Got any examples? I was just brushing my teeth and I just found out the natural toothpaste I use contains “carrageenan.” That’s one example. I know they often put this ingredient in almond milk and is to be avoided but I had no idea it was in my toothpaste. I guess as long as I don’t swallow the toothpaste it should be fine

@Flowerfaeiry Definitely something to be aware of. Same thing happens with our foods, I often tend to look at the ingredients list on the back to make sure I don't fall for anything like that. I did the same with these natural personal-care products that I mentioned here as well but its a little bit more difficult to spot an ingredient on the ingredients list that may be harmful because it's literally a whole entire list of ingredients that sound like chemicals. Ingredients in the Eco-Max laundry detergent for example such as, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Decyl Glucoside, etc. No idea what these are, but I definitely trust the product more than I do the usual Tide or Gain laundry detergents. I did Google these ingredients though just now and found them to be safe. Thanks for mentioning this

Does it really? Hmm interesting, I haven't thought of that. On the label of the one I'm using now it says "Organic Sugar Soap." And one of the ingredients in the soap is sucrose so perhaps that's what it is, along with the combination of all the oils that go with it. Edit: wow Charlie's soap is quite pricey, but I like how few ingredients it contains. Both the powdered & liquid form.

Good point, I mean after all I guess it is sort of unnatural in a way for humans to even have or use products at all. But I mean, I don't know how I feel about washing my body and hair with only water and leaving my skin all oily. And brushing my teeth with water too? I'd be a stinky man if I did all that lol Washing our clothes with water on its own I would say wouldn't be much of a good idea either

Leo still uses dollar store products confirmed. Guys we caught him red-handed

This is only my personal experience with them, but now that I think about it, psychedelics seem to have given me a short-term sense of confusion after each time I've used them in the past. And by short-term I mean I'd have a couple months after the trips, where I would be completely sober, but I still have feelings that I'm still out of touch with physical reality. This is probably common since they are in fact drugs after all, but I'd love to hear anyone else's experience with this. So why does this matter? I'd say it matters because it may affect your results in the external reality. Psychedelics may or may not be entirely useful for those still in the phase of chasing success or other external results. I wouldn't say I had enough guidance around psychedelics, I knew they were a spiritual tool but I was still in the phase of chasing money and women (still sort of am) and I thought it would help with that but it brought me the complete opposite. I'd definitely say it helped me grow in terms of internal, spiritual results but not so much when it comes to the external results. Again this is just my own personal experience with psychedelics. A few examples in my own life, I started using shrooms for the first time a couple years ago, then it seems I may have developed a spiritual-ego. I had a social life at my workplace at the time, but around the time I started using shrooms, I started to lose those friends in the workplace and I became quite arrogant. I seemed to have had a feeling of superiority over others. Another example is with women, there have been countless times where I would use psychedelics, but this time I'd use it for spiritual growth and to become more loving, but this lead me to being super needy with women over text. There have been many instances where I'd send the most cringe texts to women and it completely destroys my chances with them, this is what I'm talking about when I talk about confusion. I don't know if this was directly caused by the psychedelics, but I know in fact that psychedelics affect your perception and amplifies your feelings. So deep down I may feel this way about a situation with a girl, but the drugs amplify these feelings and lead me to send a text that I wouldn't have sent if I hadn't used the drugs. There are also examples in my life around specific financial losses that could've been a result of the psychedelic-use but I want to keep the thread short. Plus many examples where I would throw away certain friendships that I had, but probably for the better. TL;DR Psychedelics certainly effect your perception of reality and amplify any existing feelings that you may have in the moment. If deep down you're needy for a girl, psychedelics might make you even more needy and even make you take action on your neediness. Psychedelics also make you focus deeply on any existing problems that you may have. ALTHOUGH, I would say these are certain side-effects of the trip itself, but this thread is about the after-effects of psychedelics, and how psychedelics can alter your perception of reality AFTER the trip, temporarily. Maybe it may give you a sense of confusion and affect your results in the external reality. And I definitely would say I did learn many lessons from this, and have grown significantly, but if you're new to psychedelics it may or may not bring you what you expect.

@Focus I did pretty much mention, psychedelics do amplify who we are in a way. But, I still would argue that it may have some sort of effect on the brain after use because it is a drug after all. When people drink alcohol, we know that has an effect on the brain. Plus if they do drugs like crack or meth, those drugs obviously have harmful mind-altering effects on the person. I didn't even say they fix the problem, did you skim through what I wrote or did you just read the TL;DR? -
My track record? Doesn't have anything to do with my track record, in the example I meant to say that I was just browsing through my texts and saw our previous texts. I get what you mean though, the its the PUA 'attraction' strategy of trying to show the girl I got social proof with other women. But no that's not what I mean. And yes I understand it won't work but I don't care about getting blocked or ignored or humiliated, don't care. I want to do it so that's the only thing that matters. Worst case scenario, I get no response. Best case scenario it works out.

@rnd I'm also quite cautious about the covid vaxx, check my profile for the thread commenting on Leo's "Social Matrix" video. It's a thread that has been locked by Leo and it seems like an anti-vaxx perspective. Overall though, I'm in a non-biased, neutral position and I like looking at both sides of the coin. Currently I'm not vaccinated. I keep hearing this from the anti-covid vaxxers. I get it, it makes people cautious because they keep pushing it on the news. But from a non-biased point of view, it doesn't really make any sense to me why. They push it because we're in a pandemic and they need everyone to take it to achieve herd-immunity? From the anti-vaxx perspective it seems like they believe they only push it because they're desperate for money and they want to bring forth the New World Order and control the population with 5G or some shit. Sort of seems like some deception going on here.. I'm open to both sides though of course. I definitely agree with the argument that the covid virus only has a 2% mortality rate and so with that information it doesn't seem like its worth the potential side effects of the vaccine. But the pro-vaxxer's argument is that this virus could mutate into a more dangerous variant if many decide to go unvaccinated. Basically the current vaccine is meant to build immunity against the current, less deadly form of the virus so that it dies off and doesn't mutate. If many are left unvaccinated then more deadly mutations would lead to us needing a stronger vaxx? I definitely question this too but, millions have taken the vaccine already and it seems like only a couple thousand had died or had some adverse effects because of the vaxx. But I'd say its because they need to achieve the herd-immunity? Why report or fearmonger the people about rare side-effects? That would only cause more vaccine hesitancy and push their goal of herd-immunity further away. I hear this one a lot too. People say things like suicide or smoking causes more deaths but suicide and smoking isn't on the news. To me its like, um.. Suicide isn't a virus that transmissible among humans. I think its more about how easily and how highly transmissible the virus is. Covid could be spread through a single cough, but other diseases are harder to spread. Like HIV only spreads from blood to blood contact.

@flowboy Thanks for your input. I'm still thinking I should do it the way I originally thought, but of course I'd keep it light-hearted. Like "I was looking at my phone and the texts I sent you back then are so cringe, lol no wonder." Something like that cause at least I'm trying to bring attention to the fact that I messed up, and that I assume that's the reason why she lost interest. Plus I'm keeping it positive, right @BjarkeT I don't see her in person at all, she's just a person in my phone nowadays.

*note: This is not an anti-vaxx thread and I don't intend it to be a conspiracy theory thread either. With Leo's Social Matrix episode, how could we not question what's currently going on in the world? It wouldn't be fair if this thread was locked. Leo's recent Social Matrix video just reinforces my ideas on why I should not take the vaccine. I haven't finished the video in its entirety but I'm 2 hours into it as I'm writing this. Leo just posted a deep epistemological episode on 'The Social Matrix' which basically questions society at a meta-level. I see the ideas presented in the video as a deeper understanding of society and social conditioning basically. Throughout the video he proceeds to mention how certain news sources, authority figures, institutions, etc. have constructed this social matrix and how their worldview and ideas are biased towards anything that serves their survival. He also goes on to mention how their information that creates their worldview, has been sourced from others who have also played a part in this social matrix that has been constructed. This is circular. Leo even mentions how the medical and pharmaceutical industry plays a part in this social matrix as well and basically how their medicines and research have been cherry-picked, picking that of which would generate the most profit for them, doesn't matter if the drugs kill you or not. I wouldn't say Leo says this exactly in the video, but he says something along these lines. So with all of this being said, can't we apply this type of critical thinking and questioning to the covid and vaccine situation? This whole entire pandemic situation we're in seems like a situation for opportunists to generate profits, fuck the consequences. 'And let's make it so that we can't get sued for any adverse effects of the vaxx!' Was the virus intentionally created in a Wuhan lab and released out into the public to create a world-wide pandemic for the elites to generate profits? Who knows. Regardless of what's true, they definitely are profiting quite nicely off of this situation. Those who did the research for and created the vaxx are part of the social matrix. News sources are part of the social matrix as well, it spreads propaganda and fearmonger about the virus. These news sources are also most likely getting paid by the pharmaceutical companies to spread this propaganda and to promote the vaccine. Doctors are getting paid to promote the vaccine. So how the fuck do we trust anyone if we suspect everyone who is a part of the social matrix has some sort of ulterior motive? So with all of this deep epistemological questioning about the system, how could @Leo Gura support the vaxx? Some points on why I most likely won't get the vax: It's not FDA approved. Covid has a 2% mortality rate. I'm 25, healthy, I gym and take Vitamin D3, Zinc + Vitamin C, & organic multi-vitamins. I see more reports of adverse effects of the vaxx rather than reports of people getting sick from the virus. PLUS, these pharmaceutical companies have a history of some big lawsuits. Sounds like what Leo is talking about, these companies only care about profits and fuck the consequences. And why the hell does Florida act like the virus doesn't exist? Looks like they don't give a shit. They've been fully opened months ago and been holding fully packed sports events with no mask mandate. Reason I'd get the vax: To travel (if its mandatory) Lastly to make the point again I'm not anti-vaxx, I'm just stuck in this neutral position because half the world seems to be pro-vaxx and the other half is anti-vaxx or anti-covid vaxx. I don't know what to believe but Leo's video reinforces my idea why I shouldn't take it, but then the teacher (Leo) took it! Maybe I just shouldn't follow the teacher, I should only follow the advice and think for myself.

@Average Investor I get it, we're here to expand our consciousness and should be looking towards aligning our work with higher consciousness. But that's not entirely a concern for me at this moment. Perhaps it is for you and if that's what you feel you need to do for yourself with what you're doing with reselling then go for it. But I have different needs than you and I'll consider your recommendation when I know I need to. I'm going at my own pace. I trade because I enjoy it, and that's the only thing that matters. I'm 25, 26 in a couple months. If I don't continue working on what I'm doing now then I'll probably have to stay stuck in a restaurant job working for an hourly wage. Edit: And with the GME/AMC situation, the whole point of that was to take money from the hedge funds. Retail traders definitely still lost money though and contributed to the pool but that's not what its about. Plus I don't even think it's over yet exactly.

wait are you serious lol seemed like I was sort of getting some backlash for it Everyone here has read it though, oh well.

It's not exactly a bias that I hold, those ways of doing spiritual work in a group setting just didn't cross my mind until you mentioned them, so good point. Also, originally this thread was actually supposed to be more of a question of "Are extroverts capable of being deep philosophical intellectuals" because that's really what I'm asking here. The thread was just written on a whim and I didn't know exactly how to word it. Then you mentioned enlightenment and that's where the direction of the conversation went, I didn't actually mention enlightenment myself. Because to be honest I'm not entirely interested in enlightenment just yet. I'm more interested in intellectuals and intellectual growth. And to anyone reading this if the thread sounded arrogant, its more of a reflection of my frustration with being unable to find other like-minded individuals. The recent friends I've had were all extroverts that just couldn't hold a deep conversation.
-
Triggers? Where am I being triggered, in the thread? The thread was written on a whim one night and I posted it knowing that it most likely will come across to others as arrogance. I just deleted everything actually.

ok Mr. Extrovert How's the weather today? Temperature high or low where you're at? Gosh darn global warming. You eat good food today? Watching the big UFC fight this weekend Mr. Extrovert? did I do a good job at making small talk? Ahaha, I'm just kidding. It's just a discussion, I would assume a majority of us here are introverts who have personality types that lead us to become allured by what is taught here at Actualized.org. And I'm just saying, I haven't met any extroverts that are the deep philosophical type so what can I say
-
But generally speaking extroverts are lost in society? If you have any links of any examples of extroverted intellectuals on Youtube or anywhere else who are self-actualized, enlightened, or deeply philosophical, I'd love to check them out. But for the most part I would assume examples of these individuals would be a rare find, if there are any. Enlightenment though requires deep introspection of the self and isolation, does it not? And in my opinion most extroverts don't bother to do any introspective work because they're too focused on the social games that they play. Maybe that's a different story if you gave an extrovert some psychedelics, but this is assuming they don't take psychedelics. I understand that in theory but, relatively speaking
-
Limiting beliefs? If you read above what I wrote to RendHeaven you will notice I have no limiting beliefs when it comes to me as an introvert trying to be social, nor am I an extrovert trying to be enlightened. Maybe I have limiting beliefs around what extroverts are capable of if that's what you mean, but like I mentioned in the beginning of the thread, these are basically generalizations that I have that are based on my personal experience with the couple hundreds maybe thousands of extroverts that I've personally met in my life.

are people ever going to quit downplaying situations lol
-
I could say the same. Growing up, in school I was a complete loner, but still had friends. I then forced myself to work a ton of "front of house" restaurant jobs so I could interact with customers to improve my confidence & social skills. This lead me to get into pickup, I've probably approached over 600 random women in public within' a single year. But then I still have my moments of choosing solitude like I'm having this year. It could be a sign of spiritual growth or maturity, or its the spectrum moving from extroverted into introverted. Or its just me choosing authenticity and being who I truly am, an introvert. I consider myself extremely introverted, but if the situation calls for it I can choose to be social, for example if I wanted to impress a girl or something. But still, my social energy is limited even though I could have these social moments. With all of this being said, would I agree its a spectrum? Could be, but I mainly would consider myself to be a social introvert. My Dad is the quietest person I know, and my Mom is the loudest person I know, so then they made me.

Don't know what you got banned for, I don't even know who your other account is. What are you talking about? You're engaging in psychological abuse here, enough with that shit or we'll try to get this account banned too. No wonder you were banned.

That's if you follow the idea of Introversion & Extroversion being a spectrum. I'm more of a fan of the Myers-Briggs Personality type model
