  1. I don't mean any disrespect, but you really should turn off the news, stop reading this thread and go read a good non-political book until after Jan 20th. Your driving yourself nuts it seems.
  2. Most times it's a neurologist that orders this test. Not sure if she saw one, but also as someone said, some doctors are better than others.
  3. Well...I did it for you?, but you type the "@" sign then slowly start typing out the person's name, then you'll see options directly below to click on to choose the person. See screen shot below-
  4. You should tag him then, like this... @Leo Gura
  5. @OBEler She needs a EMG if she hasn't had one. "Electromyography (EMG) measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. The test is used to help detect neuromuscular abnormalities. During the test, one or more small needles (also called electrodes) are inserted through the skin into the muscle."
  6. Im shocked to hear "you" say this. I don't think you "really" believe ppl should be forcefully dragged to a shrink because someone else thinks they need help or have a mental illness,.. do you? Do you really think someone else should intervene like that ? I mean, its their life, right?...or that's what someone recently said to me. I know from experience they WON'T thank you! They will want your head on a platter! Seems ppl have to come to their own conclusions. If they ask for help that's one thing, but forcefully dragging them is something different. ..and you can't cure anyone, but yourself, so get over that dream. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.
  7. @Etherial Cat Hehe, yes, my fur is growing in nice and soft too.???
  8. At my work (home health agency) only 25% got the vaccine. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed in my fellow workers.
  9. No problem ? Got my vaccine on Friday and now I'm feeling fine. ....My tail is growing in nicely ?
  10. @Preety_India From CDC.gov "Based on evidence from clinical trials, the Moderna vaccine was 94.1% effective at preventing laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 illness in people who received two doses who had no evidence of being previously infected." From FDA.gov "The FDA has determined that the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine has met the statutory criteria for issuance of an EUA. The totality of the available data provides clear evidence that the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine may be effective in preventing COVID-19. The data also show that the known and potential benefits outweigh the known and potential risks—supporting the company’s request for the vaccine’s use in people 18 years of age and older. In making this determination, the FDA can assure the public and medical community that it has conducted a thorough evaluation of the available safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality information. The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine contains messenger RNA (mRNA), which is genetic material. The vaccine contains a small piece of the SARS-CoV-2 virus’s mRNA that instructs cells in the body to make the virus’s distinctive “spike” protein. After a person receives this vaccine, their body produces copies of the spike protein, which does not cause disease, but triggers the immune system to learn to react defensively, producing an immune response against SARS-CoV-2. " I haven't heard of ppl vaccinated becoming carriers of the virus, but everyone still does needs to mask up and social distance because the vaccine is not 100% effective. Be careful not to read random websites about the vaccines. Lots of rumors going around. I heard before I got the vaccine that if you took any nsaids (ibuprofen, etc) afterwards it would lessen the effect of the vaccine. So, I asked the health dept. When I was there and they said no studies have been done on that, so that was not valid/true information.
  11. Not sure if Pfizer is like Moderna, but they told us the entire vial (10 doses) must be used within 6 hours of uncapping the vial. They (the health dept) have ppl on a wait list at the health dept to fill in if ppl cancel there appt. I'm in Ohio, it may be happening faster then you realize. I'm in home health care and the health dept called our agency asking who would like a vaccine. I thought it would be awhile by the time they got to us. So, I was surprised. Sad thing was that out of 31 of us only 8 (including myself) were willing to get it.
  12. @Flowerfaeiry I got it too on Friday. The moderna version. The worst was the arm pain that was pretty intense the next morning (not the day of the vaccine) and for a couple days. Felt like a man punched me in the arm. Not kidding. Otherwise, my floppy ears are coming in nicely ?
  13. "Tears in heaven" "Bridge over troubled water" "Wind beneath my wings"
  14. On Friday, I had my first of 2 doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. The arm pain x4 days I had was the worst of it. Now, I feel fine.
  15. @Consilience I haven't been single in a million years, so I answered how I think girls now a days would think with social media and dating apps....which didn't exist back when I was single. However, back in my day, no one ever made me wait even 2 days after a date before I got a call.? Just sayin', but back then men were expected to act like men and make the first move before and after the first date, if they were interested. It was a women's job to make sure they chased them. ?
  16. If you don't like dealing with ppl, then your picking the wrong career. I have always had jobs dealing with ppl and it takes a lot out of you sometimes. I was a cosmetologist, a EMT and now a nurse. Maybe go volunteer at a soup kitchen for the poor. Sit and chat with the ppl and listen to their problems. If you can't handle it or hate it, then you have your answer. Just a thought.
  17. She will probably just move on. Like you said, girls have guys hitting on them on dating apps all the time. I'm old school, if a guy likes you he should follow up that first date with interest, not ignoring you for 4 days.
  18. I don't think changing your personality is easy. Personally, I think a lot of ones personality is conditioned, but maybe introverts can make good counselors? What do I know??
  19. I've walked out on jobs before...good jobs. It feels amazing, but then you have to figure out what's next pretty fast. Anyways, this time, I could step down, the transition just isn't complete yet. Funny thing is they should've offered me less money, but instead they kept me where I'm at (manager salary) and gave me a raise...lolol.? I will say I probably had 10 mini nervous breakdowns before I made the clear cut decision to step down out of this role.
  20. @soos_mite_ah Well, we had a MAJOR change at work that I find completely intolerable, so I gave notice at work that I was stepping down from my position as manager and honestly didn't think I could work more then a week or two in that job.. That was 4 weeks ago tomorrow. The new lady taking over my job doesn't start until next Monday, then I have to train her. Somedays, I don't know how I'm carrying on. If your situation requires change, then contemplate that. Otherwise, one day at a time...one hour at a time, one minute at a time! ❤
