@Ramu Something you said rang true with me. You know the things that happen in your daily life, that are all slightly different, no "elevated" since you've been contemplating these things. For me, it's been an actual lift in mood and confidence and then from this flows all kinds of other things. It's weird that I've become a bit more capable of *clear thinking* when you learn to disassociate from thoughts. Just being grateful, and joyful. All these things you didn't expect. And I'm just the forum noob. lol

I'm with you on this Prabhaker. Do you know what, my whole life has been a meditation. I'm very lucky in this regard. Although I work long hours it's interspersed with lots of both thinking and meditation. I am also lucky in that I do what I want for work and I work from home, and it's mostly with my hands too, creative. Although I sound like a workaholic in my posts and there is some of that there, because I run the business so I have to take it seriously, but there's lots of play time right there in it. (I'm supposed to be working right now) I actually don't mean to sound frustrated with my progress, quite the opposite. I guess really it's a question, "am I on the right track", like the little boy that constantly pulls on his mothers apron, "mummy look at this, is this ok?", and there's that going on here too. In fact to come out of my "who am I?" experience the other day and feel energy emanating up from the seat of my pelvis through the spine and in a kind of confused moment thought, "I've never felt that before", and low and behold, you guys talk about it all the time on here. It's amazing. -

Yes, like a bull in a china shop. Yes there's an element of that. It's tempting to blame Leo due to us being in an achievement orientated forum, however I will take full responsibility... Many thanks for your help. BTW, there's a thread out there questioning if Kundalini actually exists, and I had that (and I don't know anything about it from literature). I had it that same time I felt sick and just afterwards, energy all up the spine and down. -

That's brilliant. Do you mind if I ask you a couple more questions as I think you may be able to help, but I'll make it just this message so as not to take your thread off course? My background, I work long hours but read this forum and some snippets of books all the time. I'm a slow reader though so that book has taken all year. I have to keep putting it down each paragraph and think about it. I also suffer tiredness so I only get about one shot a day at meditation about 11 am after a couple of coffees. Any other time I fall asleep. (I fall asleep on bus, in waiting room, anywhere). But I've had a couple of mind expanding things occur which are really weird and 1 time I found complete bliss which was amazing. I am also getting real euphoria listening to music as a side product of all this. I also completely learn how to become completely aware in my garden which is fantastic. Now to take this further I tried self enquiry. The type where you analyse questions, I just don't get. I'm waiting for a voice to come back to me with the answers and none does. If I'm supposed to think up an analytical answer to the question, then I have no way of confirming it's accuracy and I could be inventing answers that are simply wrong. So I switched to the other type of self enquiry (don't know where I read about this) where you ask "who am I", and "who is it that is having this thought", and similar questions. After about 15 minutes I started feeling real sick and my mouth was filling with saliva. I thought it was a glass wall I needed to go through so kept pushing it but then fatigue and boredom also crept in and after 5 or 6 pushes I was thwarted and had to stop. But before I did stop my questions turned to mumble, like not of any language. Weird hey? I just wondered if you knew where was the best direction to go next, what with the difficulty I have meditating and my confusion over self enquiry. Any thoughts at all are really appreciated! -

Can someone help me with this topic a bit further please? Sometimes you feel like you have been *asleep* in some activity or work. Ands further, when reading on this forum and pondering my awareness, I seem much more aware. Further to that, I seem to be able to spend some time *concentrating* on being aware but it's not automatically easy and the mind want to creep off again while you are not looking. So what is it that keeps you aware, bearing in mind I've not had much of the "big shift" yet? -

You can't deny that war exists in our current world and so it is a valid part of our experience. -

Yes, ok good point, although my answer is coming from the view that you have to go out there and find everything out for yourself, including your child. And you know, everyone on here harps on about "finding things out through direct experience." Somehow you want to bypass this for your child? -

I'm driven to keep reading this thread because I may find out who is this "Steven Georgiou" and, how do I get "smooth skin" -

They sell padded head cushioning for your toddlers now so that they can bang their heads to their dear hearts content without any ill effects!!! Can you see the problem with this? -
Hope you are remembering to live a little, and HAVE FUN!

@DrMobius Mine were £600 but there again it's not for weighing 5MeoDMT, it's for my work. You can get some good ones around the £100 mark. Like I said before, it's all well and good if the increment is good, but if you have to stick the phone book on it to get it going, well...
-
Just be aware that cheap scales from China that say they are a 0.01 scale doesn't mean they can weight a single item weighing 0.01. They just mean the increments are 0.01. You need to invest good money in a scale that can weigh 0.01.

Well I'm a "seeker" too, like you, but I can spot your issue I think. You are putting so much emphasis on enlightenment, that not only does it cause you to act in this awkward way with regard to others, but it would put a massing dam in the way of you ever achieving Enlightenment in the first place. You see, we pretty much have to forget the whole "concept" of enlightenment before it's ever possible. Let all concepts drop away.

I had a spontaneous occurrence of this while contemplating which I posted about. It was just a one off thing, but very dramatic. I think I read somewhere is it is possible to be enlightened as a gradual process and not some amazing "flash" or such like. Certainly, when I think back to my younger years, I seemed to have been in some dreamlike state, if not asleep. However I don't know if I confuse that phenomena and maybe everyone feels like that about their childhood, or 20's for example. -

Mine is just a "Cabbage White". lol -
Take a look at how a person could be brought up brain-washed or in a religious cult or a sexual prisoner in some freaks cellar, and you'll see people build their own ideas of happiness. This is all I am adding to the conversation about this; happiness is subjective and something created by the mind completely disparate to the surroundings.

"Here you go uncle, I went and got the accommodation section in the paper for you to help you!"

You got me thinking *ha dangerous lol* Maybe, if an awareness or consciousness appeared in pure random energy like static, the first thing it would conceive to understand it's surroundings would be to connect some dots, draw some lines to find patterns. And further, in an infinite universe full of random static, it's possible that this world we live on was entirely made up of and indeed, a "facet" of that random static because we are the emergent randomness of that energy. And I don't mean the initial makings of such an Earth but actually all of what we think of as history unrolling and me sat here folding up bits of paper and typing on a forum when I should be working.
-
If we exist in infinity... then surely there is another planet similar to this one, but the numbers are just a bit different so numerology doesn't work, the "lay-lines" are out of kilter and coincidences you saw simply didn't happen and others may have done. So... why the fascination with these things, when our planet is just one of a random series?

Yes agree fully. And it also loved crutches and that's why we have millions of people on SSRIs, Citalopram (Celexa), Escitalopram (Lexapro, Cipralex), Paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat), Fluoxetine (Prozac), Fluvoxamine (Luvox), Sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral). Glad to pack these up 3 - 4 months ago. Not suggesting people with serious conditions pack up medication spontaneously without due diligence. -
