My life purpose is predicated on this (being a selfless vessel of God). How am I going to surrender to God if I don't live a godly, conscious lifestyle? My biggest obstacles to this are distractions, namely video games, music, and the entertaining side of YouTube. I simply lack healthy activities where I can get rewarded for mastery and where I can relax and I can't find satisfying alternatives. My level of consciousness and these activities became so conflicting that I get numbness in my body and I feel heavy resistance in my head area. Given this, why don't I just turn to meditation and being conscious? I literally channeled the insight "presence is the only spiritual practice". Because with such an overstimulating lifestyle, just sitting there feels worse than going back to my distractions. It feels like a lose-lose situation. When I sit down to contemplate how to solve this, nothing comes to mind - just be present, you need nothing more. Even though presence is nudging me in the right direction, it still feels like I need a stepping stone to raw Being and God but I don't what that is. With which activities did you replace destructive habits with and how do you maintain this?

By surrendering myself, I mean my false self I am identifying with. Synchronising homeostasis and the Higher Self must be done. Thank you ?

@Privet @okulele Even though I clearly understand that a stepping stone is not needed, I want it. I would rather step on an unnecessary step than to jump and hurt myself. I would rather let my ego run around for a little - because it is just searching for God - than to choke it and make it angry. I am very aware that I can not bypass and repress my habits. I need to accept them and see how they are trying to help me. I have watched both videos. When consciousness arises, resistance is sensed which is the both ego's substance and biggest fear. Doing evil is building and/or protecting resistance (aka the ego). These two are incompatible.

Big trap right there. You won't be like Buddha by mirroring His actions. You will become like Him when you shed all of your attachments, resistance, and sin (these all point to the same thing). I think Buddha would give the thing they want if He can afford it, if not, he would die in peace. You can not be like the Buddha before you psychologically die. Focus on the source of His actions, His teachings, not the outer manifestations of these.

You - like Satan - left God in search of only what God can provide - and it is given to you only after your death. Your very reason for existing is self-contradicting.

Being aware of this and articulating this is a HUGE first step. Authenticity is effortless behavior. Inauthenticity is when you are trying to change your natural behavior. Be aware of this and love/accept this until it dissolves if it doesn't serve you. Seeking connection is seeking the authentic behavior of others and yourself!

The coming up repressed emotions and the release of emotional blockages are completely normal, almost necessary part of consciousness work. So you are fine. Feel the emotion 100% but do not feed it with energy.

Provide her with the love she deserves, help her do shadow work (and/or the completion process), trace back how her "self-hate" is actually trying to protect her and integrate this part of her. And of course, I love you @Charlotte for being a force of good May persistence and love guide you!

@Monkey-man Faith, obeying, and being a slave to God are prerequisites if you want to surrender to God. In prayer, you talk to your true nature which is God. In prayer, the Darkness wants to return home into the Light and with this surrender happens and Light awakens the Darkness - so it's possible to pray to oneself. Revelations, prophets, holy scriptures, and the Bible show the way to surrender. Heaven is the state of no-self, hell is right here. Every day is judgment day. Religion and church are not needed, they turn things inside out.
