True contemplation will always lead to beingness and silence. If you really do deep concentrated contemplation for many many hours on a topic, you will always end up in the same place. The reason why we think about things is that we don't know things. Through contemplation, you can gain knowledge directly from the source, and thus over time, your mind will actually become quieter due to an increased understanding of everything. -

It would be much harder for them to have a mystical experience. Might need higher doses, or it just has little effect on them. And the depth of the experience will be very shallow. As well as a lack of integration after. -

Self-Love-Self I looked at my hand And saw an infinite void Flowing and merging With everything, in time The existence of this being Is unexplainable and unspeakable It flows and waves into everything Like a hug, or kiss, embracing The music we play The art we make The things we love The things we hate All are flowing in and out Of this being Like a great machine Pumping and sucking itself On repeat The people we meet The people we love The people we hate The strangers you’ve gazed Are all flowing, In and out of this being... It’s like falling in love And being in pain At the same time It’s like being all the stars in the sky And every single grain of sand, At the same time It doesn’t speak Yet it's all that we've ever said It knows nothing Yet, it is everything Being it... Being you... Being me... It is all we ever wanted A requiem of surrender Lying in this silent pain Hearing the words of that navel chain Words forming in a swing Making me surrender all my dreams I said to you What is this feeling As I fall more and more into You and you and you and you... And me and me and me and me... Like a cycle it repeats Singing and talking and cursing and yelling And crying and laughing and coughing and screaming And touching and holding and gripping and pushing And cutting and hugging and kissing and loving And into others senses, that are foreign and without names It’s like falling and falling and falling and falling... And flying and flying and flying and flying... Forever And all of this Forming those tiny but infinite points Of existence and reality Of experience and identity I surrendered more and more As I became it All these pain All these love All these beings And I heard that song reached an end As I gave up all of me I died and became Nothing... Love Meditation The awareness of this empty moment Flowing through this living second Towards that infinite present Without any desolation In our heartbeat, there is a song Singing about the love that we share Hearing the silence of my own mirror Touching the core of that sacred tear The seeking of that great mystery Helped reach our own mastery Of those crying memories And this perfect symmetry To experience this profound moment Feeling the love in that silence To reflect on my own existence Knowing that... You The stormy night below the shadow of the heart of your gentle soul That has passed a thousand voices of these endless whispers from you The dreams of heaven are taking over the sea of clouds, moving As they danced, they laughed, and cried a little rain What is here, you asked With great wonder and confusion You are here, I said And smiled at your heavenly existence As it falls through your eyes it reveals That you are this unknowable being With infinite love and endless dreams And then you said to me with a faint echo, through eternity I love you... Holy Nothing Infinite void Is so beautiful It took my body And consumed my soul Words forming wordlessly Lights shining lightlessly Voice speaking silently Hands touching senselessly Everything is happening Nothing is happening Everything is existing Nothing is existing The same time was forming As we became something Then in an eternity Back into nothing It is a feeling That contains all of our pains With joy and love and happiness In infinite intensity It can’t be described It is love It can’t be understood It is us We imagined it And it became us We loved it And we killed it Again and again So that we can be it Oh How can I ever describe you I can’t I am you Some of my recent pieces. @Natasha I totally forgot about this tread. -

@Leo Gura Yep, for me there's no entities or visuals, more so sensations of infinity/self, or feelings of being, many are outside of the human senses. There might be some visuals in the beginning, but eventually, it all merges into nothing. -

@SpYITB In true absolute infinity, concepts such as loneliness, or feelings, or any concept for that sake, are all gone and merged into one. -

@PurpleTree Do your own research and come to your own conclusion if you wish to have a better understanding. How well do you really know about those events? About how and why they happened? What are the consequences of those events? How has it changed things? From all the different perspectives. Can you see all the perspectives and have compassion and understanding for all of them? How much do you really know about Chinese history and culture? How well do you really know about the ins and outs of the evolution of the Chinese government and politics? Or of their governmental system today? Have you ever tried to look at the other side? Or just assuming whatever the media saying is true? -
erik8lrl replied to TrustTheProcess's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@PurpleTree I'm not defending. The CCP has made plenty of mistakes. I'm simply saying they are exaggerated or thrown out of context, you can only have a better understanding when you know the narrative on both sides. -

Part of the reason why China and the US's tension has been rising over the years is mainly due to the lack of communication between China and the west. More specifically: 1. Most Chinese don't care about politics; they are only focused on making a living and live a good life. Thus there is no reason for them to use a VPN and explore outside media because there are so much hate and misinformation that it feels pointless. 2. Even if they do care and try to go on, most are not good at English, so they don't. And if they are good at English, the moment they speak, there will be a wave of people saying that they are brainwashed and choose not to believe in anything they say. 3. The western population's only way of getting information on China is from the media, which is heavily biased towards western ideology and believes. 4. The fear fundamentally comes from the lack of understanding of Chinese history, culture, and politics. Chinese history is not taught in school in the west, so people have no idea. And the political system in China changes all the time, so it's hard for ideology heavy countries to understand how it works. You can't use the left or right lens to look at China because it doesn't believe in left or right when it comes to practice. 5. Due to that fear, any positive information about China is censored on the media. Resulting in more misunderstanding in the general public. 6. For the States, this benefits greatly. You get an easy scapegoat while trying to maintain world dominance by creating hatred so you can easily demonize the Chinese. When war comes, you will have no problem getting solders, and if you win, you get all their resources. 7. The truth is, what the Chinese want is not that different from what the west want. And people all over the world are all the same people who are just trying to survive and live a happy life. But our collective ego simply cannot see the other side, so we have conflict, and then through bloodshed and death, we can then maybe be hurt enough to see why everything happened the way it did. -

@PurpleTree Please don't believe anything I say, believe what you want to believe, but until you see it with your own eyes, it's all just hearsay. All of those things you mentioned are heavily exaggerated by the media or are thrown out of context. Dig deeper into those stories and don't just listen to one side if you wish to have a better understanding. All nations have some form of brainwash. Just try to think about when was the last time you heard something positive about China on the news? Probably never. How is it possible that almost 1/3 of the global population has done no one good thing in all these years? I am Chinese but I grew up in Canada and studied in the States. -

@Opo Yes, absolutely no drugs! Right now it's hard to enter as a foreigner because of covid, but everything will open up again probably next year. Learn some Chinese if you don't have guides. Be ready for culture shock and have an open mind. Download WeChat, you can pay everything with it and its basically all your apps combined into one. Buy a good VPN before you go. Do some research about the place you are going, every part of China is completely different. Here is a good video on that: -

@Opo I mean, if you are extremely poor, and already have a lot of kids, and you try to have more, of course, the hospital will report you and try to stop you because you can't support the kid and that's irresponsible. Of course, you can still just have the kids privately, but you will be fined. -
erik8lrl replied to TrustTheProcess's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Opo That is false. -
erik8lrl replied to TrustTheProcess's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@Opo There are a lot of misconceptions about child policies in China. First, the origin of the child policy was first created because the generation of Chinese when the country was founded were mostly uneducated farmers and workers. They have no knowledge about birth control, so they were having kids all the time. It's not uncommon to have 5-6 kids in a family. But at the time they were extremely poor, and the government was just starting to try to build a communist society(It didn't really work) and people were dying of hunger. Kids were born into suffering and death, and the population kept on growing, they simply can't keep everyone fed. So the one-child policy is created to stop people from having too many kids irresponsibility and save lives. Of course, it has changed into a two-child policy for Han Chinese and three-four for ethnic minorities in recent years because the country is much wealthier and families can support having more kids. Now, if you have more kids than the policy allows, there are few scenarios. If you have twins, triplets or quadruplets(very rare), they are okay. If you are pregnant and can still go through an abortion, when you go to the hospital they will recommend that. However, if you can't/don't want to do an abortion you will be fined by the government for breaking the policy and will need to prove that you can support the child. If you are rich, you can have as many kids as you want. The hospital won't force you to have an abortion, but they might report you. So some people just go to the countryside and have the child and then go back to the city. Very rare tho, kids are expansive. The policy is just there to make most people more responsible. All these killing kids stories you hear in the west are not true. And as for Uighurs, they are treated equally as everyone else, aside from being able to have three-four kids. Tho I heard there are extreme Uighurs families that breaking the policy and having 5-6 or even 7 kids while living in poverty, the kids will be starved and not allowed to go to school, but I think they are rare. -

@Forestluv You should! I would say the only downside of living in China is that most people are very materialistic. Naturally, because China has gone through so much growth in the past 50 years that people are still catching up consciously. Similar to anywhere else tho, very spiritual and conscious people are rare to find. But other than that, it's not a bad place to visit. Here are some good places to visit: -

@Opo Yes, they are re-educating them, from becoming terrorists and believing in Islamic extremisms. It is difficult because you never know who the extremists are and who are just normal Muslims. So they put them through re-education to find those extremists. Plus, a large population of the Muslim community in Xinjiang doesn't speak Chinese, which prevents them from doing business around the country and getting out of poverty. So the re-education also will teach them Chinese so that they can make a better living. Are Muslims vanishing in China? No. CCP doesn't care what religion you believe in, as long as you don't kill other people or try to destabilize the country because of it. There are other Muslim Provence in China, and Muslims are all over the country. Muslim-friendly restaurants are all over the place. There are 56 different ethnic minorities, all with their own culture and beliefs in China. To have equality for all of them, there are many policies that benefit them only. Just a few examples, ethnic minorities can have more children than Han Chinese, who can only have two. They also get free marks when taking the national college exams, which makes them get into the best universities much easier than Han Chinese. The reporter of that video doesn't seem to know the history of Xinjiang and China that well; she is merely judging from an outside perspective without any context. For example, the school's fence and walls are there to protect the kids from terrorist attacks. This issue is far more complicated than it seems on the surface. Because there are terrorists, there are extremists, and there are separatists (who want independence for Xinjiang) and mixtures of all three. And all three are created from ignorance. Xinjiang has progressed so much in the past 20 years, it is now very modern with great culture, and most people live a much happier and better life, free from poverty. Aside from the extremists, who don't speak Chinese, they have lots of kids that are not educated, and they are very poor. They, of course, they are very easy to misinform and mislead. Because Xinjiang is so close to other countries with a lot of Islamic extremisms and often do business with each other, they are easily influenced. It's also not impossible that the US is trying to use Xinjiang as a destabilization campaign. So far, it's not really working aside from the negative press image on China. Censorship on anything positive about China is very heavy on Youtube, Google, and Facebook. They all get demonetized and de-ranked. In fact, the whole reason why Facebook is banned in China is that many years ago, there was a terrorist attack in Xinjiang organized by an extremist group on Facebook that leads to the death of many. The Chinese government asked Facebook to ban such groups as a part of national law that you can't have hate or terrorist groups. Facebook didn't do so, so they broke the law and thus were not allowed to do business in China. Even today, you can go on Facebook and search for China hate group, you will find many. But yeah, don't believe what I say, go to Xinjiang yourself and see with your own eyes what life is like there. Go to those "concentration camps" and see what's really going on. -
