I did not take 5-Meo but I took plenty of acid in the past. If I had set myself up to believe (through implied conclusions and leading questions) that the only truth is that I dont exist and I am awareness etc then I would likely have the experience you had. I am happy to accept that I could be completely delusional, can you say the same thing or do you think that you've discovered The Truth? by getting rid of brains you're getting rid of the only way to cast doubt on your experience.

With all due respect, you indoctrinated yourself into believing this through selective readings, drugs and meditation. You don't like debates, logic, the scientific method, the law of non-contradiction and critical thinking. Basically all the tools that we use to make sense of our world and distinguish between quackery and reality. The final obstacle was the brain because one could always claim that this is all happening in your head and so you got rid of that too. Seriously, you took a drug which affects your brain to determine that it does not exist.

Do not forget that there are people like myself who have tried drugs including acid. I had good and bad trips depending on a range of things including the environment and company I was in. That's it, just my (non-existent) brain doing crazy things like when I'm dreaming for instance. It all seems very real until the trip is over. There is an anti-malaria drug called lariam which has caused several people who took it to think they are God and that this is all a dream. Sound familiar?

Psychedelics are also part of the illusion then. Why believe one part of the illusion (toad squirt) but not another (science, which enables us to have this conversation right now instead of meeting face to face)?

Fair enough but on youtube you did refuse to give me all your money on account that money is needed for survival in this dream :-) so its important to you as well or you would give it all away as meaningless. Do you see my point? if this is all a dream and you figured out the ultimate truth and you are God who made himself forget etc then why don't try levitating instead of hoarding worthless symbols on paper? When I lucid dream for example I try and fly, I don't sit around trying to get rich. Second, if everything is relative, why can't truth be relative? is the idea that there is only one ultimate truth not your new paradigm ? Third, your position (like that of science) has evolved on certain things with the time. For example, you did not always believe that brains did not exist. You even said at some point that westerners did not use a certain part of the brain enough as I recall. It is therefore possible that you could be wrong on this and that your position will also evolve. Are you open to this possibility as well ? Finally, don't take this as some personal attack. You have helped me enormously and I am not in any claiming that you are a fraud or anything like that. I am saying I think you are wrong on this.

It's a bad trip because you have a brain and you exist and you were in bad psychological state. Nothing mystical here. I'm afraid, what they call "enlightenment" will simply be another type of trip. It's all in the brain.

These people have a dark side, his girlfriend killed herself and was introduced to coke and other drugs by him. There is plenty more. I am increasingly distrusting of all these so-called awakened people. They can end up being much worse then us "egoic" regular lifeforms.

I have a similar problem, in fact the number one problem for meditation and enquiry has been falling asleep. The only good advice I saw on this was Leo's (take naps before meditation) but its not always practical. I try to do most of this stuff early in the morning and that has helped a bit.

Moojy says in one of his videos that we are a blend of ego/mind and consciousness. That seems to be a bit more concrete than "nothing"? and what is an illusion? what does it contrast with since nothing is real and even the only thing "real" is nothing?

Why will you never know? since you can become "God" by taking psychedelics, cant you gain access to this knowledge given that you're an infinite being?

You tricked yourself yet you knowingly put some substances that can help you remember who you are in strange places, such as on toads.

Is it possible that there are infinite truths since its all infinite? In other words, you or someone else may experience a slightly or completely different truth? Could truth be relative?

Finding a job is pretty easy if you're computer scientist or an engineer. However for social sciences people its actually quite difficult. I have managed to find a well paying job in this field and I have contemplated quitting in order to pursue self-actualization, spirituality but what keeps me here is FEAR of not being able to find other work and support my family. I also like what Im doing but it is keeping me from doing more work on myself. End of rant :-)
