  1. I see the point of sds as just being, not moving, or having, either body or mind.
  2. So what is the problem. It has always been like this! - except that you thought that this was real. You thought it was real by being in your mind/thought and believing it all as real, whereas in actuality all that was in thought. Now you are out of thought/belief and want to be back in it - so just imagine/think you are. What do you think all the rest of us are doing? - just this. It's just a play in consciousness/mind.
  3. Yes it it is impossible. Any situation is impossible, it is only possible by going into thought about it. So don't do that. All you do by thinking about yourself is situate yourself in thought. Thought is all there is to locate yourself in. You (and anyone else) in this world is simply in a thought creation. How else can you make this situation better or worse than by changing your thoughts about it - or better still, not going into them at all.
  4. I take SDS as simply being still for a certain amount of time. However I see self-inquiry as not being still, but inquiring. How do you see these if you do them both at the same time.
  5. Maybe true desire is not really a desire, it is simply the impulse/drive of freedom/liberation, the natural state... No one has this 'desire'. It is self, liberating itself, asserting/claiming it's own freedom, IOW being itself.
  6. It's pretty obvious, isn't it... i mean you like dreaming don't you... Now, I wonder what would happen if I....
  7. What about group meditation. The world benefits greatly from more stillness from the human.
  8. Could we say - What was previously considered negative may still happen but as nothing negative happens, it is positive. Then we could say - Without the negative, no need for the positive. Then - What need for control.
  9. I have been through something similar. Nothing is not as it should be. The stage you think you are in can last some time. You cannot speed up what is happening. Whatever is happening, just watch it. The more you get involved in/with it, the longer it seems to last and the more intense it seems to get. You as awareness are not involved.
  10. I am not going to define you. That would not help you. Discover yourself where you are.
  11. Suggest you study up on it.
  12. Great op @MrDmitriiV . Would it help if we called them visualisations...
  13. Could you clarify this please? I can't find anyone on this thread "selling denial"
  14. It is one method of meditation and a good one in my opinion. It is much easier once you recognise that it is not you (nor anyone else) that is in pain; that there is actually no one to be in pain. But perhaps before you have realised this, don't push too hard. (I did not find this method until I had realised this.) (or perhaps I was unconsciously doing this method in slow steps (not too much pain) and that helped the realisation)
  15. @Recursoinominado I am not clear on whose suffering you are primarily concerned about - yours or others. And is there really any difference? Look at suffering & what causes suffering. Isn't it thought? Your own thought?
  16. That illustrates where you are on the Spiral.
  17. You would not get angry if you did not think angry thoughts. Watch what you are thinking.
  18. It goes because there is no longer anyone to experience it. (Merely being aware of it is not experiencing it).
  19. @Feel Good You are taking all these helpful posts as unhelpful. Suggest you merely watch that.
  20. @TeamBills I presume you are doing strong determination sitting. I found it made a lot of difference once I realised that I am awareness (nothing) and remained as that whilst watching the pain. In due course the pain goes.
  21. Oh yes, it certainly becomes the overriding passion. Or it has here
  22. Reflecting on this, consequences are moot as there is no-one living in consequences. It is all as it is as it is. No one is measuring better/worse, good/bad... No one is anxious, attached to outcome, expectations. No one feels guilt, blame or pride. It is all just love in action/inaction. Nothing to like or dislike. It could be said that it is all the same, but its not as its all moving on, flowing, celebrating itself, continuously freeing itself - oh how lovely this is...
  23. I am also in the process of staying more and more in marinating. Marinating (in it) feels like there is no need to do anything that you don't want to do or feel like doing. It seems that it is increasingly moot whether something gets done or not. Consequences increasingly don't seem of significance.
