  1. It is not possible to zoom in forever in space, according to the most widely accepted modern physical theories. Were one to try to peer into a space smaller than the planck length, one would need to focus too much energy in too small a space until a black hole is created. The common misconception though is that this means that nothing is going on at scales smaller than the planck length. This is NOT what quantum mechanics teaches us -- it has nothing to say about what is going on at such scales. In fact, there ARE some results in physics that use distances smaller than the planck length (for example, the change in radius a black hole undergoes when swallowing up 1 extra bit of information is far smaller than a planck length). It is entirely possible that there are whole universes, perhaps unimaginably different from ours, that if we COULD zoom in (which we can't) would reveal themselves. Maybe even these universes have an effect on our universe, but since they are too small to be seen we pass them off as "quantum weirdness". There being stuff going on at these ever smaller and smaller (and larger and larger) scales makes more intuitive sense to me, personally. However these questions may forever be beyond the reach of science and technology. The wise man that talked about time being eternity filtered through thought and space is infinity filtered through perception is Rupert Spira. His books and teachings and videos are highly recommended, and some of the most no nonsense pointers to Truth I've ever come across. And even if they don't lead you to Truth, they are very practical, comforting, and beneficial to put into practice. I might try to dig up a video or two where he uses that quote. As for the illusory nature of space, you said it -- we are always HERE. Try taking your finger and pointing it at a distant object... then, slowly move your finger towards your eyes. Naively we could say it is traveling through space. However, it is just as plausible to say that your visual field is a screen, and the finger is simply taking up more and more pixels as it gets closer to you.... Try it!!!
  2. For when you don't have access to nature and animals to 'watch' : http://zoneout.tv/index.php/critter-selector I especially love to watch the cows grazing
  3. Mindfully read, write, listen to music, watch a good tv show / movie, exercise, long walk, lay out in the sun / nature, play a sport, socialize, cook and eat some good food... Bonus points for working on a creative hobby and getting in flow state
  4. If I can think about nothingness a bit more and reason my way into it... First book (I think) on the enlightenment section goes on to talk about how everything is Nothingness. For example, an apple is Nothingness. If Nothingness were somehow different from an apple then it would have that quality and be that which is different from an apple. Clearly, True Nothingness is not a blank state, empty space, non-existence, or anything that can be captured by a word, including Nothingness. I.e. there is a truth which is incommunicable and Nothingness is merely a pointer, albeit a favorite of mine. Additionally, clearly there is "something"... I mean here we are. I have difficulty reconciling this with my thoughts that there should be nothing (blank state, non existence, conventional nothing). This makes me think (sorry for thinking) that true Nothingness must be identical to Absolute Infinity. All that can be "imagined", any possible object of awareness, exists in potential. Okay I'm gonna go forget all this and let go of and transcend all concepts for a while.
  5. Don't try to "master" playfulness, in some methodical way. That's taking it way too seriously. Appreciate that you will one day die (you self, not you Self) and all of your effort and striving will have been for nothing... Lol!!! Don't take things too seriously. And of course, as with most things... consciousness work can help.
  6. Agreed (despite recommending contemplation of it -- which can help get a logical mind interested). Ultimately one must empty their mind and let go of all effort and striving.
  7. No problem! I haven't yet realized it in the depths that Leo seems to (have just watched about first 20 minutes of Hawaii mindfuck video so far... Lmao damn this 5 meo sounds nuts) as well as sages enlightened masters etc, but I've definitely had some brief glimpses of nothingness / void, maybe. And my intuition is telling me there is definitely something there. Or rather, nothing. Problem is, it's scary. But I believe if you can get past that it is infinitely peaceful and fulfilling, and is home.
  8. All of this af. And haritaki seems to be great for digestion and elimination as well. May also be having more vivid dreams with it but can't pin it down to just the haritaki (have used it like 5 times).
  9. Really sit and contemplate how there could be something rather than nothing. There can't be. If you think about it, short of magic (which is itself something), there shouldn't be anything. What would be used to create it? What makes a "thing" exist? Is it nothing? Then nothing would have the quality of creating things and thus be something. What does it even mean to exist? According to whom does a thing exist? Where and when is everything? What holds everything together, and provides it with being and existence? And yet, here we are, seemingly talking about something and nothing.
  10. Synchronicity is real. I recently had an ego-death experience performing kriya yoga. Several nights later I had a dream (if that is indeed what it was) where I was "walking in nothingness". Suddenly I heard an intense high pitched ringing sound, felt like I was about to die, surrendered, and heard the word "Upanishads" whispered to me. I had briefly heard the word before but didn't consciously know what it was. It turned out to be group of religious Hindu texts full of insights I had recently had and been thinking about (Atman is Brahman... Or the ground of your self's being is the same ground of all reality). It seemed really crazy to me, and more and more synchronicities have been occurring sense. Bottom line, Kriya Yoga gets you woke af (done properly and with good meditation foundation).
  11. Check out the Online Course: A Brief History of Humankind - Yuval Noah Harari on YouTube.
  12. What made it click for me was that it's "like a yawn, only you breathe through the nose". Rather than having perfect form, I'd just start by doing it as best as you can. 20% of the effort yields 80% of the results. Fantastic way to breathe mindfully.
  13. Have yet to watch the others but that last video is sick af, I've wanted to watch the full "Just Move" documentary / episode. Moving makes everything better. Also the beginning background song is one of my favorite all time: "Stone in Focus" by Aphex Twin. Perfect song to breathe to.
  14. Huge fan from what I've seen, it's a bit out there but I agree entirely with the notion that "reality is free to manifest itself in infinite variety", and that a key to living the good life is to quit placing over-importance on things (it's very important to stop finding things important ). It's the difference between an athlete whose focused on the process and whose happiness is independent of outcome, versus one who cares sooo much about doing well, that he psyches himself out. Or a person trying to break a bad habit / accomplish a goal who cares sooo much about it that they self-sabotage. Or a boyfriend who cares soooo much about his relationship with his girlfriend, that she loses interest. Happiness comes from within and nothing external will ever fulfill you! Ego keeps asking what's next, how can this be better, and fears losing external sources of happiness to the point of not even being able to enjoy them. And even if you got everything external you could ever dream of, you won't for very long. There's a lot more neat info about souls and pendulums and such that I'd need to refresh myself on before attempting to describe... but highly recommend checking it out if you're interested!
  15. Word. Honestly, I "think" that's what this path is largely all about. Transcending your thoughts, or at least seeing them for what they are.
  16. Rationalists post Newton: everything follows our human intuition! Rationalists post modern physics: these are just useful theories and have nothing to say about the metaphysical nature of reality!
  17. Dogma, conditioning, fear of the unknown, closed mindedness, unwillingness to introspect (not to bad mouth them). Additionaly, rational thought is extremely powerful and useful, so it's easy to think that it is the ultimate answer to all our questions. But taken to its extreme, (like in Gödel's incompleteness theorem), rationalism can be shown to be limited, and to be incapable of fully encapsulating Truth. And the way I see it, there is simply no way to rationally explain that there is anything at all (or that I'm "me" rather than someone / something else). How could you explain it? "Oh there's something because there can't be nothing". Why not? Who says so?
  18. Very important point! I've never gotten any of my levels checked, that would probably be a really good idea for me to do. And almost exclusively you want your "supplements" to be actual food, not synthetic vitamins and minerals. And you want them to be just that, supplements to a healthy diet. The only exceptions for me currently are magnesium and vitamin d. However, vitamin d is best gotten from the sun (such a potent mood enhancer), and I could probably stop taking magnesium and instead just continue eating / eat more spinach, nuts and chocolate (especially raw cacao), and just continue relaxation exercises. And even then, supplements should be used sparingly (something I haven't done a great job of historically). And watch out for those b vitamins, in excess they can exacerbate anxiety. And who wants that!
  19. The random voices is always weird to experience, definitely hypnagogic. Something about your brain turning off the part that realizes it is you doing the thinking, or something (not that brains exist or that it is ever really you doing the thinking ). Nothing to worry about though! Good sign that you're getting into deep meditative states (not that you can't go deep without such phenomena).
  20. Is it accompanied with the feeling like your head is about to implode? And maybe high pitched ringing? Cause I get that sometimes, especially in the middle of the night.
  21. It's often more about what you don't eat vs what you do eat. Getting rid of any and all junk / processed foods is an amazing start. My personal opinion and recommendation would be to include the eggs (hopefully high quality, from healthy and happy chickens). They're incredibly nutrient rich, and ensure that you're getting high quality protein with the amino acid profile your body needs. Of course, many on this spiritual path would say absolutely no animal products are necessary (some might even say all you need is air). I sympathize with this notion, and one thing is certain: animals are feeling creatures and deserve to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. But that being said, if all you ate were, say, whole chickens (organs skin bones and all), you would have all the nutrition you require and thrive. If all you eat are plant foods, you run into possibilities of nutrient deficiencies, require supplementation, and even run into possible allergies and plant food toxins. Anyways, if you include eggs alongside with plenty of natural, whole plant foods, and PLENTY of healthy fats (very important), you'll be good to go. Something like this but replace the "meat fish and eggs" section with just eggs (or don't) would be an excellent diet.
  22. Perhaps psychedlics, if you feel ready for them and it sounds right for you? (And definitely easing into them). They can put on display and make very clear to you all of the habitual thought patterns that lead to the panic attacks. Of course, they can definitely induce panic attacks while you're tripping, but I've found that exposing myself to and facing that fear makes me feel much better for it afterwards, like a cathartic release. And it's like, well after that sheer terror, daily stresses and anxieties feel like nbd in comparison. It's a good way to safely and privately investigate the root causes of the panic and fear. (Not that a trip necessarily has to result in such negative feelings). I've also found microdosing to be very beneficial in managing stress and anxiety, especially mushrooms. I always feel more (manageably) anxious when "coming up" during this "micro trip", and then feel much more relaxed, at peace, empathetic and self accepting, happy, etc afterwards. And it can definitely supercharge your consciousness work, yoga, meditation practices etc. I'll also add that if you're feeling anxious, you are likely placing over-importance on something. Try to practice "not caring", and fully accepting the moment as it is (even feelings of anxiety), and "letting go and giving it up to god". You can even thank your "higher self" for the anxious feelings, "like oh thanks higher self for giving me this feeling, this is just what I need to guide me into the right direction. What a great challenge to overcome." And definitely work on optimizing your moving, eating, sleeping, and breathing. Good luck and best wishes!
  23. Be aware of your devilish tendencies. Contemplate death. Read / watch stuff about the cosmos. Practice gratitude
  24. This is one I have actually not tried, but sounds legit from what I've read. Not to hijack the thread but I just ordered some "haritaki"... have heard it called the BEST food for yogis. There's been a few comments about it on the forum too, sounds pretty powerful. Perhaps we can compare results
