  1. @Leo Gura Like I feel the two often at war against eachother. I have both sides raring to go!!! But one is gentle, and creative and mesmerising - and the other is a resourceful, brave and analytical. Which leaves me paralysed, as I am conflicted in which aspect to lose myself in. And yes, my imagination does bring me hell, but an equal measure of ecstasy . If I were to lose it, I don't think I would achieve much, or have much fun.
  2. @Leo Gura I am massively imaginative. And I am also ambitious. But I am also content. Because of my imagination. And sometimes. I wonder - is it slowing me down? Just a thought.
  3. Ok. But sometimes people just imagine all day long. And get lots of joy out of it. But don't do anything. Cause they are so satisfied by their imagination?
  4. @now is forever now you’re playing word games. Words are never actual. They are just indicators and symbols towards a deeper meaning.
  5. @Leo Gura Obviously, she is questionable. As many people are. But the fact that every single allegation is answered directly by her, in this video. Means that you should at least watch and listen to the person your are gossiping and speculating about. Before offering any leaping judgements. I don't often comment on here, unless it's something I care or feel strongly about. And this woman is such an authentic person. She lays her cards on the table. All of them. Unlike some spiritual teachers that claim to be some kind of perfect, enlightenment master, who everyone should bow down to. And hide their real self, in fear of damaging their 'rep' She is also very, very brave and confronts some incredible tricky topics such as suicide, pedophilia and cancer. In a balanced, practical and honest way. Her material is rich with wisdom and multi - perspectives, which is beyond many people unfortunately. But there we go. That is why I suggest finding out for yourself instead of gossiping about an article. You are ALL missing a gem of a human being here. Be careful of those blind spots.
  6. @bejapuskas @anonymous @Leo Gura @Joseph Maynor and anyone else who is suspicious based on an article. Just remember the sole purposes of them is created to give off on one particular impression of someone. Which is completely fabricated and taken out of context. Just like a lawyer does to make his client look innocent or the prosecution guilty. We can ALL dress something up look a certain way - it isnt that hard. I've seen it done countless times on @Leo Gura I highly suggest you watch this video from start to finish and then make your own mind up. And if you still have suspicions fair enough. But at least you arn't basing them on gossip articles created by trolls and haters. I thought people on this site had far more awareness and wisdom than that.
  7. And bringing awareness to your blind spots. intepret it however you like... But I am just ensuring that the classic ‘‘throwing the baby out with bathwater’ doesn’t happen. as well as encouraging people to do their own research on a person !!!! Instead of blind believing of gossip and projection. It’s quite simple really. And finally. Let's just remember, this isnt about me or you. This is about providing balanced fair, and valid information about Teal Swan, so that the @Annoynymous can be supported in making his own, personal choice. And develop the ability to trust in what he is drawn to. Which, I hope in time, he can do. As, only he knows himself and what is right for him. We can only provide info and personal experience. Please avoid gossip and speculation though. As that won't do him any favours and is not the point of the post.
  8. @thesmileyone @now is forever You call it defense. I call it including information that you conveniently missed out.
  9. @now is forever Good for you, I am really pleased to hear that. Try not to focus on other people and what they 'should' or 'should not' do. Just work on yourself. Make changes within yourself. That always has the biggest impact rather than judging and projecting on to others. :-)
  10. @now is forever why does it matter? ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ You are judging a person who gives out thousands of hours of free content to people, to help them overcome serious difficulties in this life. And has transformed peoples lives and relationships from doing so. And all because her marketing team sell her art on mugs and tshirts. Whatever. It is a non issues. WTF? She is an artist, who sells her art. OMG! How dare she!?!? Deffo a cult leader. Sling her up! .............you guys crack me up. Forget that fact that she's helping people recover from serious abuse and trauma. And find contentment and purpose and fulfillment in a way which works for them! All for free. She had the audacity to paint some patterns and sell them. You guys worry me sometimes.
  11. @Tetcher @Leo Gura They are being spiritual snobs. It's her marketing team that do that. With no advert of 'guaranteed to open chakras' At least she goes and works face to face with people. As I said, she works incredibly hard. She's offered more free content that any other teacher and was one of the first to start doing so. Cut her some slack.
  12. @thesmileyone I am not here to argue with you. Believe what you wish. I would just advice you not to believe blindly. And not to believe gossip. Maybe she just doesn't click with you - that is fine. We're all different. But people that teach their followers to listen to their guidance systems and do what they want to do. What is right for them. Are not cult leaders. It is just a fact.
  13. @now is forever why is she not allowed to make money on what she is skilled at? she offers thousands of free weekly content and has done for almost 8 years. Yes, people get angry that she wants to make a career out of it. People like that are spiritual snobs I am afraid. They are hooked on what a spiritual teacher must look / sound / do / be like. And not on the value of they are offering. This woman works incredibly hard. She needs to sell and offer higher end stuff so she can keep providing the free stuff. She also needs it promote her content to make it accessible to the mainstream and not just a specific collection of people who shame the same interests and development states. Her stuff, if applied, is life changing and practical and relative to everyone. So ought be seen by everyone. And you can only do that by promoting / marketing and branding. Which costs money. She has a whole marketing team that prices everything she doesnt even get a choice of what goes out really. This is so she can focus on her material and her workshops and her books. The stuff she is really good at. The stuff that will change the world.
  14. @Leo Gura@Annoynymous Teal Swan is not a cult leader. People take what she says out of context and make it sound like whatever they want. Exactly the the same as they do to you. Don't trust other's dribs and drabs... do your own research on person. Make your own mind up. She constantly says throughout her videos to not believe anything she says. To trust yourself more than anything. She is bringing awareness and informing us because she is a highly conscious, intuitive and skilled spiritual teacher. She is incredible. And I am hot on these sorts of trappings. Whatever you see in her is a mirror of what is in yourself. So work on those areas you are criticising her for having. . We all have a dark side. So she will highlight that in you. No one needs to follow / listen to her if they don't want to. But as far as I am concerned, and I am very thorough. She is an absolute gem of a human being. And if everybody listened to her with an open mind. Great things could happen on our planet. For me - she is a cut above the rest. Not that everything she says is universal truth. Of course not. But there is just something incredibly unique and advanced about her.
  15. I've recently become really interested and excited about mastering the art of impromptu speaking.. (speaking in public without previously having a plan or rehearsal of what you want to say) I am member of Toastmasters and have noticed when I am put on the spot like that. I feel alive and excited, I feel charged. And I love it. However, as a naturally shy person I still don't have much belief in my speaking ability and do lack that kind of presence and enjoyment of speaking on a consistent, everyday basis. It very much depends on my mood at the time and how confident I am feeling. I was wondering whether anyone had any tips that I could use, apart from the obvious. Practicing talking out loud as often as you can. Thanks in advance :-)
  16. @aurum Great advice! Thank you so much... (!)
  17. @Bastian so you’re saying to just be open to talking about anything?
  18. @Sahil Pandit Thank you :-) I will practice this!
  19. But @Leo Gura I am already very good at talking about my subject matter. And even though I would happily talk about said subject all day long. It does leave me a but limited in other topics. And what if I want to get really good at creatively answering questions which lead me into the direction of what I want to talk about in a more humorous and inventive way. E.g dropping being literal. I would like to be able to do that more. As that allows my voice to flow more spontaneously and authentically. I literally shock myself with what comes out. And I learn stuff about myself that was buried in by subconcous. I find myself expressing more and feeling more free. I want to get better and more confident with that? Does that make sense? Is that even a skill?
  20. 'The new age movement is a spiritual and socio-economic movement that seeks to create a spirituality that is not confined by dogmas or borders, a spirituality that is inclusive and pluralistic. It seeks to create unity within humanity by extracting the seeds of truth (taking the best) from all cultures, all philosophies, all religions as well as all non-religious based philosophies such as science, self-help and psychology. It seeks to combine those truths into the purest, most in-alignment way of life that the world has yet seen. It seeks to decrease suffering and create unity on a social and cultural level as well, in accordance with the spiritual truths of this universe.' Teal Swan
  21. Hi @Healingheart :-) I recommend the book 'The Anatomy of Loneliness' by Teal Swan. And just so know, you may 'feel' like the only person in the world with this much loneliness, but that's what loneliness does. That's it's forte, It tricks you into thinking you are the only one and everyone else has connection. But, I can assure you, we all feel this. You aren't alone. It's the human condition.
  22. I tend to have a reoccurring pattern of getting obsessed with people / things? As I've grown up (late twenties) I've learnt to channel my obsessions which has worked quite well as the energy has caused me to develop and master particular skills, talents and creative pursuits. However, any idea what brings it on? I mostly get obsessed with random people in my life. Not in a way that I want a relationship, but just because I can't get them out my head and want to achieve goals with them and fantasise a lot (I've always been a BIG dreamer) It sounds like infatuation, but it's not. I also get obsessed with hobbies, career goals. authors... it can be quite draining but exhilarating. Am I out of control? Thanks.. :-)
  23. @Hellspeed @DrewNows they make me feel alive and high... they push my boundaries. They feel like drugs. They feel naughty. They keep me up at night fantisising. (Not in a sexual way) what is your advice that I do ? You say it’s to do with my conditioning. Does this mean they are pointing me towards my true allignment or are they distractions of the ego ? I am female by the way. In case that makes a difference. (I’m quite feminine. Probably 70 percent feminine energy and 30 percent masculine)
