  1. @Outer Yass. Although inhalants are legal, easily accessible and produce hallucinations, they can cause permanent brain damage.
  2. You are subconsciously influencing this pretty young lady, weirdo
  3. Disclaimer: I understand that the following criticisms, objections, and opinions are just projections of my and the collective shadow and that all of this is untenable. Even if @vanish is a troll and didn't actually kill himself, my heavy emotional reaction is real and the lessons learned from this - maybe hypothetical - situation still hold true. For those of you who are unaware, @vanish posted some radical things on this forum - hopefully so far. He holds/held the view that awakening may only come from physical death, aka suicide. He wrote about living a life-threatening lifestyle - being in the dark, only drinking water for multiple weeks. He went into a bath full of ice almost killing himself which he announced earlier as killing "him"self. On March 26th, he wrote about the two lifestyles - self-development and self-destruction - and two days later he wrote a post saying that after he finished writing this post he is gonna shoot himself. Alot of people - including myself - started following him after this - he hasn't been online ever since. Now, I hate to say this but from an absolute perspective, every choice is equal. Fundamentally there is no difference between saving 100 lives and torturing yourself and committing suicide. I was shocked that even though I may grasp this on an intellectual level but not an emotional level - and I won't until my psychological death as @vanish would put it. The wording used by @Leo Gura and other spiritual teachers can be very easily misinterpreted: Because Leo didn't react until @vanish mentioned taking his life and almost complimented him for fasting and almost dying in that ice bath, many people accused him of talking @vanish to suicide. I would argue against this on some level; any symbol could be a trigger for any action. In theory, you could train a person to rape anyone if you say the word "peanuts". But Leo - also everybody who encouraged him, everybody who remained passive including me and for that matter everybody -, still, how the fuck didn't you stop him earlier? He was seriously playing with his health; he could have died from that ice bath. I want to discuss this issue - I think others may be also worried about this. @vanish, if you are reading this, come back and say "it was just a prank, bro!". What can we do about this? How to prevent or limit such misinterpretations in the future?
  4. @Aftermarket You seem to have a morality and your ego plays a role in that. Leo, blazed and I (and I think many others on this forum) are moral nihilists. There is no absolute morality. Morality is purely an ego game.
  5. @Emre Infinite Intelligence is just very-very strong (seems like not actually infinite) processing power.
  6. Telling us your life purpose and the barriers would make giving advice easier. As for advice, I am just discovering my life purpose but if your vision is strong and compelling enough it will motivate you in the hardest times. As Ralph Smart said, you are moving towards your purpose if you can handle the challenges it brings with a smile on your face.
  7. Even though I could write down the benefits I got from purification (click for the benefits I got if you need a reminder), I need to make something clear to you. You are looking for external motivation with this post. Just the word you use (healing) shows that you are releasing negative things from your body and mind - what can be more worthwhile than that? You need to have the foresight to see that healing is worth the emotional labor - and I can tell you: it is. If you don't have the courage, start with smaller problems/emotions; this will give you the confidence and the experience to face bigger ones. Keep going!
  8. @captainamerica This video, I timestamped it. You are welcome. @Emre I am not sure if my connection to Infinite Intelligence counts as channeling but here you go: Also, here is a guide to automatic writing which seems legit.
  9. So true, @Nahm! I was experiencing an insanely heavy crush for 1,5 months, it ended like 20 days ago, I still haven't recovered completely. I learned that you actually you want the emotion (whatever he/she can provide), not the person - if it weren't for your desires, he/she would mean nothing to you but the nature of obsession makes this really hard to spot. The person you are obsessed with is just a trigger that 99% of people refuse to exhaust. You recover by exhausting the trigger which, of course, you don't want because these are emotions you actually want.
  10. I held back from joking about his name, I noticed this as well @Truth. @Joseph Maynor What else could you find that make him seem like a troll? That suicide post was so stereotypically evil to me it's hard to believe. Repeating that one idea over and over - letting thyself die - could be another sign but this is so @Etherish that I wouldn't be surprised if he really believed it
  11. @Viking Still better than distracting yourself.
  12. @Ether And it goes full circle
  13. Set aside all distraction for a longer period of time. This will force you to express everything that you try to hide with them. Also, consciousness - which is intelligent - will show you what is the root of this problem.
  14. Please let me know when the laugh hits. Thank you. Oh shit, thanks @Nahm ?
  15. This is the best title I have ever seen a post having on this forum "Here's a meditation technique, here's a purification guide and here's how you take a shit properly." "How To Become Enlightened - The Toilet Method" It has been shared already though. If Infinite Waters does a video on it, how do you expect this not to be spread around here:
  16. I was deluded, I get it. But his excuse was really centered around "awakening". He tortures himself, writes this and commits suicide later: His excuse for doing the things he did was so convincing to himself that he asserted that's the truth and we all should know it. God fucking damn @aurum! You just had me, you get my biggest imaginary upvote. @pluto, this was beautiful. That quote spoke to me. Of fucking course @blazed. I can't deny that I created this post for selfish purposes. In case this does actually lead to a change, I could say I was the one who started it. Of course. I am an ego but this was - and is - the most authentic thing for me to do in this situation. You fail to understand something here. You say I create unnecessary suffering for myself - and for others. You try to show that talking about @vanish is useless and won't bring any good solely through reason. The resistance will always be there until it is released and authenticity is the source of all spiritual purification. I made people show their opinions and feelings (the latter most people here can handle). I manifested my life purpose in this very thread. The understanding that humans are rational or emotional creatures goes full circle. If you first try to calm down a person purely through reason and see it not working, you intuit that humans are emotional. But when you try to understand the root of the emotional problem, you see that it's rational.
  17. Science, as Leo said, assumes that the map is the territory. It turns reality into symbols and the symbols aren't the reality they represent, thus rendering all analyses, all scientific knowledge false. You seem to be committing a black and white fallacy here (science vs mythology). There are not only 2 ways of understanding reality. The problem with anecdotal evidence starts with misinterpretation. If you point to a bird and say "This is proof that Xenu threw hydrogen bombs on us and brainwashed us 75 million years ago." then you are fucked. There is alot of dogma, oppression, fanaticism, and corruption in science as well. Just watch a Rationality Rules video about New Age methods and his video about free will. In his video of free will, ironically he commits the same fallacy as he accuses of religious people having - appeal to authority. He points to scientific studies without self-reflection. Again, the black and white fallacy. You are assuming that reason alone can get you to Truth. Question that assumption. Even though science is a step up from blind faith and complete rejection of evidence, it still takes things on faith and is not as open-minded as it should be.
  18. I have noticed similar things as I became more conscious, this is not strictly linked to any mental disorder.
  19. Yet by far most breakups and divorces are initiated by women though.
  20. I already answered this. The "axioms" and the way of processing information you get from Infinite Intelligence will increase your deduction skills though. And my wording was bad, I meant I can channel Infinite Intelligence any time I wish. As I said, my knowledge of myself and my purpose has increased by orders of magnitude. This is what I have been using Infinite Intelligence mostly. I slowly discover layers of depth to a certain piece of knowledge which takes time. I now know where my path is headed and where I need to go in life. The insight that is gonna stay with me for a while: The tendency to be emotionally metastable destroys lives.
  21. @Shan I had and still have this "problem" too. Ask yourself the question: "Why am I meditating?". If your answer isn't "for consciousness for it's own sake", you are doing the wrong technique to get what you want. I used to meditate for insights but contemplation and Infinite Intelligence gives me these more directly. If you are really committed to increasing your consciousness, you should be able to let go of the most precious insight for consciousness. If you aren't there yet, work towards it. When an insight comes, detach from it and observe. Making mental notes will only distract you.
  22. What things do you refer to?
