  1. I haven't read Rick Strassman's "The Spirit Molecule" yet, but I recall hearing that participants in the study with no knowledge of what to expect reported similar visions etc. Perhaps somebody who has read it can chime in. If this is indeed the case, that is some evidence against your claim here of there being nothing substantive to these visions. Not decisive evidence, but evidence nonetheless. And if you refute the validity of this line of thought by saying that maybe their shared culture is the reason they had similar experiences, I can't really buy that, because there are countless things they could be thinking of as part of the shared culture, why would this handful of things repeatedly come up in visions?
  2. This is different than what you said the first time. I don't think you should be convinced of something being true until you experience it. But you should also not claim it is "total bullshit" either, unless you somehow have unrestricted access to the minds of all the alleged enlightened people that have ever lived.
  3. The problem here is that this is a completely groundless belief based off of nothing but your own hunch. You have no way of knowing if somebody like the Buddha, or Jesus, or whoever was enlightened. A more rational view would be to not take either side of the argument. But to state matter-of-factly that there is no such thing as permanent enlightenment is a logical fallacy.
  4. I'm curious about how you seem to have access to the inside of somebody else's head, to be able to judge how "serious" somebody is about life.
  5. The problem is that taking 5-meo is not a simple or pleasant task, if you are doing it right. It's not suitable at all for a party environment. On the other hand, I could imagine having 5-meo clinics across the world, staffed with knowledgeable people that administer it after vetting you and making sure you are a good candidate for it. In fact there are already a handful of these in existence.
  6. Interesting idea, but I think at the very least you should have somebody keeping an eye on you to make sure you don't pass out and drown. That's happened to people on the Wim Hof method that were pushing themselves hard around water.
  7. You're acting as if Musk himself is the cause of the planet's degradation. He found himself in this situation and is trying to get us out of it, which is more than 99.999% of humans can say, who are doing literally nothing to solve the worlds problems. Why are we singling out one of the rare people who is willing to sacrifice his own happiness for a greater cause? And actually, we do need more "successful workaholics" that use their wealth for philanthropy, even if there are better philanthropic causes to support than going to Mars.
  8. I'm not exactly sure where the kickstarter is being plugged, but it's been slow progress so far. If they could get a plug from a big channel like Psyched Substance or Leo it would go a long way.
  9. The only solution I know of is to bust your butt really hard and get the work done that needs to be done. I've found time starts going by faster and fast as I get older, and I don't anticipate this changing anytime soon.
  10. Thanks for sharing your experience. Absolutely agree on the part about making sure you are ready for these substances. Everybody has a tendency to think that they are the exception to the rule about needing preparation, but once the trip starts getting wild, they will be humbled. I think a reasonably long, consistent track record of meditation is an absolute prerequisite of even dabbling in these substances. And only take them when the set and setting are perfect.
  11. You are making huge assumptions about me based on a simple recommendation to watch Leo's videos on psychedelics. I do not agree with everything Leo says in his videos, nor would I want to. However you raised the same old "run of the mill" objections that most people (including myself) typically raise when learning about using psychedelics, which Leo methodically addresses in his videos. This is why I suggested you watch them.
  12. There are countries where you can do both of these substances legally. This, along with the rest of your objections have been addressed numerous times in Leo's videos on psychedelics, I suggest you watch them.
  13. The post brings up an interesting question, that is, how do you even know when you've hit rock bottom? Is it the "turning inside out" that finally confirms that you've traveled the full cycle?
  14. @Little Plant Can you describe your spiritual practices prior to coming to this point?
  15. While reading that blog post, I thought of the Ouroboros.
  16. Do I sense a future video topic? Please...
  17. 80mg? Isn't that an insanely high dose?
  18. Awesome and detailed report, wow!
  19. You were standing during the trip? What dosage did you take?
  20. I wonder how likely it is that this could reach a dangerous point. I guess if one were really concerned about it, some sort of technology could be used to monitor the rate of breathing and sound an alert if it falls below a certain threshold. Or a trip sitter, if they could stay out of the way and just monitor the breath somehow.
  21. @Azrael How much of a role do you think N,N-DMT played a role in your awakening, versus the other psychedelics like 5-meo/mushrooms/LSD? I see that you did quite a few N,N-DMT trips.
  22. Has anybody ever experienced or heard about breathing troubles on heavy trips of 5-meo-dmt, in particular forgetting to breathe? Sounds kind of ridiculous but seems remotely plausible.
  23. What part are you saying happens to be the placebo? Are you saying that these things will not affect your brain at all, or are you saying that the effect is not helpful? Because I was under the impression that the effect of binaural beats in changing your brain waves is fairly well documented.
