It seems a bit frustrating to not see much success. But I know it's part of the process. It's a bit difficult to get the mind to understand to not monitor the process so much. But I think I am learning this lesson quite well as I go along. One day, this whole struggle and hard work will make a lot of sense.

One of the best teachers to learn from would be Om Swami; someone who has spent more than two decades practicing serious meditation. Here are links to two of his books and his course on meditation. https://os.me/books/mind-full-to-mindful/ https://os.me/books/a-million-thoughts/ https://os.me/lessons/the-role-of-faith/

I am glad it helped you. Keep up the great work. Your video looks nice. Let the sun shine...

It's just been a few weeks since I started working on the Life Purpose. The mind has a tendency to keep looking for results. Every now and then an urge arises to check if I got more views on the videos. I have been doing EFT on dealing with this urge. Instead of giving in to the urge, why not let it go? Also, there is a recognition that a part of me (Shadow) loves the struggle, loves the obscurity and distraction and not having success. It loves all the drama and addiction. I have, for long, tried to fight it. And every time I fought, I lost. It's a part of me; it is me. Why fight myself? Why not choose to love it, with all my heart. That's Shadow Work in a nutshell. I am inspired by the idea of shifting one's identity. Currently I have an identity of being someone who doesn't have success, who is struggling. My behaviour corresponds to this identity. My desired self is someone who is successful, living in abundance, aligned with his life purpose. That desired self would obviously not be checking every now and then if he got more views. So I will do the work to shift into this identity. Let's see how that works.

One really effective way of dealing with any kind of 'negative' feeling is to fully feel it. Dropping all your resistance, ignoring all thoughts and just being present with the raw sensations of the feeling for as long as it lasts. It's a really powerful way of transmuting feelings into 'pure consciousness.' You can read more about it in Letting Go by David Hawkins. It may feel even more overwhelming for a while. The feeling will reach it's peak, stay there for some time and then start to diminish. This whole process may take minutes or days or weeks to fully let go of the feeling. Stay patient, diligent and persistent. Keep letting go. -
A hidden intention. For example, one might say that they want a lot of money, but they want all that money because they think it will get them lots of sex. So the true intention is wanting sex which is hidden behind the intention of wanting money. There is no definite answer, unfortunately. You might throw a basket ball with the best possible technique, but there is no guarantee that it will go in. You can increase the chances of success by listening to a really good tape, listening to it consistently, letting it sink in without resistance, etc. Yes. I hope this helps. All the best.

Please do not shun the idea of listening to the program because you found this on internet. One theory is that Kevin revealed too much about Secret Societies, which in turn retaliated with all that happened next (Kevin being jailed, declared a fraudster etc.). Remember to look at the moon and not the finger pointing at the moon. Your Wish Is Your Command is one of the most life changing pieces of information that I have ever been through. The first 4 sessions, in which Teachability Index and Mastering The Basics is discussed, are Pure Gold.

What's the ulterior intention? We want to be able to generate wealth without much effort/action. Why do we not want to act/put effort? Because it brings up suffering, pain, aversions. Guess what! Even if our external circumstances change and we are indeed able to generate wealth without effort, the suffering, pain and aversions will still be in place. We will still be miserable (or not so much at ease, at least). So maybe instead of looking for something that might work for us, let's do the work. Does not mean we need to work hard. Smart and intelligent work is the way to go. Nevertheless, wealth hypnosis tapes might work in changing one's attitude and mindset towards wealth creation.

It wasn't always this way. These days, I experience so much 'flow.' I spend hours working. And I mostly enjoy every moment of it. There are moments I don't enjoy, which seem like a struggle, and they are super awesome. Because these are old programs, beliefs, stuck 'energies' that come up so that they can be released, transmuted. Releasing and transmutation gets done. Really well. Thanks to Existential Kink practice and all the other teachings I am practicing (like Letting Go, Bentinho Massaro's stuff etc.) Just a few weeks ago, I was confused, lost, anxious, worried. I didn't know clearly what I wanted to do. Even when I worked on something, it used to be so much struggle. Fear of failure and self-doubt would come up; sometimes with such force that I wouldn't be able to handle it and would retreat back to comfort zone. Then I learnt to love the pain. Let's see how things unfold.

I am working on what I would call my Life Purpose. Most of my time is focused either on the work I am doing or on my practices and self-care. Morning routine: 04:15 Wake up, drink a glass of water, do oil pulling, light stretching 05:00-06:00 Meditation/Shadow work practice 06:00-07:00 Workout + Pranayam practice I work around 6-7 hours a day. I am creating videos and publishing them on youtube. For the videos, I am also writing transcripts which I post on my website. I get up from work usually at 17:30. Evening routine: 17:30 Dinner 18:00-19:00 Family time 19:00-20:00 Meditation/Shadow work practice 20:00-21:00 Study/read/learn 21:00-21:30 Go for a walk with parents. 21:35 Get on bed; meditate till sleepy. I am doing Shadow Work as taught by Carolyn Elliott. I love her work. I joined her ongoing course INFLUENCE, which started yesterday. Today, instead of meditation practice between 05:00 and 06:00, I recorded a video. Because it's quieter at that time; less background noise. Now, I'll go and do some Shadow Work. Thanks to Shadow Work, I am enjoying the process very much.

Reading success stories can help you get motivated. However, you know what's even better? Having your own experiences. No amount of others' experiences, no matter how good they are, will help you experience the truth for your self. Try applying the lessons you have learnt in small ways and see how it works. Kevin's highest teaching (in my opinion) is to, 'feel as good you can and feel even better.' No harm in feeling really good, is there?

Am I not creating 'history' out of my own consciousness? If I am, won't I be projecting my own 'stuff' on to it? How do I know what I am studying is accurate/true?
-
@Anniey Let go of wanting to figure out what it means. Instead focus on the practice. Any thought/suggestion on what it means would just be a thought, a belief. How would you ever know that the meaning you are giving to it is accurate? Trying to figure out what an experience means is a distraction; a big one.

@Moon About Kevin being jailed, one theory is that he 'revealed' too much about secret societies in Your Wish Is Your Command. Whatever we hear or read about someone could be inaccurate. More important than a teacher's personal story is the potency and accuracy of their teachings. Your name reminds me of, 'Look at the moon not the finger pointing at the moon.'

A few years ago, I was on another self-improvement forum where the creator of the forum used to recommend Your Wish Is Your Command a lot. He used to say that he had been through 10000 hours of studying self-improvement/spiritual literature and found this program to be one of the most important pieces of information available to humankind. He used to say that one must listen to the whole program at least a hundred times. Most of the members did not pay much attention to this advice but one person did (let's call him, 'A'). A listened to the program over and over. The program is about 14 hours long, and 'A' had listened to it for 33 times when I got to know about him. Turns out that 'A' started creating massive results in his life. He was an average student in his college but after following this program, he became a topper. He reported many results like manifesting synchronicities, improving his relationships, starting a business etc. This inspired a lot of us. I started listening to the program too and initially I found it hard to follow. Kevin speaks quite slowly and repeats his points a lot. And that was annoying. Ironically, the slow speech and repetition is a key part why the program is so good. Because that's how it really goes deep into one's sub-conscious. After listening to the program just once, a huge shift came about in how I saw the world. I realised that the most important thing in life is to master one's emotions. The program became one of the most important priorities of my life at that time. I listened to it a number of times, 10 I think. And it created massive shifts. The most important shift was that I became far more teachable. Increasing your teachability and mastering the basics is a point that Kevin focuses a lot on. It was only after I had been through this program for a number of times that I started actually applying whatever self-improvement stuff I was reading and listening to. Before that, it was mostly like I was just gathering information but not really implementing it. I started practicing things much more diligently and consistently and that improved the results I was getting manifold. I would highly recommend Your Wish Is Your Command. Like the mentor I was talking about used to say, 'This information is Gold.'

I would say it would be better to use the word, 'paradoxical' rather than, 'contradictory.' -
I came across Letting Go by David Hawkins around April 2016. I had gone through three 10 day Vipassana retreats before but didn't practice the technique consistently. After reading Letting Go, I found what David shared in his book was quite similar to Vipassana meditation. After reading the book, I started practicing Vipassana every day for two hours. I did this consistently for months. The thing about the book is that it explains each emotion so thoroughly. Moreover, I found the experiences, personal stories shared by the author to be quite inspiring. In fact, the book changed my life in a very profound way. I have been practicing letting go since then. Over the years my practice has gone deeper. I found out that David Hawkins learnt what he shares in Letting Go from Lester Levenson; an American spiritual master. I found more works which were inspired by Lester's teachings; namely The Sedona Method (by Hale Dwoskin) and The Release Technique (by Larry Crane). I have deeply studied and practiced Lester's teachings and the growth I have experienced is beyond words.

It could be because of several reasons. I would attribute it to having clarified my life purpose. Leo's course helped me do that. My life purpose drives me. I am excited to wake up each morning and work towards my life purpose. Meditation, semen retention, healthy diet, no distraction (no social media, no unnecessary internet browsing) could be other major contributing factors.

Check out The Dry Fasting Miracle by Luke Coutinho. It's an amazing book on the topic and will answer many questions and provide tremendous inspiration. My experience with intermittent fasting; very briefly, I lost 4 Kgs very easily. I haven't fallen sick despite many odds since I started intermittent fasting. I experience much higher energy. I wake up at 4 am and sleep for around 6 hours; and yet stay energetic and alert. I'd also add that intermittent fasting might not be the only reason for above results; other consistent practices like meditation, working out, taking high quality supplements could be a factor.

I have been into self-improvement since around 2011-2012. I have practiced so many techniques consistently. Shamanic breathing has so far been the most taxing. Doing it for ten minutes is an ordeal. Nevertheless, now that I find it challenging, it would be fun to ace it; to practice it hard, to go all the way in and come out on the other end, transformed. I have been reading Obstacle Is The Way by Ryan Holiday. Such an inspirational book. Changes one's perspective about challenges. For now, I find the practice of Shamanic Breathing quite challenging; something that I am even developing a mental resistance for. I feel like not doing it. And that tells me I better strengthen my commitment and do it, nay, ace it. I will ace it. See me rising. Witness me.

I have committed myself to a one year super consistent practice of Shamanic Breathing. For now, I have decided to practice the technique for 10 minutes every day for the next 30 days. I don't know if this is the 'right' way to go about it. I just feel inspired to do it this way. After 30 days, I will define my practice based on what feels right then. My intentions are: 1. To consistently practice the technique and reach a place where I can do 30 minute and eventually 90 minute sessions. The technique is quite challenging, as per my experience. To do it even for ten minutes requires tremendous amount of diligence and effort. 2. To document my journey. To record what challenges, experiences, results happen through a consistent practice of Shamanic Breathing for one year. 3. To inspire others through my example. I intend to live a profound life and inspire others to do the same. I love this intention. 4. To build an audience for my youtube channel. To be honest, a major reason for creating this journal is also to direct some traffic to my youtube channel. Yet, I don't want to be self-promoting here. I intend to post videos about this whole journey on youtube and also to share those videos here in this journal. If, however, that gets considered against forum guidelines, I would be happy to refrain doing so. Let's become God. Some previous days' entries (originally maintained in my commonplace journal): 21/01/2020 06:24 Did 10 minutes. Was a bit challenging as usual. Ended up stretching and twisting like before. Paused at times because of getting tired. 20/01/2020 05:49 Did 10 minutes. Nothing unusual. Some vibrations felt in the body after the session; during post session relaxation period. Also a desire arose to do some deep stretching and twisting. Some headache during the session. 19/01/2020 08:27 Did 10 minutes of practice. At points I kind of dozed off, when awareness returned I continued. Nothing special experienced. When I got up to put off the alarm, I was kind of dizzy and immediately I returned to lying down position. While typing this I felt a bit of a sharp pain in left shoulder-blade.

29/01/2020 After I made a public commitment to practice the technique for 30 days consistently, things happened in such a way that I didn't practice. I don't want to make excuses. I could have done it but didn't. This has happened with me at times. That when I made a public commitment, it didn't go very well. For that reason I had refrained from making public commitments. However, I have learnt now that failing to be perfect in commitments is part of the process. So why not let people see myself failing? The important thing is to stay persistent and keep going despite failing over and over. Anyway, I practiced the technique for 10 minutes just now and live streamed it on youtube. Note to myself: Persist. Always do your best.

Whenever you are trying to make a change, your old beliefs, thought patterns etc. will revolt. There is a profound video on this topic by Bentinho Massaro. He calls it the Three Day Process. I will explain it here in short. On Day 1, you have a new vision, you feel excited. On Day 2, all your doubts and fears come up full force; both externally and internally. If you persist and stay excited, Day 3 comes; which is day of success and celebration. What really can be helpful through the process of making a change is to have a clear and structured approach to dealing with Day 2 challenges; to let go of doubts and fears and stay excited. EFT (Emotional Freedom Tapping) is a good technique for doing just that. Letting Go (Sedona Method, Release Technique) is another simple and powerful technique. Here are some useful links. Well, thank you everyone for your responses. I appreciate your efforts and willingness to share your ideas and insights. In yesterday's episode, one thing Leo talked about was Radical Honesty by Brad Blanton. I am currently skimming through the book and I find the ideas presented there really amazing. It covers in great detail how to deal with anger. I like the approach mentioned there.
