@Leo Gura Trading is all about looking at previous data to understand where price is likely to head next. It's never a 100% thing that's what people have confused. It's more of a 50-70% chance of being right based on your skill/analysis. Yes there's a lot of similarities with gambling but gambling is based on pure luck and guessing. You can't look at the data to understand it'll hit red or black at the roulette table. Me coming back to this thread proves my analysis was right honestly, if it hits my target. But of course, I'm not claiming I know. I don't know, i don't know, I don't know. All I know are the probabilities.

@Leo Gura I'm going to come back to this thread several months later and I'll tag you to see who's right Even if I'm wrong I'll still do it. We could be at $100K already by that time or $10K, who knows.
-
@Leo Gura Which is true, I truly do not know. I already admit that it's just my personal opinion, not a sure thing. Only time will tell.

Well everyone, in my personal opinion I think we've finally hit the top for this current market cycle around $41K per BTC. The amount of greed is quite high at this point in time. I think we could see some more selling pressure for the next couple months. Money is still being pumped in and out of alt coins but overall I'm quite bearish. My personal bottom target for BTC is probably around 8-10K. Edit: Please excuse the messy charts

Congrats! Moving countries or cities, or moving out in general is always a big part of people's lives. Personally, I have yet to make the decision to move out of my parent's place even though I want to, its been difficult. Good on you for making this decision!

Yes been around for the 2017 bull run which ended horribly, but I'm still here and have a decent-sized portfolio mainly in ETH & a small amount of BTC. In my opinion, yes the technology is the future, but for now I think this specific market is heavily and easily manipulated. Maybe this will change with more regulations along the way but based on what we've seen in the past, there has been a repeated cycle of pumping & dumping. BTC goes to $1K! Drops 50%, BTC goes to $20k! drops to $3K, etc. etc. Same thing is most likely going to happen with this bull run. If we go to $100K like everyone predicts then we might even see a drop to $20K or $10K again. Not everyone is going to win, some people have to lose that's just how the game works. The big investors/traders are playing the short-term game to take everyone's money. Over the long run, who knows yes it might even go to $500K, I'm not saying it won't. But in the short-term anyone who gets involved in the market should expect repeated cycles of what we saw in 2017, big pumps & dumps. The crypto community is what I don't like. It's all fueled by hype. It doesn't matter how exciting the technology is, they hype it up like its a pyramid scheme. I got involved in a lot of crypto groups back in the day and I ended up getting burned. These days I do my best to make my own decisions and listen to only the best Youtube channels. I don't mean to sound so pessimistic, just providing a truthful perspective. I buy crypto, can't wait to see what's in store for crypto in the future, hopefully ETH goes to $5K at least this bull run.

Posted a thread a couple weeks ago about whether or not we should take a vaccine for COVID-19, it gained some popularity but unfortunately I didn’t add a poll. I wanted to see the results of who’s taking it or not so here it is. Edit: Poll results are now anonymous Previous thread:

@Northern soul In most cases no I wouldn't say so. Newbies have a lot of attachments to the ego, which make it difficult to achieve ego dissolution/ego death. -

Thinking of moving out of my parents place pretty soon, just turned 25. It's been difficult making the decision with all the attachments I have when it comes to living here and in this specific area. Especially with the pandemic & economic disaster going on, my decision has came to a halt. Hopefully I'll make the decision by the end of this year. I currently live in Canada, in a decent but expensive city. All I'm looking for in a new potential place to live if I move out is a gym, internet, grocery store with good food, and to live around nature. My ideal budget is under $500/month. I've been thinking the best place for me to move to would be Bali in Indonesia. It's low cost, with gyms, and some pretty beautiful sights of nature. Anyone know any other best low-cost places to live or have experience living abroad? Or does anyone have any experience living in Bali?
-
@flowboy So it seems like Bali is the best option so far. Thailand definitely is another good one too. Another thing I like to consider when visiting or moving to a new country is crime rate. I’m sure Bali is fairly safe right? Google says there’s a bit of crime but it probably depends on the area. Thanks for the website.

@mmKay I don't have a car/van. And I don't even have my actual driver's license yet so I guess that's not an option

Title says it. Why or why not?
-
Heard of him once but haven't watched his videos so I can't really give an opinion
-
@Michal__ No idea who Mike Thurston is to be honest. But its a good video and he says exactly what I'm basically saying, which is that it really depends on the individual. Just putting this out there, I've been working out for 9 (almost 10 years) now and I studied as a personal trainer once so I hold some pretty strong opinions. I am open to new ideas and other ways of doing things though obviously
-
@Michal__ Huh? Here's a good video for you to watch, which I'm currently watching. He goes much deeper than what you're saying
-
@Michal__ Done. Watched his video on full-body 2x/week. 2x/week ok makes more sense to me, you would be getting a significant amount of rest in between workouts. That's basically my whole entire argument against full body, which is the fact that you wouldn't be getting a proper amount of rest, but you actually would be if you did full-body 2x/week. This seems more like a "less is more" type of approach. For the busy types who have no time, I honestly would recommend this same exact workout plan to them. I definitely see no problem with it. But still for me personally, I think this would just make me lazy. Going to the gym is one of my biggest passions in life, I enjoy going 4-5 times a week and I have no problem with it at all. I have the time to so why not. Still, I think the answer to this whole conversation/debate is more dependent on the person's situation and goals. Its not a case of "full body is BETTER than bro splits." That would be being biased on your part, or on the part of whoever these "serious lifters" are. I might even try this for a couple months, but still going to stick to my original workout plan because it works best for me.
-
@Michal__ 3x a week for full body would make more sense if you're giving a yourself a good amount of time for your muscles to rest in between. Maybe 1-2 days of rest in between workouts. But splits are better in my opinion because it allows you to focus your time and effort in the gym mainly on a specific set of muscle groups. For example, I would focus on 3-5 exercises to workout a single muscle group like chest for example, then another 3-5 exercises in the same day for my biceps. All done within 1-2 hours. If I did full-body in one day, within' 1-2 hours it wouldn't hit the muscle groups as hard as if I did splits. Its much better to hit each muscle group individually in my opinion. But again, depends on the person and their goals
-
@HERO_ Says who? And I'm talking full body workout every single day for every single week. It depends on the person's goals. It depends on a lot of things actually. Depends on what type of workouts you're doing, how much you're lifting, etc. For me personally, a full body workout every day wouldn't make any sense. If you're someone looking to build muscle mass then you wouldn't want to do a full-body every day.
-
A mistake I made when I was first starting out was doing a full-body workout every single day. Full-body meaning I was working out every single major muscle group in one workout each day through random exercises. Its a pretty common newbie mistake also to workout a specific muscle group every single day. Newbies would workout their chest every day, or triceps every day for example. It's best to split your workouts, dedicate each day to one or two major muscle groups so your muscles could get a chance to recover for next week's workout. So for example, Monday would be Chest & Biceps day, Tuesday is Legs day, Wednesday Back & Biceps, Thursday Shoulders & Triceps.

I'm starting to realize how much garbage is put into products that we consume everyday, and these garbage ingredients either have a minor or major detrimental effect on our overall health over the long run. We may not be aware of these detrimental effects in the moment, because the changes are very subtle. So the idea of switching to organic foods or natural products don't often cross the minds of the average person. Or they just don't care about their health. So, I've decided that I'm switching the type of food and products I consume. I usually shop at the Dollar Store for my every day items, and its pretty obvious the ingredients in the Dollar Store products contain a lot of garbage in it, that's why its so cheap. The whole entire Fluoride thing in toothpaste was a big reason for my decision to switch. I just ordered a whole bunch of natural products like toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, a bar of soap, etc. I've already been eating an organic breakfast every single day which is oatmeal, but I've been drinking regular Tetley tea thinking its healthy. Of course there's benefits to it, but I'm deciding to switch to an organic tea brand like Stash. And this for me is going to be a gradual process during the year of 2021. Hopefully by the end of the year I will have made the switch completely. Hopefully this thread inspires someone out there to do the same. What are some of your ideas for 'healthy switches' that we can make when it comes to the products we use on a regular basis?
-
@Leo Gura So then basically the best way to get the highest quality, natural, food is to stay away from the grocery stores, grow your own crops, raise your own animals and/or hunt for your own meat? Society really is pushing us to become more and more independent huh, seems like this is just the best way to live life. For natural products though like body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. There's no way these natural products contain more toxic ingredients than non-natural every day use products, so I guess it gets the green light for the switch then right
