  5. @Shiva Artificial is a very large field and there is a lot of different approach you can take to make an intelligent program. I obviously like AI (based on how i'm coming off) for now. I actually study it and Symbolic artificial intelligence is where the real fun is. When i say AI i mean a machine that is self-aware.

  7. I think to get the answer/discussion you want, you should tell us what you mean when YOU say "enlightenment" and "enlightened person." Think about this - your brain is an organ. Do you consider yourself to be an organ? - When you take a closer look at the brain you will find that its made up of cells. i believe what creates consciousness is the electrical and chemical process that takes place in the brain. The processes Creates it; Awareness. The thing is we can replicate these processes using modern technology. Thus the raising in Artificial Intelligence.
  8. @ajasatya self-observation is the key but to get to that level would pose a challenge if you don't know how to go about it. @Akshay i would recommend start by identifying your habit: first identify the ones that you can't break (have little control over) write those down both good and bad. good - meaning that it affects your lifestyle positively Bad - means it affects your lifestyle negatively the bad ones are the ones you need to focus on those are the ones that are causing in the problem. list them in order of the most conscious/control to least. Change the ones you have more control over first ( top of the list ) its easier. What i mean by changes is - accepting it stop feeling negatively towards it Topics to focus on motivation - self motivation and other types social interaction - online is a start build social circle meditation - there are all types of meditation techniques: you can go into that a little more use a journal (finance/work/random)to keep track of your actions read a lot of self help books for the time bean, get use to books try audio book too Get a Role model more than one if can whether from history or real life .... Someone that you thinks have or is doing something great with their life and you would like to emulate ....... Also focus on things outside of yourself.
  9. @Dodo the point i'm trying to make is no one gives a fuck (excuse my language) just think about it morality (Whats good are or bad) has nothing to do with smoking. ..............I'm actual pretty calm I smoke because i find it beneficial .... beneficial equal Good THINK ABOUT THIS - Who decides whats good are bad........??? You do Your alcohol addiction is only good if it you truly believe it is. Bad if you truly think its bad. How would I consider something good: If your not hampering anyone or the environment at large at carryout their natural/desired function. And this is from a moral stand point. And Again if something prevents you from committing suicide personally i would consider it to be good. Would love to hear you response
  10. From my personal experience i would say that you should study psychology and philosophy. Psychology will help you to identify all the disorders within yourself. Philosophy will help you to related to people and the world at large. Time - if you do enlightenment work like meditated, self enquiry it should take less time. Give it a year and you should definitely see results. Read self help books, listen motivation speeches and try to socialize. Books - seasons of life. the Five Major pieces of the life puzzle. My favourite philosopher is Allan Watts. He has a lot of interesting topics. I will try to get back to you with some specific topics if your interested.
  11. @The Monk @Prabhaker nothing really has a meaning; bad or good. only the meaning you assign to it. I would consider smoking a good habit if it stops you from contemplating suicide. but one can consider it a bad habit if your a ten year old kid with your future ahead of you.
  12. @bazera Believe it or not this is due to self hate, You literally hate yourself. Deep in our sub conscience we hold all kinds of memory/trauma that shapes how we view our self. you can also research social conditioning and why we people please.

  16. Self-hypnosis is a good way to go. try different hypnosis techniques (plenty on YouTube) and do it as much as possible for 3 weeks and that should give you a glimpse of what your searching for. research mindfulness.

  18. Any side you take, it would be interesting to read your reason for taking which every side. I Personally don't think we have free will. (open to all views/beliefs) Reason be: We don't have control over any of the circumstances that leads to changes in our life. So therefore how can we control the end result. We Literally Don't Have Control over anything. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................... People tend to agree that they dont know how their body function/operate; they might have an idea but they dont know the mechanics behind their action. So if it is the case were we genuinely don't know how our body operates, why do we believe that we're in control? Would really like to hear different views on this topic.
  19. @Galyna that was an amazing video thanks for sharing learnt a lot , but it seems to that your holding it as a belief? when I change my belief about something life changing I really find it exciting, Remember that every belief no matter how exciting and true you may believe it is; at the end of the day it just another thought floating around in you head.

  21. @Principium Nexus Good question, I personally believe that it depends on your level of development, at my current state even though i know logical that i can control how i interpret the actions done by others, its still really difficult to put it in practice. So to answer your question. Not at my current level and in a sense its kinda frightening to imagine that I will not feel distress when my family and close friends die if i continue to develop myself. But I believe if you do become actualize you will have control over your emotions (Which first you have to realize that you in fact can not control them.)
  22. @Nahm In the Literal sense of the word "Never." Don't get me wrong i do believe i am in control of my life even after realizing this truth and i am still fighting with the idea of Literally not having control of my body and thoughts, but its the truth. Its accepting the fact that we behave mechanical. if you are using your mind at anytime even when pursuing enlightenment, it means that you are not in control, some mechanical process is controlling you. Its really fun because everyone seem like a robot, its getting to the point where i find it difficult to get annoyed by people.
  23. @PureExp To tell you the truth, I really think it matters. Because in everyday life we tend to believe that we have control over our actions. And it well cause a lot of confusion, it can even alt our development. We means, majority of humanity.
