  1. The quickest way I have learned to learn: F - Focus (25 minutes at a time with NO distractions). A - Ask yourself questions to see if you can answer them (do this over and over like homework or quizzes). R - Recall (after reading a page or learning new material, look away and see what you can recall. This helps form the memory). T - Teach (teach others or pretend to if you don't have someone to teach. This will help cement the knowledge you have and will expose any knowledge gaps). Trying to focus for hours on end has been proven to be ineffective. The brain must be focused, attentive, in a decent mood, and free from distractions. I have been doing this method of learning for a while now, which I combined from a few sources, and it's made a huge difference with my retention and interest. Good luck!
  2. I'm glad I came across this post. I too, would like to work remotely but feel hesitant since there are a lot of benefits with my current job. Unfortunately, working with shitty people day after day is negatively impacting my life and it might be worth the risk to end the exposure. Thanks everyone for the links and suggestions. Upwork looks quite viable.
  3. You can try essential oils that are good for skin and wrinkles. Frankincense is the best, also lavender and rose. You'd want to mix with coconut oil or another mild oil or face lotion.
  4. I agree with @Colin's post. People will react, judge, and label most everything/everyone. It's better to live the life we want than conform to someone else's ideas or expectation of us. Just today I was asked what I eat for protein. It will be nice when society no longer thinks of protein as the most important thing to put in our bodies. My response was the standard: legumes, nuts, seeds, vegetables and most people are getting much more protein than they need each day. Then I was asked which vegetables have the highest amount of protein... I wasn't ready for that, so I had to study up! By the way, the Beyond Burger tastes just like a real burger. It's juicy and cooks the same (in case anyone's interested in the vegan 'replacement' foods).
