Get up at 6 am. Take a shower Meditate for 20 minutes. Eat Study a subject or do your homework until whatever time you leave for school. Come home and take a break until 6 (I usually take a nap,get something to eat and meditate if I feel the need for it) and begin studying. Bed at 9 or 10. This is my schedule at the moment as I have exams coming up 3 months from now. I would also walk my dog in the morning and just before sleep. Sometimes I slack off though and can't get myself into studying and my nap becomes a 3 hour sleep.

@Clay Curl That's a great way of looking at it actually.

I've done this twice now and have come to a realization. Cold showers put me right in the present moment compared to hot showers where I spend my time making life plans and shit. I'll miss my positive thinking and coming out feeling great. Yes I eventually felt good after putting my clothes on after a cold shower, but it wasn't quiet as pleasurable and saw little benefits. I also slept in an hour this morning because I couldn't bear the thought of a cold shower at that moment. I'm only 2 days in though so that could be it. I'll do the full week regardless..and might punish myself to a second week. Depends how I'm feeling after the first week. -

Hey, thanks for sharing this. As nuts as this guy sounds...it makes sense in a way. -
Hey I highly recommend checking out Cosmos by Carl Sagan.(Which is what Cosmos: A spacetime Odyssey was taken from) Altough a bit dated, it is still really great. It's a 13 part series btw and can be found on Youtube. I literally cried at this scene of our evolution. (Still makes me teary eyed.)

@Calmdown5 A lot of my friends began a family. I kind of sat back and watched them all settling down. I could almost see the energy being sucked out of them. starting a family drains people. The worst thing is is that they only knew their gf for about a year before having a child together. Waaay to early. My friends sometimes even tell me to stay single... My friends were stupid and settled down with someone they didn't even know. At this time in my life, I don't want anything to do with starting a family or even a girlfriend. (: Happily single till maybe 40...lol

Ayye, I'm gonna make this my temporary life purpose now..except 2 and 4.(Already have them down.) Thanks a bunch. I hope after I put all this in check or even during it, I can sit down and find my own life purpose without help. (:

Go see a doctor or something. It'd be bad to see you lose sight in your right eye because you didn't get it checked out because you thought it was a side effect of meditation. -
Give this a watch if you get the chance. (:

@Cabot You should try practice waking up. I've yet to actually put this to the test but apparantely if you practice waking up during the day you will eventually be able to wake up without a bother in the morning . It takes a lot of training though. -

I never understood the crystal thing. I just meditate with nothing because I feel crystals are a distraction. -
@VividReality There is something about that middle picture that I love, but can't quiet put my finger on it.

Hey. So I've been meditating for an hour a day for the last 3 months (30 minutes in the morning and evening) and have recently discovered Vipassana. I have signed myself up for a 10-day(for the hell of it) and am beginning to regret it as I've learned how hard it can be. I have already read a few experiences from other people and each are different in every way. I've heard that it is suppose to be really hard to sit but many people have come out of it feeling great while others gave up half way through. I remember Leo mentioning in one of his videos about isolating yourself for some time and watch your mind or something which is kind of similar in some ways to this retreat. Have any of you guys done one of these retreats and if so would you recommend it? Thanks.

@Jan Odvarko Yeah it's in Drogheda. Altough I can last half an hour cross legged, doing 10 hours a day cross legged might prove difficult. D: Either way I'm going to attempt it. 10 days is nothing...(I'll regret saying that haha) -
Waking up at 6am every morning. Reading Self Help books...watching self help videos. Quitting smoking cold turkey. (2 months off them now) Meditating every day....my friends call me weird because of this one. (I guess I couldn't really call them friends then)
