  1. I absolutely love to just be aware when I do mundane things. You will get so much juice and enjoyment out of these things if you are more aware of them. Your mind is scattered because you are multitasking. To enhance the quality of your contemplation, make sure that you are doing nothing else and that you contemplate deep topics that interest you. The nature of contemplation is that it goes deeper the longer you contemplate a single topic. If you do it right, it can benefit you.
  2. @Shiva articulated it perfectly. Do nothing but listen and pay attention to the video - and take notes if you like.
  3. @MM1988 You might want to try the Do Nothing technique. In this method, you let your mind do it's own thing and you just observe it. I got many-many insights from this technique. Don't let your thoughts grab your attention, but if they succeed, no matter for how long, it's OK. Step back and be mindful of your thoughts / observe your breath. You will be angry when you are not doing the technique, but with experience, you will learn that all of this is a waste of energy. And that's OK too. The important thing is that you have a good understanding of the technique you are using.
  4. @Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj You asked for it You need to watch The Theme Of Things Going Full-Circle for this one.
  5. Stop controlling your actions Done Anything else will manipulate your authentic self.
  6. Why did you quit CS? Your ideal answers should be like this: - I suffer through every round of every game - It feels hallow - I am not getting joy out of it - I notice myself - after doing consciousness work - that there is a subtle dissatisfaction when I play this game. If not - and I think that it isn't - open Steam and start playing again. Awareness alone is curative. Get over CS before starting something new. You will go back if you don't do this.
  7. Self acceptance wasn't easy for me. What I can say is just to be aware of your judgements of yourself and to keep going. You will ultimately realize that judging yourself is a waste of energy. Self acceptance is more like indifference. Had an awesome meditation session? Awesome, but the indifferent. Sat in front of your computer for 8 hours playing Counter Strike? No problem, the past you can not change, but you haven't realized this deeply enough. Otherwise you wouldn't have this problem.
  8. He definitely doesn't want to fuck his dream girlfriend in a hut and have casual threesomes, foursomes and fivesomes
  9. Before doing enlightenment work, take the time to fathom the consequences of it. Enlightenment is no joke. It's not a quick fix. It's going to kill YOU. Watch Leo's videos about enlightenment first. Make sure that your motivation is authentic before going for enlightenment.
  10. What would you do if you knew that you will die 6 months from now? What would you do if you had 100 million dollars in your bank account? (You can combine the previous two actually) What am you authentically love doing? Why do you love these things? (get to the bottom of it)
  11. I had a shitty day yesterday, I was stimulating myself with technology all day yesterday, my brain got fed up so I decided to meditate in bed. I went to bed, the room was dark, a little bit of light shone into the room, closed my eyes and started to observe my thoughts. (I purposefully meditated my way into sleep many times, so this wasn't new to me). After a few minutes, my ears started to ring. I wanted to experiment, so I tried what @aurum did - to ask the angels (if they exist) to make the sound louder. It became louder. While that was happening, thoughtlessness became so much easier, I lost a sense of space - I felt like spinning and sinking - and I felt paralyzed. For whatever reason, I thought I was being healed - surprisingly, after meditation, I felt much better and my headache was gone. After a few minutes - my ears still ringing -, I was seeing a demon in my mind's eye, to escape, I opened my eyes. My vision was fucked up. Shadows appeared lighter, I saw "the fireworks" without any pattern on the left and right side of my vision field. When I tried to focus on one thing, it disappeared. When I let my vision just form, I saw "deformations". 2 or 3 times, I thought I was seeing entities forming. I had an intuitive sense that if I let my vision blur, I will get into trouble, so I slowly "became sober" and when my body moved, I literally whispered: "Oh, Lord! I survived". Wtf people? Can someone explain any of this?
  12. Pretty much like in this video, but the face wasn't all white, it had a little bit of red in it. The look of him hasn't the most important thing about him though. The presence and the fear he caused were the most important.
  13. @Shroomdoctor I was conscious though throughout, it might have been sleep paralysis, but idk.
  14. Please, just answer this question for me: "Why do you want a silent mind?". Why did you post like 4 fucking times to get an answer to this question?
  15. Authenticity is proportional to the degree you let go of control over yourself. Ta-da!
  16. I have recently discovered what I think of as infinite intelligence. I was doing Leo's death contemplation visualization when my mind wandered off from Leo's speech and all of a sudden solutions for my problems popped into my mind. I hypothesized it was because I was relaxed. Tried to reproduce the experience and it worked. The answers I got from these "sessions" came instantaneously and actually make alot of sense. Here's how I do it: 1) Relax, don't engage in thought stories, just be 2) Wait for the first instantaneous image to come 3) Ask your question 4) Profit.
  17. Completely normal. 1) You gotta let these song lyrics be, without emotionally reacting or judging them. If you can't do this, expand you awareness and witness the judgement and the emotional reaction too. 2) Garbage in, garbage out. Watch your information intake. 3) You may not understand this now, but when your mind does this, it clears itself. Let them be. They will eventually dissappear.
  18. I think a heck alot of newbies underestimate consciousness, it took me 6 months to realize why consciousness is "important". Please make a video to cut newbies' learning curves as much as possible.
  19. You just don't. Let it move through you as much as the situation allows. Otherwise, you will suppress lustful thoughts and they will come back to bite you in the ass later. And if you have even a subtle addiction to porn and/or fapping, remember that awareness alone is curative. These things will become less and less satisfying if you become aware of them.
  20. I feel so bad for making this. @Leo Gura, please forgive my sins .
  21. It would be like a forum game if we chose a question and used the Socratic method for contemplation
  22. Where to begin? Since 2 weeks ago, I have felt like I have no meditation to meditate (I have meditated almost every day for 6 months now) and to contemplate (this became my habit 3 months ago). I barely meditate now. I realized even though I have experienced the positive effects of mindfulness, higher consciousness and personal development (and this is the best path I have even explored), I still believe in it - subconsciously - and take the path of consciousness and self-actualization and take it for granted. One night I contemplated this. I felt groundless. How do I continue a path that I just believe in and take for granted... Sure, it may be the hardest and "best" path of all, but I don't get this fully. I have a little fear of posting this because I think alot of people haven't faced this and I don't want to get biased answers. I decided to investigate this by contemplating these questions: What are the paths of humans? How to choose a path? I will continue my contemplation until I find answers. What do you think about this? Any tips for sorting the "issue" out?
  23. @Leo Gura Why is this a metaphorical plateau?
