I have a similar problem. I don't know what the next step to take is, and it seems like I'm not good enough to pursue higher level goals yet. I think we need to clearly depict where we are right now, then see where we would like to improve.

I would want to live forever if it becomes possible. I believe this can be a high-consciousness value and a low-consciousness value (like sex). If one wants to live forever to pursue low values, they do not deserve it. Right now, I imagine that, if this was possible, I would be able to truly dedicate my life to learning, self-actualizing, and pursuing enlightenment, and right now, I'm trying to find the path from point A to B.

Hi, I'm 14, I am also pursuing enlightenment, but I'm starting by fixing a few other things in my life. I am currently working on my pornography addiction and a meditation habit. I believe that right now, I can do what I can to self-actualize to a point where I am ready for enlightenment.

I used to be addicted to video games as well, from about the time I was 11 to 13 or 14 (Last year). I tried making physical, external manipulations, but would always find a way to get back into it. The reason I stopped for good was that I realized a) how much of a time sink it is, b) how it makes me sad, and c) how it is like a self-inflicted wound, that takes more out of me for every moment it is indulged in. I believe that everyone needs to find their own powerful reason(s) as to why they should quit, also needing to be done differently for each addiction. I need to do this with my pornography addiction.

Well I believe that you need to realize how there is a lot for you to do before you reach truth, I don't know the extent of that however.

Yeah, at the time I am meditating and exercising, so I'm really just looking for more I can do to grow and self-actualize. I'll start looking into the whole instrumental thing, as a form of art, thank you.

So I have a problem with using free time correctly. I waste it on video games and television. What could I do to use this time correctly (other than homework and study)?

So I've been meditating since new years, 20 minutes every day, and I've been trying to use it as a way to help the process of ending my pornography addiction. I haven't really seen many results yet, which I believe is natural, as meditation has a curve, but when should I expect to see the meditation help me with this?

Yeah, I used to think that I would never relapse again, and I would, of course. Now I've realized that relapsing is a part of recovery, and I'm beginning to accept that it may take a long time.

In a lot of your videos that I've listened to, I've noticed that you keep mentioning how so many of us are addicted to stimulation. I think a video about how we should go about doing this would be nice. This could help people with problems such as addictions, bad habits, and getting a better source of pleasure.
