  1. Sounds like you just need a little more practice. As far as the date, you guys probably wasn't a good match for each other, if you were, I believe that conversation would have been easier. One of the factors that women look at is confidence, so it probably wasn't a good idea to admit that you were lacking in that department. If you have a problem with being shy or effectively conversing with anyone, apply for a sales job or customer service job and believe it of not, that can help you with being confident in general! Good luck man! By the way, try not to ask a lady for a kiss that early because the likelihood of that happening with a respectable lady that values her reputation is slim.
  2. @Emerald I agree with giving subtle invites, they work! But I'll say this, a guy finds more substance in a situations that they have to work for. It can be very risky to pour on feeling too quickly with a man because a guy's emotions are typically stalled to a certain degree; in general, men are not as emotional as women so you have to slowly get a guy acclimated to those bold emotional expressions by subtly expressing interest and letting him work for the rest; in turn, it gives him time to develop more of an emotional connection and he'll be able to handle those expressions as opposed to running away. Not saying this applies to all situations but it does to many.
  3. Go far it man! This step is definitely necessary for progression! Just good out there and have fun and I definitely agree with @poimandres have no expectations!
  4. More than likely, this situation has nothing to do with you and what I mean by that is, it's in a man's nature to be task-oriented and competitive. This gets a lot of men in trouble with the ones they love because they deviate from what's important at times because of their instinctive tunnel vision. For example, men date women and fall in love, but sub-consciously, men see courtship as an objective. Not to say that it is merely an objective because it is not just that, everyone has an instinctive want to love and be loved. Men get in marriages and relationships and feel like the mission/objective is complete, so they get complacent; they then tend to gravitate to new objectives like a new hobby or something that requires and objective. I say all of that to say this, chances are that this has nothing to do with you, it's just that guys get tunnel visioned at times. I personally lost a great women years ago, that I was madly in love with because of a situation similar to this that escalated and honestly it was my fault and it seemed like everything else was more important than her and that was not the case. I would suggest communicating your concerns with him so that he is aware that it's concerning you.
  5. I'll eat pretty much the same type of meals for both. I like to eat salmon/chicken, mixed vegetables, fruit, and wheat bread!
  6. I don't always eat healthy, but I am very aware of the what kind of calories that I am consuming, so that I can make the appropriate adjustments to my daily workout plan!
  7. "The souls recognition of its counterpart in another". Love that movie.
  8. I have become accustomed to eating the same combinations at breakfast time because I now how my body reacts with those foods throughout the day! I typically like to rustle up a few egg whites, blueberries, spinach, and a side of oat meal. I try to keep each meal as healthy as I can but I tend to be the "stick to what you know" kind of guy when it comes to eating. Any other tasty suggestions?
  9. If you can with stand the heat! These little guys can send your metabolism into over drive by enticing the bodies pain sensors, temporarily increasing metabolic activity!
  10. @eskwire I heard San Diego is a nice place; I have a friend that stays there and constantly tells me to visit. I probably wouldn't know what to do in a big city like that and by that I mean that I'd be completely lost!
  11. @SFRL I use to eat chocolate all the time for breakfast! I thought I was the only one lol
  12. @Annie ADHD (Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder) can be understood in this aspect. Most of the time, there is nothing wrong with their cognition (thinking); they just have difficulties with attention and being still simply put. The "Hyperactivity" portion of the disorder just means that they tend to have a hard time being stagnate. Impaired attention can cause a cascade of unfavorable actions; they may have difficulty focusing on important task and tend to make mistakes do to their lack of attentiveness, in turn, causing some to become irritable or anxious as a result. Understanding the disorder is the key to learning and navigating around their behavior.
  13. @SFRL I would like to walk to the places that I need to go. Walking is healthy! I live in a very rural type area so I can't walk to many of the places that I have to go. I can walk but by the time I reach my destination, ill be drenched in sweat because everything is so spread out here.
  14. I'm sure that many of us can remember being in grade school or elementary, participating in physical education class! This was actually my favorite class and was probably a favorite to a lot others! I mean for most part, PE was pretty easy and did not require a whole lot a academic effort, which was definitely my kind of class. We were kids! kids are energetic and naturally gravitate to physical activities! Jumping jacks was definitely a go to warm out exercise before diving deep into hardcore play. I hardly doubt that there is anyone above the age of 7, that doesn't know how to do a jumping jack; what we didn't know was that we were being taught a very powerful exercise that can do wonders with aiding to the overall health of the body! Jumping jacks, such a simple exercise, can produce powerful benefits like improving cardiovascular health, strengthen bones, increase muscle endurance, and shave calories away! So get out there and be strong! Rekindle that elementary school relationship with your long time friend, the jumping jack!
  15. @Michael569 Wonderfully said, I agree!
  16. I've been an active weight room participant for over 15 years and just recently I've implemented a technique that appears to fatigue my muscles quicker and promote increased muscle growth. I've been accustomed to lifting weights regularly with a steady rhythm but now I have added a flex and hold at the end of each set. So after each rep, I incorporate a muscle flex and hold before initiating the next rep. Has anyone ever tried this technique and got above average results from this?
  17. @pluto Wow adding spices to herbal teas? That's definitely a new one. That sounds very interesting.
  18. Man that soup looks amazing! Might have to incorporate soup in my diet when I'm having those late night cravings! It's light and you can eat it during the night and it won't have much of an affect on your weight. Thanks!
  19. I was really low on Vitamin D a few years ago and I felt terrible! My doctor put me on the pills and I felt like a new man. Those definitely work!
  20. @TBurg82I agree with @TJ Reeves getting in better shape will not only boost your confidence, it promotes good cardiovascular health! Increased circulation is very important for sexual health; exercise will also boost testosterone levels an help boost your libido! Eat foods like avocados, strawberries, and almonds to also aid with arousal. Be careful with eating too much fast foods because a lot of them can slow down blood circulation to the body and that the last thing the little man downstairs need. I always try to focus on the lady initially, and make sure she is satisfied before I think about myself. Keep in mind that women are a lot different from us, and a lot of what constitutes to their pleasure has a lot to do with their emotional side, so don't forget that. Sincerely satisfy her emotional side and things will get a lot easier! Working on confidence is key. Good luck man!
  21. A lot of people go to the gym and spend too much time on the basics. Don't get me wrong, in the beginning stages of breaking into the world of weight lifting and cardio exercises, it is imperative to spend time on the basics prefecting your techinque. Once graduation of the novice stage has been acheived, I personally believe that training your muscles to be fast and explosive, adds a whole new dimension to muscle health. Set some time aside to train the fast twitch muscles how to be faster and more explosive. Lift lighter weights quickly without pausing between reps to improve quickness and use heavier weights and explode through the reps to impove explosion! For example, if your doing bench press, on the way up with the weight, try to throw the weight through the celing, without actaully throwing the weight through the celing of course! Take the same concept, and apply it to lower body as well. The world is a very unpredictable place. You never know when you may have to run from the local neighborhood pitbull or excape from an angry wife or girlfriend after you've failed put the toliet seat down, causing her to take an unexpected bath in toliet water! I'm sure all of the guys will agree that an angry wife or girlfriend, is actually be a lot more dangerous than that pit bull; I'm just saying, you have to be able to get away from dangerous situations like those! Give your muscles another dimension and add a whole new level to your fitness level!
  22. @Voyager I love egg yokes, but I try to limit my consumption of them because of the cholesterol and the saturated fat. If I were to eat one egg for a snack, then I would not remove the yolk; my diet is high in protein for all of my main meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So I typically eat around four to five eggs in the morning; leaving the yolk inside five eggs would definitely be too much cholesterol, seeing that the yoke contains about 180ish mg per yoke. It is suggested that you get no more than 300mg of cholesterol a day, so that's why I remove the yoke; I eat a lot of eggs.
  23. @eskwire Agreed sugar is indeed a drug!
  24. @eskwire that's actually a good video by @Siim Land he really dug in to the technical reasoning behind it! I've never thought of sugar to have that effect. So, @siim land, you're basically saying that sugar blocks the reuptake of dopamine? That makes perfect sense, the sugar molecules are able to enter gated channels mainly designed for the entry of neurotransmitters. Sugar blocks the reuptake of dopamine, leaving excessive amounts of the neurotransmitter between the pre-synaptic and post-synaptic terminals between nerve cells, causing them to continuously fire producing a temporary euphoric state. I studied Psychopharmacology in college we only discussed the affects of drugs on the nervous system! Wow, that makes perfect sense and I never thought about it that way! Good stuff!
  25. I had a similar problem in my early twenties, where I just could not shake the sweets. I started experimenting with different kinds of fruit as a substitute! After, incorporating those fruits in my diet, it made it easier to say no to those bad sugars. I would still have cravings, but over time those cravings for those sugars became less and less!
