The Ego can only be as good as the low-consciousness awareness that allowed the ideas and habits to accumulate the way they did that the Mind clings to: The scripts and patterns that you've been programmed to run or expect. Awareness is what dissolves the Ego over time if one is properly walking the path of Enlightenment. The Guru guides the tenderfoot through the forest. Watch this video:

Yep. If you wanna nip this issue in the bud, do Leo's Life Purpose Course. I'm doing it myself right now, and this is what that course deals with. You gotta go through the Life Purpose process, which is a lengthy and deep process. The Mind doesn't think Life Purpose is needed. I've requested that Leo do a video on that issue. The Mind will tell you that Life Purpose work is frivolous work. That's a trap. Life Purpose work is as important as Enlightenment work.

I see it. All of the dualities are partial and illusory. He's messing with space and time too. Neither are to any kind of scale. Notice the small houses and the size of tree in the foreground. He's fucking with space there! Space is behaving in a non-linear way. ////////////////////////////////////////////////// Here's a pic I like: -
Yes. Just start to get into the flow of your job. Become one with what you are doing. What is causing you a lot of suffering is the Ego wants to think of itself as separate from what is happening in reality. When it does that, it wants to judge harshly. Just realize that the best way to attack this effect is to get yourself into flow states where reality has coalesced in on itself.

It would be cool if the questions that you answer highlight or in some other way indicate that you have answered them. That way when you look at the screen at a glance you can see which questions you have and have not answered. I find that I am growing a lot by "answering" questions on the Forum now, and I want to make that process as efficient as possible.

Curious. Let’s discuss. ”To the real mystic, silence means for one to be alone with the consciousness of self, with self as the only companion. After all, a person may be physically alone, and yet he may be so preoccupied with problems of the day, with thoughts of things in the world, that insofar as self is concerned it has been precipitated into the midst of a teeming world of ideas, and self is thus far from being alone, even though the body is. The real mystic can enter the silence — that is, mystical solitude — the aloneness with self anywhere, even while standing in the midst of a busy thoroughfare, because he has shut out all else but self.” ”Maeterlinck, comparatively modern mystic, said with respect to the impact of this silence, ‘No sooner are the lips still than the soul awakens and pursues her labors.’ He meant by this that no sooner do we attune ourselves with self, separate our consciousness from the objective world, than we become fully aware of the activity of the soul. Men are always inclined towards silence when they are in the presence of that which is greater than what they can express in words. Thus they are inclined towards devotion and humbleness in the presence of the great, and as we introvert the consciousness to self, we experience the Great Silence.” ”To summarize, the occult principle of silence is to permit the soul to hear without ears. It is also to permit the soul to speak or commune with man by other means than that of the mouth. It consists of a complete submission of the will to the Cosmic Mind, to hear that which the human ear cannot hear, and to speak through the soul rather than through the mortal self.” Source of the Above Quotations: Author: Ralph M. Lewis, Book: “The Sanctuary of Self’, Pg. 145-146, Published by: Supreme Grand Lodge of AMORC, Thirteenth Edition, 1978.

This is my life calling! I just realized that. My life calling is freeing people from limiting-beliefs. -

What is your daily meditation habit like? You sound full of neurotic energy. We gotta deal with that issue first. Can you commit to a 1 hour meditation session every morning? Do nothing meditation -- just be the Watcher. Remember -- life is counter-intuitive. You need to just stop and relax and listen to your intuition in meditation for a while. Stop running around like a chicken with its head cut off. That might seem like it is helping you, but it's not. You're just stressing yourself out more. Meditate as much as possible right now. Do it in bed if you have a hard time doing it sitting up. Just do it. You need to listen to the still, quiet voice inside of you that you can't hear very well yet. Slow down, relax, and open up. Let the authentic self work on you for a while.

I have always been an introvert, although some periods of my life more-so than others. The problem with me is that I get a lot of peace just being by myself. I don't feel like I want to entertain someone else. That's what it feels like to me to be around other people. I feel like I have to entertain them, like I have to put whatever I was thinking about on-ice until the interaction parts-ways. See -- I am always working on something, always thinking. Even when I am not thinking, I'm just enjoying the silence. I tend to feel vibes of manipulation when I'm around other people, and I just would rather not deal with that on a regular basis. I have no problem doing it, it's just not my preferred default-position. My preferred default-position is where I get to be me and only have to be me. So, for me, I am an introvert because most people just slow me down. I have too many important things to do with my time -- and I don't want to compromise too much of it.

Meditation is just the beginning of your journey to explore the Ego. For now, just watch the monkey-mind. Observe it like a scientist. What is the monkey-mind doing when you meditate? Are you keeping your awareness on that? -

Get your diet down to a science. Make sure you are meeting all your dietary needs. Get some supplements that help you. Know how much of the different macros you are getting when you eat and how much more you need at all times. This will keep you fueling your body with maximum awareness. Since I have been doing this, I don't get tired anymore. Now I let my body tell me what it needs, and it does. Listen to your hunger -- it communicates very clear information to you. I also have certain things that I eat like beans, and I use a lot of indian spices that are healthy and flavorful. I also try not to eat meat or breads. I stay away from white rice too -- and all pre-packaged foods. I only eat real food. Whatever I can eat that is real, I'll eat it. But, again, I am trying to stay away from meat and carbs and things that have a lot of empty calories like fried foods. Watch out for peanut butter too because it has palm oil in it, which you need to Google to find out what that is. Try to stay away from sugar, it's as addictive as Cocaine and it throws your whole system out of whack. If you're getting too much sugar, that could be why you're tired. A little sugar from time to time keeps the brain happy though. I can sense when my brain wants a couple sugar packets -- like when I've been thinking for a long time. But know when to stop with the sugar too -- you gotta give the proper dose at the proper time when the Body asks for it. If you saw how I eat you'd be shocked. I eat like a scientist charged with the task of keeping a machine properly fueled. I am so sensitive that I can perceive the smiles and frowns that the Body gives me after a fueling session. If you are feeling like shit, it's because the Body is sick from shitty food and shitty information being fed to it too much. You gotta purify yourself sometimes. Eat a bunch of carrots and drink a few cups of green tea back to back -- that's a nice cleanse. Raw "adult-sized" carrots (eat them whole not the peeled ones or the baby ones) are great to have around to snack on, and the Body loves them too because of the fiber and vitamin content they have. They do have a bit of sugar in them, so if you eat carrots a lot you gotta watch your other sugar intake. Peanut butter and margarine contain palm oil. http://www.saynotopalmoil.com/Whats_the_issue.php https://www.theguardian.com/environment/green-living-blog/2010/jun/14/palm-oil-margarine -

No. Are you watching the movie that the monkey-mind is giving you? That's what you need to be doing. Just be the Watcher, the observer of the monkey-mind. -
Do Leo's Life Purpose Course if you haven't done it. What you think is your life purpose is probably not very well thought out. You need to dig deep and chart your authentic-self very accurately. I thought I had a life purpose too, but it was way off. I'm doing the course myself now.

Everybody here is just as scared as you are. Just put yourself out there. That’s how you’ll grow fastest. If you hold it in, you can’t grow. So, just develop an I don’t give a fuck kind of an attitude. Everyone here is embarrassed to some extent, but we’re all doing it, so the shame is minimized. Openness will make you grow so much so fast. You’ll catch some shit too — but just ignore those posts. Your mission is to grow. To grow, you gotta break yourself open so people can have a look inside. Then you’ll get some great feedback and you’ll develop more and more awareness. If you hold it in, you are here but not here, if that makes sense. You wanna get the most outta your participation on here. We’re all in the same Personal Development boat.

Enlightenment is a tricky beast of a thing to try to teach someone, because it’s easy to give the Mind more limiting-beliefs to avoid doing this work. I am trying my best to explain Enlightenment in a way that resonates with me that is least harmful to those trying to unhook themselves from culture. Even Enlightenment theory is a part of culture. What you want to do is free yourself from the shackles of culture, while still being in it. Then the authentic-self has a chance to get to know itself and to get out from under the mama-bear of the Mind. No quick answers in the form of beliefs are gonna help you. You gotta find the authentic-self and then convince the Mind that culture is causing you suffering. Then the Mind will release the Ego on its own through raising awareness. So, only raising awareness correlates with Enlightenment, and it takes about 6 months of consistent work to start to see real results. You are changing habits by building awareness. Some things can’t be unseen. That’s what you are shooting for. Those the Mind can’t sweep up under the rug or conveniently forget about. You know how a wet dog swivels its body back and forth to try to dry itself off? That’s kind of what Enlightenment is. You gotta shake all that culture, all that conditioning off. And no-one can do your swivel for you, you gotta do it yourself. They can tell you about their swivels, but that doesn’t really do much to help you with yours. It might mislead you to what your swivel will actually be like — because now the Mind has a bunch of notions in the air telling it what to expect from the swivel. That’s why Enlightenment teachers are very careful about what they say and how they say it. -
Leo — can you help her, I feel bad.

Joseph Maynor replied to John Iverson's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
See, that sounds too speculative to me. Why can’t we admit we don’t know what happens fully? The Mind is addicted to knowing, and that’s why we neurotically cling to all these silly beliefs. All we can do is be. Whatever the Mind thinks is true is most probably false. Thinking everything is cyclical is just a belief. Don’t cling too hard to that. That’s a trap. Reincarnation is a piece of culture, an article of clothing, laid-up on top of awareness. It’s like putting tennis shoes on and then thinking the shoes are part of the feet. No — tennis shoes are a part of culture. Beliefs like reincarnation are like that too. Ideas are in the air, they have a history. -
Joseph Maynor replied to John Iverson's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I don’t believe in reincarnation as of now. Not in the sense that it is commonly believed. When I had my Ego-death experience, I was taken out of here and then came back, but that wasn’t really a reincarnation. When I was in hyperspace I was just Being. Whatever carnation there was dissipating like a breaking television set flickering in and out, although it didn’t happen fully. It happened like 90% — enough for me to see the being behind the purported carnation. But to believe in some cyclical kind of reincarnation is probably just the Mind trying to impress itself or to calm itself down. We don’t know! All we know is what we have experienced. You gotta watch out for the insecure Mind which has a powerful need to know. You gotta release that. Awareness in the Now is all you have. What doesn’t change is being. All the content is in flux. That’s what that experience taught me. Believing in reincarnation is clinging too hard to the experience. Being/awareness never ceases! Reincarnation sounds like a trap to me. Nothing ever dies! It’s only when you cling to experience that the Mind conceives of death. Death is being too beholden to the content of awareness rather than awareness itself. Awareness itself never dies, although the content is always changing. The Mind pretends that the content is what is real. No, awareness/Being is what is real. That’s a sneaky trap that the Mind plays on us. But it seems so real! Yeah? — that’s where psychedelics can really help you see this trap fully. -
My bad. I shouldn’t laugh because you did get a painful result. Did Leo get back to you AK?

Joseph Maynor replied to Martin123's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Sometimes it’s hard for me to write because I have to express things in a roundabout manner because all beliefs are false. The Mind wants a direct answer, so this is not easy to do. I have to just let the subconscious mind write and then clean that up with the conscious mind. If it resonates with me, I publish it. Everything I say must be taken as an insight not a truth. It’s just writing versus non-writing. When we mess with words, we’re just playing with our toys in the sand. The test of genuine resonance with me is my test for writing. If I like what I write, then I’m ok publishing it. But I am sensitive to overstating things that will mislead people. The Mind likes to cling hard to beliefs, which causes a lot of problems, including the Ego. -
