  1. I had a hot shower this morning. It was amazing. lol I've been reading this book about how we hypnotize ourselves. I found that the benefits of a cold shower can be similarly gained from a hot shower. In fact, a hot shower was giving me these benefits but I just didn't realize it/believe it. The book is called Psycho-Cybernetics. I'd suggest giving it a read. I assume you've heard of it or even have it. Either way...that cold shower you're taking every day is indeed benefitting you.
  2. Got this a while ago. Never got around to reading it yet. You got me looking forward to starting it now. Thanks man.
  3. Well then you must know that they have a business to run, right? (They're similarly being controlled by someone higher than them.) They don't control you for their own well being. (for enjoyment) And if you feel that is the case then report it to someone higher than them.
  4. I've worked in kitchens myself and have been pushed around too, but I wouldn't consider it bullying or even bad for that matter.
  5. I was reading "Flow" there and the author (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi) makes a good point about how meditation and the techniques used to reach full consciousness would have been more effective back then because of the cultural context and stuff...which kind of explains why the Zen temples off in Japan and other places exist. By the way, Mihaly is explaining why people ain't more conscious today as say in the Aristotle days etc.
  6. "Overall, like every other kind of music, heavy metal has some influence on peoples’ behavior. But there are highly significant individual differences. It may cause aggressive behavior in some people and it may provide relaxation in others. Even researches find some answers that there are no certain results for the harmful effect of heavy metal music."
  7. @RossE Nice story man. You're making me want to take them. Did you have any fears at all of a bad trip before taking them?
  8. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ My dog makes me smile...that's all I need.
  9. Yeah, those first few seconds are the worst. After they pass and your body gets used to the cold water it's not too bad. Good shit though...just another 25 cold showers. I'm with yah on this too. I've been having mine usually at 8 or 9am but by 1 or 2 pm that feel good feeling wears off a bit. I have to agree with this also.
  10. Today, I am grateful for doing nothing productive. I am grateful for waking up unmotivated. I am grateful that I am not letting it get me down and knowing that tomorrow will be a better day. I am grateful for Awomanaware suggesting to take up being grateful for stuff. Thanks. lol I almost feel instantly better now. Magic? I dunno...
  11. Hey, I need a small push in the right direction atm. I've been working at my job for 2 months now (full time/ 40 hours a week), but I've been thinking a lot about how happy I was when I was actually learning stuff in the 2 years course I did a few months back before this job. I don't mind my current job, but that craving is there every evening and I feel my job is slightly holding me back. I feel like I could achieve way much more and be way happier learning....life basically. When I get home, I barely have the energy to even think about learning. And when I go for my daily walk with the dog I get these thoughts that make me feel like my job is holding me back in some way. I could do part time (30 hours a week) but I'm just not to sure what to do. I will be with my team less with that type of change. And there kinda the only reason I can stand my job. So basically I'm at a stand still and need some help. Now I know you're gonna say "We can't help make your mind up for you", but I just need a slight push in the right direction here. When I get a weekend off, I spend some of it learning (mostly just relaxing after a week of work) and by Monday I kinda sleep in and have really bad thoughts about this job. Thoughts like "I might just call in sick" or "Fuck this, I don't need this job". I know everyone gets these thoughts on a Monday morning, but I'm just way more aware of my thoughts and kinda want to listen to these otherwise I'll never be happy. Also just to add, I have a meeting tomorrow with the "Youcouldbasicallycallhimtheboss" and another boss. It's basically a check up on performance and how I'm doing. Since I recieved the letter telling me the date of the meeting I kinda questioned myself as to "How am I doing?" and it's just been playing on my mind since. The only good thing is that I'm not depressed, stressed, angry or anything like that, but I'm not happy either. I'm just content with what I should do. So any videos or anything that will push me in the right direction? (Also I might need to check out Leo's videos again on Life Purpose and stuff, but meh...watching it again is not same) P.S Quitting my job is out of question...or is it...see I'm just not really sure...about anything. lol Thanks in advance.
  12. @tyy I'm not even half way through it yet as I kinda contemplate after each video about what I want. Slow and steady is the best way to go. When I think of weights and powerlifting, I like to think of my body as a machine or vessel and by lifting these weights, I am upgrading my body. But I don't really lift that much anymore. lol What I have found is that many people who do the course tend to go the self help route and want to help people that way because the course actually gets you to discover more about consciousness and upon discovering this they seem to think everything else is irrelevant. Or else the majority that took the course have followed Leo for a bit of time and have delved deeper into their consciousness so they took an early interest in that. For me though, I'm just gonna put that aside for a few years (I have an interest in it too, but not as strong as other areas.) and follow a different Life Purpose. @Loreena Thanks Loreena.
  13. @tyy Hey man. Yeah since writing that my head is so much clearer. Looking back now, I was just working for the money and wasn't a bit motivated. I got the Life Purpose course around Christmas and have been doing it since. I'm almost close to finding something that I want to pursue and am now ready to get back into work (to get a bit of money for college and stuff like that.) Also I hope to get an easier job than taking calls all day and listening to angry people giving out to me because their phones won't work. I feel ready now (almost) to begin my journey and it's all thanks to Leos course. <<<I got paid to advertise that. Nah What else are you passionate about and are you more passionate about it than the job you currently have?
  14. Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing. Look further into Egyptology and seeing what other potential areas that might interest me. But yeah, basic archaeology also interests me but I feel like doing archaeology in Egypt would be amazing. Like you said, I need to dig deeper and study more on it..
  15. But it'll be in a pizza world and it'll be a person in pizza form. I had more to say on this but I had to take a call and lost interest.
  16. Most dreams come from what you think about most. This person seems to be caught up on the thought of being angry so naturally when this person goes to sleep this person will dream about it. Then the same thing will happen the morning after this person has this dream
  17. You're thinking about your dreams to much. A dream is a dream and not reality. And you're probably thinking about being angry so much and not wanting to be that angry that it just ends up being in your dream. Basically, just stop thinking about it and it will stop being in your dream. Problem solved. lol
  18. Have you ever heard of Coral Castle? Apparently this guy found the way the pyramids were made and the stones were transported. But hey, I never dug any deeper than that.
  19. @tyy Glad it helped. I actually took a cold shower this morning for the first time in a few months. God, I missed that refreshing feeling afterwards and that feeling of achievement. It's like you're immune to any coldness afterwards.
  20. @brovakhiin Ah okay. I'm half way through it at the moment anyways. Edit: And done. So at the end he said that your mental bank balance goal doubles when you reach that goal in reality. Is that correct? Also when your mental bank goal doubles, do you double the hourly rate also?
