If I were to be honest with myself, I’ve made quite a bit of “wrong” decisions in the past. I’ve lost money, wasted time, hung out with the wrong friends which lead to other idiotic decisions, etc. I mean I wouldn’t really say I have any deep regrets because I think of them as learning experiences. I’ve always made my decisions out of pure emotions. But these days I can say its getting a lot better though. Although still having difficulty trying to decide when to move out of my parents home and quit my job that I dislike. What are some ways to practice better decision making?

Sure it bothers me sometimes too when this girl talks about being spiritual when she doesn't even meditate, but I think a lot of people go through this mistake. Probably almost everyone has and will experience this, it's a common newbie mistake. Even I've gone through it, maybe I'm still going through it to some small degree, but eventually you grow out of it after some time and realize you're further back than you expected. And it doesn't just happen in personal development, I think it happens in a lot of other areas of life like entrepreneurship. Newbie entrepreneurs watch Gary Vee, think they're the shit and think they have a sustainable business but all they do is flip thrift store clothing on Instagram and realize entrepreneurship is harder than they thought. It's a common newbie mistake, fuck it. Might as well criticize elementary school kids too for not understanding university level teachings

@Socrates Okay I see it now. @kindayellow I know you're not asking me but I would say X is more on the Green side with some Orange. Probably 75% green 25% orange. I don't really see the Yellow. Mainly green because of the genuine care and love for other people, especially with the emotional side of him, those tend to be the general characteristics of stage green. This is a really good site to refer to: http://spiraldynamicsintegral.nl/en/green/

@Socrates Which album cover? You mean the one in my profile picture? Or did you mean contemplation and questioning? Same. Wasn’t a huge fan of Nipsey but after the whole situation I found out he seemed like a really good person. And with him doing a documentary on Dr. Sebi, its just crazy to me that this is all happening to people doing good in the world. I mean not to talk conspiracies but its just insane.

@kindayellow A thread about X? Awesome. I just saw him as someone who wanted to make a difference in the lives of many people. He definitely came from a place of negativity at first, his mom kicked him out, and his dad was locked up so he didn’t have anyone. So I’m pretty sure that’s what lead to him being this dark and “negative” person, beating people up, all the stabbings, etc. And one of the things that’s so interesting about him is that he seemed to make such a significant change going from that place of negativity into a more positive light. In my opinion its most likely because of the time he spent in jail which probably lead to him contemplating his life, questioning his actions, etc. So I guess we can really say that jail time is actually doing good for these people. Imagine being locked up in a cell for months/years, all you got is yourself and you have no choice but to contemplate about life. To answer your question, was he a cult leader? No I wouldn’t say so, I’m not really sure why you would ask that question. In my opinion its just the fact that he made such a huge shift in his life that he wanted to teach others to do the same. But being such a young age, people who learn these type of teachings tend to try to lecture others about it too. I mean, I was definitely like that, and still that way to some extent, trying to teach others about self-actualization. So what I’m trying to say is that it seemed to me that he fell into the trap of trying to “teach” others or trying to “spread an ideology.” I bet he was like that with all his friends too, there’s a video of him telling Kodak Black what to do. “Don’t do this and that.” It’s just coming from a place of trying to add value to other people’s lives and probably his way of showing love to others. But honestly that type of behavior repels people. He was only 20 and sometimes I question his own spiritual growth. It’s easy to tell others what to do but its a lot harder to focus on your own growth. He seemed to have somewhat of a strong spiritual ego, but nevertheless, I’m a huge fan, and he definitely made a huge difference in a lot of people’s lives. Whether its through his music or the stuff he did and talked about.

I'm not sure how you do it but when I upload videos from my iPhone to laptop, when you plug in your phone there's a folder where you can drag and drop the videos onto your laptop. Or you can upload it to dropbox on your iPhone then download it on your computer. Reasonable amount of time, depends how long your video is. Honestly I think uploading takes as long as however long the video is. So 1min video takes 1min to upload. 30mins takes 30min or less, and so on.

What is the best theory, or understanding that you heard or believe, after we die? My understanding around the topic isn't the best, I'm just curious what others have to say about this. I obviously haven't died so I don't know. I don't take a lot of psychedelics to be able to experience what is said on Leo's channel or anywhere else. I really only believe what I experience. From what I've heard so far, we die in the physical world, then enter the spiritual realm. Or we die in this illusion then wake up and exist as God. Or die and nothing happens. Then of course Christianity says we go to heaven or hell, but I'm not religious. But could the idea of heaven and hell be man's interpretation of what actually happens? Thoughts?

Maybe we can learn from each other and improve our own plan. My plan probably isn't the greatest, but its improving over time as I learn. Current plan: - Primary source of income is my 9-5 job, I save around 70% of my income living with family. Keeping my living expenses low. Mainly spend money only on food, gym membership, and rent. - Side hustles are Amazon FBA and Forex trading. Amazon is something I started recently, so I'm seeing results but nothing too crazy yet. Got a bit invested into it, first product is a loss but good learning experience. Forex, been studying and practicing for 2 years now. Somewhat dabbling in it but need to be more consistent with it. I treat Forex more as an investment rather than a source of income. - No current investments, probably should have some since all my money is just sitting in the bank. Although I'm waiting for some crash or bear market in the stock market, but we haven't seen anything yet. - Never really borrowed any money my whole life so I haven't been in debt. But I do have a credit card, and I do my best to pay it off each month. So my credit score is quite good which I'm pretty happy about. Overall my goal is to reach financial independence. Possibly going to stay at my current job until near the end of 2019 so I can save up some more, and fund my business. Then by then I'll probably have a solid investment portfolio with my business doing a lot better. I'll see where it goes. What is your plan?

@Zetxil Exactly that's the thing about it that makes it seem like its more of a market to be traded long-term rather than short-term. It just doesn't seem as volatile as stocks or crypto. Although there is scalping which is pretty short-term, there's a couple Forex videos on that. For me, the idea of 30-50% profit a year isn't too appealing to me to be honest lol. I mean its definitely a great idea to minimize risk and have somewhat of a guaranteed income from Forex, but it takes quite the investment to basically just make minimum wage. Not to say I'm the materialistic type looking to buy lambos and ferraris, but all I just want is time freedom. I'll just keep trying to figure out how to day-trade this market, then move into looking into stocks. @thesmileyone Same. I would be fine earning $500-$1K a month passively, and rent a room in a decent home. I'd 100% be fine with that. And honestly I'd rather earn $500-$1K a month passively for the rest of my life, than to earn $5K a month stuck at a 9-5 job for the rest of my life.

@Zetxil Or MOB money over bitches! Westsiiiiiide, lol just kidding. Thanks That's awesome that you're into both. I've looked into short-term trading stocks a couple times but Forex is just what I know best that I don't know if I should start learning a new market just yet. I want to be at least somewhat profitable in Forex before learning to trade stocks. What are your thoughts on the two when you compare them? They both seem quite different to me in my opinion. I don't see a lot of Forex day traders on Youtube, they're more focused on long-term, 30%-50% profit per year. While there are hundreds of videos on day trading stocks. And yeah definitely waiting for that bear market, idk where its at, the bear is hiding in the woods it needs to come out soon

Personally, I use it occasionally as a way to settle down maybe after a stressful day at work and for contemplation. Using it too often though, being high makes me not want to do anything, it kills productivity for me. Its like I'd rather lay down on my bed than read a book or get on my computer and get stuff done. That's my experience with it, was a frequent user in high school for recreation but not really my thing these days.

Is that really Leo's account though or just a fan account? I didn't even know Leo was on social media. It would be pretty surprising to me if he had a Facebook and Instagram account.
-
Leo 2016: "Napoleon Hill on his book Think and Grow Rich, he spent 10 or 20 years doing research on that book. That's impressive." Leo 2019: "The book Think and Get Rich? I think that's what its called."

What works for me is "doing." Do it every single day and that way you'll build momentum. Once you stop, then your momentum will drop and then you might be worried again about how to develop consistency. But just remember, just do, and then you'll build up the momentum again.

I’m starting to become aware of one of major mental projections. And its the fact that I view most businesses and certain people as “selfish.” Which is quite true because collectively as a society we’re slowly moving out of stage blue on the spiral dynamics model, into stage orange, correct? I believe I have this mental projection because in my early adulthood and until now, I’ve been exposed to a lot of selfishness in business. And on top of that, studying, meditating, and understanding what it means to be highly conscious, understanding different perspectives, I often view this projection as a result of the development of my consciousness. Some examples of my projections are onto doctors, “They don’t care about you, the medicine is expensive to pay themselves, it doesn’t help, its just a crutch.” Or I often see that the people of the government owned place that I live in, are finding ways just to spike up our electricity bills. And my dentists as a kid, I once had nice teeth and now they purposely ruined it in hopes of me paying for braces. And several more. I think that some of these beliefs are quite true and that only conscious people would be able to understand, correct me if I’m wrong. Is the goal to not have any of these? Is this even a psychologically healthy thing to do? Or is it most likely just a result of my development?

@Bluebird I wasn't triggered but I thought a bit of what you're saying here. This is definitely not the first time I'm hearing that same idea of something along those lines of "Whatever you project onto others is a projection of yourself." One person on these forums basically said that same exact thing to me as well, and my argument was, "No its not necessarily a direct projection of yourself, but it could mean that you were that way in the past." And I still think my argument is quite valid, it doesn't take a whole lot to spot the mentally dysfunctional people, doesn't take a whole lot to spot the emotionally attached people, the narcissists, etc. So basically what that idea says is that, just because I think someone else is a narcissist, means I'm currently a narcissist? I'm definitely not, but I was that way in the past when I used to do cold-approach pickup. These things are definitely a lot easier to spot when you were once that way in the past because you analyze your own past behaviors when you were that way, and you sort of see the same thing in other people. I also thought a bit deeper into what you said, and I admit it, I am quite selfish at times and I believe that selfishness is quite helpful in business in most cases. I'm often honest with others and with myself so that's not something I'm going to deny. I'll be honest with others even if it might ruin the relationship, that's how honest I am because I want to be true to myself. So even though I'm being honest about my selfishness, I still don't agree with the whole idea of "your projection is a reflection of who you are." I see people of different skin color, but do I have that same skin color? I see insecurity in other people, am I insecure? Not completely but it was quite bad for me in elementary and high school. Although one thing I can agree with is that judging other people says a lot about another person. People who tend to judge other often, most likely judge themselves in their own minds.

This thread is a trap

What are your opinions on this? Which one is it? Selfishness around money = more money? Giving and caring = abundance, earns more money? Maybe selfishness is more money in the short term and giving and caring is money in the long term? Thoughts, thanks

I listen to the podcast version of this at least once per day. He shares some pretty good points on business so I really recommend it if you haven't listened to it already.

Something you can learn to implement today is to learn how to live frugally. Live below your means. Save 30-70%+ of your income. Just some ideas: - Downgrade your phone bill, switch to a new provider. - Cook at home if you eat out all the time - Move back in with your parents if you're still young and have moved out already - Skip out on the fun and hanging out with friends and spending money and stay home. - Cut down on any other unnecessary expenses - Don't buy and drive a car if its not completely necessary. Bike if you can. If not, then downgrade your car, 2006 models are still good - Downgrade your phone. An iPhone 5 or 6 is still good enough honestly All of this is pretty much the ability to delay gratification. How does one learn to develop this mentality? That is something I'm not sure of and honestly questioned myself.

Beautiful pictures everyone. I'm going to try to snap a picture soon near the water again while its snowing like crazy out here

If so, could you provide us with sort of a backstory? What do you do? How did you achieve it? What were you doing prior to reaching financial independence? What are some of your daily habits, what you listen to, how long did it take, were you entrepreneurially-minded from the start, etc.
-
@outlandish I wouldn’t say that there’s different “stages” of financial independence, but there are different ways of being financially independent, or getting to financial independence. What you presented there is pretty much just the cashflow quadrant from the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad.” Which basically just talks about the different sources of earning income and how beneficial one or the other is. I’ll attach a photo of what it looks like. But basically what I mean by financial independence is creating your own source of income and being able to live off of it without relying on an employer. Here, I’ll put the cashflow quadrant photo here. And I consider that anyone who is NOT an employee and earns a liveable amount of money from the 3 different sources of income, are financially independent.

@Marinus Being introverted is only a limitation if you let it be one. I’m an INTP, super introverted, quiet loner my whole entire past life and I’ve done a ton of approaches in clubs and bars back in the day. I’ve always loved clubs and parties. A majority of the RSD instructors are introverts, Kong from SimplePickup is an introvert. Leo used to do pickup, he’s an introvert. And I’ve met a ton of other PUA’s who are introverts during my journey with game. If you can do a daygame approach, then you can do a nightgame approach. And yeah you’re right, daygame is good for the growth I must say. But maybe just don’t make it your main focus, nightgame is where its at. But it’s really up to you and your situation.
