  1. Just a late night thought that felt significant. I can love sadness. I can love grief. I can love anger. They all hold such tremendous beauty. I have lived such a huge chunk of my life cut off from my emotions, that I savour any emotion that arises. Each one is a precious breath of vitality. But I am yet to have asked myself the question: Can I love fear? Can I feel its ickiness, and yet savour its beauty? I try visualising it, and I honestly think I could. I don't see why not. It seems worth an experiment at least.
  2. @Kidorikko It certainly is counter-intuitive. One might even call it a paradox. To live for the present moment, and yet strive for something bigger. There is no should, however. If you deeply desire living an ordinary life, then go for it. If you don't have any vision, that's fine. See where it takes you. There's a time and place for everything. Would you really do anything without an intention in mind? Desire is an inherent part of life, so unless you want to live in constant friction with what is, you better just accept it. Desire only leads to suffering if you can't handle the pain that comes with not fulfilling your desire. Love that pain to death.
  3. Spirituality = directionlessness? Well, don't get attached to that idea
  4. Probably two days ago, when I was watching some hidden camera sketches. That shit always gets me. A good cry.
  5. I've only seen the second season, and the reason why is kinda hilarious. lol A friend of mine suggested the series, at the same time telling me I probably wouldn't understand much in the beginning. So I went home and hit play, watching almost the entire season in a couple of days. I didn't understand jack shit, but I thought "hey, he told me I wouldn't understand much" and naturally just kept watching. Right when I'm about to watch the last episode in the season I discover that I have been watching SEASON 2 this entire time. So I was really pissed and didn't bother watching the rest of it. Anyways, great series (as far as I can tell )
  6. The only problem is that nobody are able to see themselves accurately. People type themselves according to what they want to be perceived as and not how they actually are. For example, if you're a very controlling person you will remember very clearly all the times you were spontaneous and creative, because exercising your demon functions induces a spike in brain activity. But what you won't remember is how you have spent 99% of your life trying to control everything. You can't really see your 1st and 4th functions, but you will be relatively aware of your 2nd and 3rd function because there is this constant (conscious) battle between them. So if you think you're Ti 1st and Fe 4th you're more likely Ti 2nd and Fe 3rd, or Fe 2nd and Ti 3rd. The 1st function is too ever-present to be noticed, and the 4th function you're probably not even aware exists. Nobody types themselves correctly, and thus I'd say it's generally a waste of time. You also have the fact that about 50% of the population are jumpers. That is, the 3rd function is a savior function (instead of the 2nd). This fact alone makes it so that 50% of the population can't possibly type themselves correctly with MBTI, making the whole model flawed. It's honed to make people feel unique and special, hence its popularity. It is entirely anecdotal and subjective, and thus inherently self-deceptive. If you really want to figure out your blind-spots, go ask your friends and family. Chances are, it will be rather underwhelming and not the kind of feel-good stereotypes you'd expect from the MBTI community. Knowing your actual personality type would probably have the same effect. "Oh, how unexciting..."
  7. When most people try to think positively, it isn't really rooted in positivity, but neuroticism. And that's exactly why it doesn't work. Inner peace and harmony is inherently an absence of inner conflict, and by fighting with yourself by trying to enforce positive thinking you are simply fueling that inner tension. Which in turn makes the problem worse, because you aren't addressing the root issue. So no, positive thinking doesn't "work". Positive thinking is the byproduct of deep acceptance and inner harmony, and shouldn't be goal in and of itself. Fighting with yourself in any shape or form is just a distraction. Let yourself flourish, and don't try to mold yourself according to some fixed delusion of what you think you should be like.
  8. I can definitely recommend Cold Turkey website blocker. The pro version is pretty cheap too (one-time payment unlike many other services), especially if you use the student discount.
  9. A life purpose is super important when it comes to attraction. But if that's the only thing you need? I'm not so sure. The thing about an LP is that it gives you this kind of unswayable frame when it comes to other people, which makes socialisation so much easier. You still gotta socialise in order to actually meet people and get to know them though, but if you have an LP you're kinda detached from the outcome, which makes taking initiative with other people unproblematic.
  10. So if I have understood your post correctly, you're wondering if you should go live in some cave in India? Well, as long as you feel you're not running away from anything and sincerely want it I'd say why not.
  11. @Pernani One thing a lot of people seem to miss, is that the unconscious can be made conscious. And with that in mind, I don't see what's so limiting about it.
  12. @Carson Ford Same, brother. In the past week or so I have been feeling that my existence is very empty. But from past experiences, I can say that usually something greater arises out of it. Like a phoenix raising from the ashes. A deep realization. Hang on in there. Trust that what you're currently experiencing right now is exactly what you're meant to experience. There are lots of lessons to be learned, and richness to be felt. Because what you're currently experiencing is just as much a part of the richness of life as anything else. Surrender to it
  13. I'm considering purchasing the LP course, but I'm wondering if I maybe should wait for your next course instead in case it's more "up-to-date" and relevant to my life. So I wondered if you could you give a small hint of what the next course would be about? "How to get enlightened" or something? We're cheering on you!
  14. Personally I love "The Natural" by RSD Max (thus far). It's the first pick-up course I have done and it seems very non-toxic and aligned with my values. I feel like I'm actually growing as a person. I mean, just having some basic principles of what to do and what to expect helps a long way in dealing with girls. Previously I would often fall into a spiral of self-doubt, even though I was not technically doing anything wrong. The problem was really just lacking knowledge. Now I feel rather confident that I'm not missing any crucial information, and can just get to work.
  15. Yes, I'm sure if he made the videos shorter he would be able to share more of the stuff that he wants to share. And his audience would be happier, because he's getting down to the most important stuff. I actually prefer reading his forum posts, as they're much more concise. I feel like I get an "aha"-moment nearly every time I read his posts. But when I'm watching his videos it happens maybe twice or thrice each vid. Because there's so much redundant information and I already got his point long time ago. But at the same time, it forces me to step back and digest more deeply, which definitely has its benefits too. I do, however, want his videos to be as advanced as absolutely possible. His depth and vast worldview is his greatest asset, and I don't want to put any restrictions on him sharing that with us. If you need more basic self-help go watch Tony Robbins or something. To sum it all up, I would like to see more originality and creativity in his videos, but I don't want them to be less advanced.
  16. Maybe it could offer you something if you are REALLY selective about which profiles you choose to follow. For example if you're an artist and would like to see the work of other inspiring artist.
  17. A place where everybody preach and nobody listen? Sounds like this forum. lol
  18. The Internal Family Systems Model. Understanding how these parts of you first became disowned, and then directly addressing them through for example journaling.

  20. Enlightenment is the process of stripping away falsehoods that are preventing you from seeing reality clearly. What those falsehoods are, is highly individual, but there are some common themes ...
  21. Going for long walks, preferably in nature. Aim for at least 45 min per walk. This one is my favorite Journaling Conscious breathing. Stretching. Focus on relaxing tensions in the body Do-nothing meditation Enjoy a tasty meal in quiet. Relax on the couch Draw, play an instrument, write poetry. Create something special for someone you love Those were just a few examples. A common theme in all the things I mentioned is solitude (that is, time spent without input from other minds). Try different things, and pick the ones you like
