You should really meditate 2 hrs everyday minimum. People say that less is enough, but they are only doing that to bait you in. 2 hours daily is really not that much. People manage to do 4 hours a day and go to work. You can cut 1 hour of sleep in lieu of meditation. You can start with 10 minutes, but progress to 2 hours in 6 months or faster if you can. And don't just "meditate". Find a concrete technique like mantra meditation, transcendental meditation, kriya yoga, self-inquiry or vipassana. -
Yes, and it's generally the same plan every time. Chill and relax till the peak, turn off the music, contemplate the shit out of the substance, grab a snack and go on a walk to integrate on the comedown. Alternatively, if I had wanted to explore magical realms, I would play music, lay on the couch with a blanket, close my eyes and don't leave my "nest" for the whole trip.

It's an energy and you lack control of it. I bet all my simoleons that Mahamudra will help you. It has helped me. Plus, I have noticed that whatever anxiety one has it just makes the symptoms worse. So getting rid of anxiety is something worth focusing on. -

@Tony 845 I don't remember, do you practice Kriya Yoga? If yes, then Maha Mudra + Kriya Pranayama combo is an excellent kundalini silencer. -

@Aaron p Go to the chapter explaining Kechari Mudra, it's all explained here. -
J.C. Stevens book with Kriya Yoga practices. Maybe I could master it all. Would never take "The Power of Now", it's entry-level weaksauce. Sorry guys I have loved in the past too but coming back to it now there's nothing interesting.

Book a spot at a 5-MeO-DMT ceremony #priorities #spiritualgoals But seriously, I would invest it in developing my career capital. Living off the money and learning new skills, or attending a few conferences and making meaningful connections, etc. Anything that would enable me to earn more in the future and have a bigger impact on my life purpose.

https://80000hours.org/career-guide/ is a good free career course if you don't have money to spend on Leo's Life Purpose Course.

But why the hell would you expect something else from people? If you think you are that genuinely good person and others should b like you, then think twice. Your ego might be playing games with you. That doesn't seem like a description of a happy person. I don't know who would it apply to. I think that even the most Enlightened people help others purely for fun because there's nothing better to stuff their time with. Because you have a skewed worldview. Travel to other countries, get therapy or just force yourself to meet new people if you have enough will power. Or work directly on your hidden traumas, there are techniques for that like psychedelics or shamanic breathing.

Meditation habit is a huge investment and is not directly aimed at the issue OP has. I would suggest trying other, more direct solutions to anxiety first.

You have NPC energy Maybe people do it because doing good feels good? If you don't have that reaction built-in within you then I understand why it might be hard to grasp.

Why yogis don't eat much? To not be so full of shit all the time. -

@Truth Addict There's no difference between God and Nothingness, so there's no comparison. That's stating a fact. -

Yes, I have just thought about it and wanted to delete the sentence. This one is like a strange loop. You move your thoughts towards God and wonder how could you possibly divide Nothing, but then look at the world and see that it is divided. -
Girzo replied to Anton_Pierre's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There's only one individual, that means God. Individual = not divisible. Only God is not divisible. So, yes, God thinks. If it wasn't God who is thinking, then who would be thinking? If you want to say that God doesn't think, then you have to say that no-one ever thinks. -

No-one, not even me. There's just "moving fingers" and it's freaky. -
@123456789 All of physics. Take Newton laws for example. They work only in a certain scale.

@Dovahkiin J. C. Stevens is for beginners. Get to the first Kriya Pranayama asap. After 1-3 months you can start doing advanced practices from SantataGamana book. -
I think he means what he says. Everyone has the same possibility. That doesn't equal capability. But with the right technology, like yoga, most of the people should be able to fulfill their spiritual goals. Not everyone has access to that technology though, so they lead unfulfilled lives.

Not to discourage you or something, you are doing a great job, but two hours a day is a minimum (it can be 2x 1-hour sitting). Otherwise, you will be saying: "I have not had huge benefits, I have actually realized that meditation brings subtle benefits." for years. You are ready to make that jump. If you are worried: "Oh, but I don't have time for that, when will I sleep?", then stop worrying. Your sleep quota will go down, maybe around an hour after a month of two-hours-a-day practice. And if you could fit one or two 7 day retreats throughout the year, that would be ideal. They really foster your growth. The sky is the limit, you can do it. -
This is the only workable solution. Say sorry to her for your weird behavior and maybe you will get back to ground zero. Or maybe not. Don't do it for her, do it for yourself. Admit you have f*cked up and move on.
