@MiracleMan Hey, can relate. My key to quieting the streaming thoughts was to begin/continue guided meditation. There are many audio/vids available thru youtube but this is my go-to meditation man when I'm stuck in my brain. 20 minutes focused on just breathing... Another one evoking self love... Keep going, you're not in this alone.

Was not sure where to post, figured I'm requesting any suggestions or insights into ssri medication withdrawal and thought I'd start here. Gotta get the f off this horrible crap, Trintellix. The stuff is poison, now weening myself off as per my psych dr and having moderate wd. Dizziness, mild brain zaps, nausea, sleep issues, classic wd syndrome stuff. Often wondered if the pharma designers did any self-studies.,,prob half the stuff out there wouldn't make into the public domain. Anyway, just thought I'd ask around this forum, see if any of you had success in reducing the symptoms of wd through nutrition, supplements, therapies, etc. Looking forward to your replies!

@Shin "it will quiet itself"...what if doesn't? -
@Dingus Understood.

So, don't worry so much about how it got there and freak when it surfaces, just accept it all?

@Martin123 Thank you for your replies/suggestions and have added all these pcs into my life. Now at my base-line, I'm finding it extremely challenging to reduce the constant state of "monkey brain" and psycho babble I experience without the ssri numb out. After consistent meditation the past 7 months, I have reduced my stress levels but find a cloud, sometimes extremely dark, of negative self-talk. I often freak because I didn't think it was possible for me to think such horrible shit. So damn challenging to get myself to a place of resonance seated in self-love, acceptance and a sense of calmness. Cont...

@Prabhaker What would be the purpose of the meth poster? Does not relate or pertain to her questions to the forum about altering one's personality. Strange response.

Prob some of the same reasons others are on Leo's forum. BTW, it's a community forum. Why I initially registered was to connect with like-minded persons and felt Leo conveyed some great insights. Still believe so. I am aware of this and there's potential for dangerous consequences from his encouragement/endorsement. Plus, his drug use is illegal. Folks gotta be cautious. Have not heard of any long lasting effects when taking pysch drugs, maybe a memory recall or something? -

Are you fucking serious? That's your reply to take an illegal drug? How old are you, 13? You do know that the your lil psychedelic doesn't sustain or create any long-lasting effects and may not even get you some "enlightened" bs, the shit could back fire on ya. Serious shit in the clouds going on here. Maybe I should move on. Damn. -
You're making an assumption in your comment, is this YOUR personal experience or have you decided this will be everyone's experience? I was just wondering how you, Shin, know that this will be his experience? Dropping of a "mask" does not necessarily mean one will feel isolated, lonely, horrible.

TJM1959 replied to Hero in progress's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Eckhart Tolle speaks to an interpretation of the evolutionary development of this thing called ego. He suggests that at one time the ego did not exist, as a species, we lived in complete harmony with each other and every living thing on the planet. The ego began to develop because the human being began thinking more about himself than others, turned inward so to speak. The "false construct" you mention manifested, grew into a thought stream that created thought then action against, anti, became self-serving and internal. It is false because it was made up, was not of an original true nature of being harmonious and connected, designed to serve another purpose, self preservation. I have no clue if this be the truth but it may allow us/me to see that at a cellular level, we do have a true nature. Maybe we ain't as "doomed" as I think we are? -

@Hero in progress Nah, ain't gonna happen. Too confusing, but good luck. -

Holy shit, couldn't agree more! Something is distorted and it ain't me. Most troubling about some of the posts I read is a subtle but concerning issue of ownership. I guarantee that if in the context of sharing, a person would replace the word "you" with the word "I", the level of ownership and responsibility and possibly insight would elevate. Dang and thank you! -
@PetarKa Completely understand you. The power you now have is to begin to look at your core belief system. Do not label/assess it as good, bad, dark, etc. Examine it as an observer and begin to notice what you say about yourself. What am I telling myself about this right now? Leo's video addresses a possibility that we don't have free will because we learned/heard some stuff early in life, made it a truth somehow then create experiences to support that belief/truth. Yup, we all have done it. Now the work we get to do is to unlearn some of these beliefs or filters we designed and put into place. You do have free will. Free will is about choice. A question is...based on the results in my life and the belief I have made up, am I willing to hold onto this belief or let it go? Does this belief serve me, yes or no, then you choose differently. The rigor is chunking it down to something you can understand, get your brain around avoiding the messiness of judgement and assessment. Not an easy task today because it's surrounded/connected by life experiences. You have free will at every moment, it means you have choice in the matter, in all matters. Your depression is possibly about seeing no choice, creates a sense of hopelessness resulting in depression...this is a symptom/consequence/result. I have a choice to pay or not pay my taxes, I take action, I create consequences. I pay my taxes, or move to another country or go to jail. Stupid analogy?

Is it possible to commit or recommit yourself to the possibility that breaking up this pattern of the self-feeding-cycle is very doable, you have the strength and determination and your result will create a transformative experience(s)? All the issues you expressed speak to being stuck, stuck in a cycle, I'm familiar. What it's going to take from you is a relentless pursuit to recreate another experience around who you are and who you think you are. From this point moving forward, be committed to stopping the self-beat up, know you have crystal clarity, you are real and deeply profound, you are unique, put a foot into the passionate river of love and know it's closer than you think. Not preaching but living proof here. So doable, pick one thing and start. Different action is required. Again, very doable. Peace to you.

I'm confused here, do you have an issue with masturbation? What are these replies addressing in his post about depression and do these comments even apply to his question? I didn't get a single message about masturbation in his "Tired of Life" post. Very weird or did I miss something? He asks if "anyone else feels that way" not about jerking off.

You continue to make blanket statements within this forum suggesting you just want to be right. An idea, why don't you educate us on the subject of morality, ya know, the right and wrong stuff. I'll "shut the fuck up" up now and wait to learn from you!
-
Could it be that people do get it? That we are educated? FYI, even your lil puter you sit behind is linked to a by-product of animal based production/manufacturing. Animal based fossil fuels made those lil letters you push down to make all your words come to life. Your lil assessments re ignorance and spoiled brats carries no weight, just assessment. Accusatory and trolling, go away.

Wouldn't that suck,,,we implode somehow, self-destruct, like a collective sabotage. Not being all doom and gloom but our collective consciousness seems off rail, reactionary, mostly self-focused. How can life serve me versus how can I be in-service. Just my noticing, dang it. -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbj4nLOPN8o Click on this link above, when the video plays, close your eyes and really listen, if need be, play it twice. You may receive some insights into what and why you are experiencing what you are, today. I listen his messages on a regular basis, amazing.

My concern is that, collectively, it will not. Embedded systemic issues. Its been documented thru research/study that the suffering will only force/drive one to generate more sex, fame, money, etc...not enough, more of the same. I wish I knew what would have us wake the fuck up and live in appreciation. So much more work to do, but for now, all anyone who subscribes to this work, especially here, can do is get themselves in amazing shape. Be the inspiration and change you want to see in the world. Will it happen in your or I's lifetime, maybe not. And, we have the full right to aspire to absolute greatness within our selves and create it in others. Off my soapbox now. -
TJM1959 replied to Stoica Doru's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Ok, would deff agree to smell of bullshit! There's power in transparency, observation and paying attention. The value of being an "observer", let's see how this generation manifests itself. -
TJM1959 replied to Stoica Doru's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
What evidence do you have to prove this blanket statement? Not necessarily true, "younger people" just have different focuses/conversations, not more awakened, I may suggest a bit more self absorbed, mildly narcissistic, and less tolerant than their prior. -
Not true. Where do assumptions enter in the domain of self-less service or giving of oneself to another? An "assumption" can only be applied if one is to "give to get". So what are the tricks or traps, delusions, toxicity, conflicts here? This entire paragraph has assumptions written all over it. Your attempt at linking/intertwining selflessness and selfishness just ain't happening here. Jargon. What are you talking about here? Makes no sense. Generalized.

Nice, way to be understanding. Not what she is doing. If this forum facilitates her getting her ass in another direction or a sliver of insight, let her whore away! Sorry, too late. Keep going, you're on a roll!
