  1. I'm also worried about the situation in my country, i'll vote for blue and white and hope for the best. there is even a senario in which we will go into a third time election this year since both big partyies cant establish a govement with thier number of recommanders ( the elections in israel are parlamental and not presidential) Bibi is a pure orange leader, if you think that trump is a highly skilled marketer/manipulator then bibi is probbly a master when it comes to manipulating systems and marketing himself. i'll just show you a conversation( unfortunatly only in hebrew) about his marketing tactics . However i should note that bibi isnt a bad and cruel leader, he did many good things for israel and in general he wasnt hasty in his political decisions (which can be an advantage from the political situation in israel), but in this situation he fights for his survival in both his political and self image, which causes him to lose his Integrity and to short-sell all the values of his party so he can keep himself out of judgment.
  2. Haven't read all posts but here is the definition of solipsism from wikipedia: The biggest flaw i would say about solipsism is that it entails and outside world and an inside world, the solipsist still needs a presupposition of the localization of his self in a particular space and since he cannot rely on an outside world that isn't his inside's world creation he gets into an contradicted position. But i assume that leo defines solipsism in a different way
  3. @Leo Gura On what stage of the ten oxherding pictures would you put yourself now? or that you're out of this model?
  4. Some funny clip that i remembered as a child and can be used as an interesting allegory for understanding the search for awakening ( its also gives some insights on relativism too ^^)
  5. Just finished watching leo's new video on cult psychology , and i thought that this a good opportunity to introduce you a very interesting (and underrated) youtuber called theramintrees. though his videos focus on religion and atheism conflict he still appeals more to the psychological aspects of religion and cult indoctrination and influence in the recent years. I'll have to admit that he was one of my main sources that influenced me on my path of leaving my traditional religion This video I'm posting here is probably one of his best in my opinion, where he discusses the psychological processes and mechanisms of cult indoctrination that will ascribe to leo's video. I would like to warn you that his videos are very dense in information and will require you to listen a few times in order to grasp his points.
  6. Not sure if someone have posted this before but it's a nice illustration.
  7. Here is an interesting metaphor for the Ego structure of belief systems and his defensive mechanism for maintaining it.
  8. I believe it's still valuable to study different perspectives even if they are not directed towards awakening, especially the most influential philosophers of the western world(Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle) however, when it comes to Socrates he might have a touch of awakening through his "Socratic method", ill leave you with a book I have discovered but haven't read yet but is interesting to investigate. https://www.amazon.com/Socrates-Enlightenment-Path-William-Bodri/dp/1578631912
  9. I just came across this CGI Animated Short Film. it shows a great example for Recontexualization
  10. An interesting lecture by Stephen Hicks a Canadian-American philosopher who studied the development of the premodern era the modern and the postmodern . His model looks similar to the developments of the stages blue, orange and green in spiral dynamics. he brings good points regarding postmodernism and the dangers it may have on society from a political stance. he explains the philosophical foundations of postmodernism and how it differentiate from the modern and the premodern philosophical fundamentals. Overall this is a good lecture Imo and it can add some depth to the current discussion regarding spiral dynamics.
  11. Whats your opinion on Adi da teachings and daism in general ? do you consider him a reliable source ?
  12. I can, but its still not easy to not expose paid content without discussing freely on certain subjects that are essence to the product Mentioning certain books from your life purpose course and your book list for example without revealing paid content is almost impossible.(of course you can discuss about any book freely but associating it with the product is a violation of copyright) What about adding some suggestions for improvement or discussing about the structure of the product for people that want to know how other people approached the topics or if they need help when they get stuck specifically on certain points. If you believe that there wont be much people participating inside the sub forums, i understand . but i think its a good way to let people discuss freely on your products without risking posting deletion and hurting your business.
  13. Hey Leo, what do you think about the idea of adding sub-forums for your paid products ( the book list and the life purpose course), available only for paid costumers of course . I would like to be able to discuss about your products with other people and maybe suggest some improvements, without leaking information that could harm business. I know that these sub-forums might have very low traffic but i still think its a nice add-on for your paid costumers.
  14. Got stumbled by this video, it seems relevant
  15. Yep, I believe that we suffer more in the process of avoiding the suffering itself surprisingly.
