Other forms of violence other than physical violence. Even if no one raises a hand on your neglect is still a form of abuse so other man's inner kings in a libertarian society will neglect to take care of the most vulnerable people. Then there's the inner warrior that you see in online comment fights where people turn into keyboard warriors and will even go so far as to tell people to go commit suicide and they are better off dead online so they can cause big psychological harm to people. Then (we even have a form of it now) the shadows of these men will create a system so dysfunctional and devilish that when all the power is consolidated through resource gathering and a rigged economy and when shit hits the fan and people get so pissed at these corrupt devils and liars they will project and say you see "these people are violent and unreasonable they are violating the non-aggression principle" it's very easy to do that when you mess everything up in the shadows ruin people's lives in tricky ways where you're not "physically attacking them" yet, you are stacking all the cards against them in a tricky way and then talking about yourself as this non-violent benevolent savior of humanity. -

I agree if someone needs more than $1000 to survive because of circumstances not in their control I can understand that UBI can't replace the welfare state... YET a lot of people fall into the holes of the social safety net, hate the hoop jumping, and sometimes have to deal with institutions and case managers that are rude and harassing. It's a very paternalistic system. Also on the other hand there are people like me who feel stuck in a rut want to do something like start a business and/or a passion project but, we're in a constant state of breaking even or even making no money at all. This would provide a catalyst for people to be creators, inventors, and thinkers instead of wage slaves. On the other hand it'll also save people who feel stuck into joining a predatory MLM or a shitty job that treats them badly. So I wouldn't be too quick to call a UBI a libertarian trojan horse if it's opt in and really lets people concentrate on something more than being a wage slave. @Leo Gura I think you should read this https://medium.com/basic-income/there-is-no-policy-proposal-more-progressive-than-andrew-yangs-freedom-dividend-72d3850a6245 -

@Leo Gura Agreed. I was part of a community a while ago that was all about Autonomy and they named the name of their course with the same name. Unfortunately it became a breeding ground for anti-government hate. Then when I said that I was for Andrew Yang and UBI they started lashing out at me in the craziest ways possible. The entire community had an ego backlash against me. That makes me wonder though... How would they feel if someone took everything from them except their underwear dropped them in the middle of the jungle with 0 resources and 0 money and just told them to become a millionaire in a year. How libertarian would they actually be with an experience like that? -

Libertarians have a closed mind about everything else. Although I heard that the Libertarianism of Europe is not the same as the US. US Libertarianism is an extremely virulent and compassionless form of every man for himself where the rich and powerful do whatever the hell they want and the ones with the least resources can be their slaves and that's "true freedom" in their warped and/or uninformed minds. -
OK Well then in that case @Leo Gura what would you like to see in Yang that you see in Sanders? I really don't think they should be fighting instead they should be sharing their best ideas with each other. I just think that Sanders was good for the 20th Century and we've passed that Yang is good for the 21st Century but, that's just my bias and I understand that with in myself that's why I'm open to suggestions and other points of view.

I think though there's something that separates Yang from pure stage Orange people. He seems to have high EQ as well as IQ. It also seems that even if a person like Yang is a Silicon Valley type it's not like he's just going to let people who are technologically illiterate suffer and be left out of the rest of the economy like how Trump only gives a damn about Coal miners and Factory workers and not other struggling demographics.

@Joseph Maynor Agreed. If I were his strategist I'd probably do well. The problem with Yang is he's not willing to be confrontational but, I am and not confrontational in a way that you want to belittle and bully people but, in a way that you fight for what's right and makes sense, you call out fallacies etc. -

@Serotoninluv Yes. I've seen first hand people with high IQs who are extremely dogmatic, have no sense of nuance, and they're stuck in their ways. -

@Joseph Maynor And how's the schools teaching nothing about finances help? Easier said than done and if school is charging you money that you don't have but, you need the job to make the money to go to the school to have the education so the job hires you... You see how you just can't boil it down to something and make it too simplistic. -

In a corrupt corporate culture the CEO's would at least have the responsibility to see that their workers are not exploited and can at least make ends meet and not have to have 2 to 3 side hustles just to live comfortably. I don't think a person being exploited and overworked by inside a corrupt culture that's it's a failure of their personal responsibility. -

Right because in some situations people live in dysfunctional families and dysfunctional neighborhoods where the people around them aren't really that helpful we can't keep demonizing the government even though the government isn't perfect we have to zoom out and see the big picture not just look at things with our own lens. -

Actually UBI would get rid of the current bureaucratic structure we have an the straight cash would cut all the spending the bureaucrats get right now. -

@QandC Hej min kompis funny you should mention that because they last place I traveled was Stockholm. In fact if I could get out of the United States (which is becoming an asylum we had 2 mass shootings in less than 24 hours) I'd probably want to move somewhere which is either Australia, New Zealand, or the Scandinavian countries. Here in the United States it's very hard to get your first job now there are way too many people living in LA where I live and the social safety nets have gigantic holes in them. Here in the US you don't fall through the cracks you have a whole mess of people stuck in grand canyons. I was actually asking one of the hostel workers how differently education works in Sweden and he said you guys have something called gymnasium which is kind of funny because I doubt you learn gymnastics there. Anyway jokes aside I think if Andrew Yang doesn't win this next election the US is toast it's over and done with. With his UBI I can use that money to hopefully start a business invest in my Communications course and do something to finally get out of the financial rut I find myself stuck in. This is my YouTube page btw https://www.youtube.com/user/DrBakshandeh/videos?view_as=subscriber -

@Yog Can't wait for him to debate with all the libertarian channels conservatives etc. Or maybe that's taking it a bit too far they'd all get an aneurysm. I see you're new here when did you first hear of Leo? Also he had done some interviews with these dating coaches I forgot if he was interviewing or the one being interviewed. -

@QandC I like it because it creates a mindset of abundance as opposed to scarcity. As per your workforce question we have the incentives ass backwards the current welfare model pays you to NOT work if you work the money goes away. The Freedom Dividend model says you get the money no matter what and when you do work it doesn't go way. That's a way better deal for me. What country are you from by the way? -

Where did you get the money to buy that house and where did you get the job to make that money? Were you born rich or poor? Remember what Leo said what government would I want if I were reincarnated as someone different. It's so easy to look at this from YOUR point of view.
