories the last couple of days. Instability in the West is exactly what some agencies want, and by promoting them you are exasperating the problem. Be wary.
  19. It gives credibility. But so does experience as well. Writing a book is also an option. Where I study there's lots of different stuff organized by student organizations. However, there's plenty you can do even if you're not a student. You like climbing? Join a climbing group! You are free to pick your community regardless of where you are in life. Then don't. You can begin studying when you see a specific need for it. Yes, you can as long as you're adhering to scientific standards. Research is open to everybody. A degree would definitely be helpful for these purposes though. See it for what it is; craving. Need not fight against it.
  20. That's what I thought. You're putting all your faith in one guy on YouTube who you've told yourself is really significant. Which timestamp, by the way? I assume this survey (and it's only one survey from one town) is what he's reffering to, which suggests a mortality rate of 0.37%. In this town they did extensive testing and out of all studies this is the lowest estimate I have seen, by far. But still, the death rate of seasonal flu is typically around 0.1%, and that is without extensive testing. So those numbers are not really comparable, and even if they were that would still indicate that COVID-19 is more than three times as deadly. So nothing suggests it's "on par with normal flu". But of course, with good research you already would have known that. The hospitals in Northern Italy were/are massively overburdened. In Wuhan they had to build a hospital in 10 days to deal with the influx of new patients. These are not theories, these are facts. We can only speculate where we would have been today if we had done nothing.
  21. Where do you have these numbers from? I thought this had been debunked several times by the scientific community. You guys should really, really stick to reliable, scientific resources to ensure quality of thought. And not some random people on YouTube. I am surprised this place has suddenly become a safe haven for disinformation, speculation and conspiracy theories. @Leo Gura You should really take a look into this section of the forum. So instead of actually dealing with the fear you went into denial. Good to know. It is not without reason that they are putting entire countries under lockdown. This a massive hit to the economy and our countries are not benefitting from this at all. And yet, some people do not think it is serious. Because it's all just one big conspiracy and they know something other people don't. Incessant freedom-seekers always get so spooked by control. It's really quite comical.
  22. Coronavirus is not what will tear society apart, but inner division. In times like these, choose love and peace above all other options.
  23. I spent so much of my teens taking in garbage resources. So I would probably recommend myself reading these 3 books: "Mind is a myth" by U.G. Krishnamurti "The Tao of Fully Feeling" by Pete Walker "Power vs. Force" by David R. Hawkins These books were not just good, but absolutely life-changing for me in each their own way. "Mind is a myth" helped me get rid of dogma and get in touch with my inner guru. "The Tao of Fully Feeling" opened me up to unconditional love. "Power vs. Force" helped me see the power of truthful alignment.
  24. Hey, Nahm! You're cool! ???
