  1. Yes, 25ug of LSD is more like a mini-dose than a microdose for all but the most hard-headed. My microdose is around 5ug, but try around 10ug and go from there.
  2. I think it's a lot better to work your way up slowly like Leo said, and make sure you're comfortable with your doses as you proceed. If you're unsure if you're going to be able to handle the dose, halve it. That way you never get in over your head. Eventually you become experienced enough that you are comfortable with going further and further out. Once in a while you'll take too much, but you'll be mature enough as a psychonaut that you know how to ride it out. Personally, I think that having benzos on hand is too easy a cop-out. If you always have the back door there waiting for you, it's too easy to run when things get hairy and you have to face something intense. I know a lot of people do choose to have benzos on hand, and I'm not judging that - I know that different things work for different people. Just speaking from my own experience, I'm glad to have never had an exit door because I like to commit 100% to the trip.
  3. Yes thank you that's the important message here. I mean to say that if you want to do it, but fear over mental health issues are holding you back (and you have none pre-existing), you probably don't need to worry because most of the time psychedelics improve mental health. Mental health issues are tricky and need lots of support from community and professionals. It's risky to try to self-medicate real mental health issues with psychedelics. Very minor mental health issues that we all have (neuroses that are the mental equivalent of scrapes and bumps) are well suited to self-healing with psychedelics under the right intention, set and setting.
  4. Do you have mental illness in your family, or are you mentally unwell? The risks to mental health from using psychedelics is greatly overblown. However, if you do have real mental health issues, it advisable to stay away from them outside of a professional therapeutic setting. Users of psychedelics show higher degrees of mental health than the average population (even when controlled for the usual conflating factors like income, age, etc). Check out this article: https://www.thecut.com/2015/03/truth-about-psychedelics-and-mental-illness.html And this one: https://bigthink.com/ideafeed/study-alcohol-worse-for-mental-health-than-psychedelics I've taken over well over 100 trips in my lifetime, over the last 25 years. I've had hundreds of friends who use/have used psychedelics. I'm convinced they are of tremendous benefit to humanity on the whole.
  5. There's definitely something to it. It's something that many people on here have noted, and I have to admit that my deepest psychedelic experiences have been while I was in symmetrical body positions. I do believe it's all in your head though, and that it should be possible to have deep experiences out of symmetry. For example, does it make sense that an amputee will never be able to experience deep kensho? Perhaps the key is an internal symmetry, which is easier to achieve when the body is physically symmetrical.
  6. I recommend you keep things simple and just take 5meo dmt by itself. If you're very accustomed to cannabis, and after you've become familiar with 5meo-dmt you still feel it's worth experimenting with mixing them, go ahead, but I predict it will only make it more confusing and muddy.
  7. @hyruga you're hired!
  8. @Goodpeace yeah I think you should be fine. Always best to proceed with caution, but nothing seems too weird there to me either.
  9. @OBEler the beach would be an amazing place to have a trip on AL-LAD imo
  10. You'll know what to do when you're tripping, I don't think you need to preplan this. There's no danger in closing or opening your eyes - unless you're talking about walking into traffic or something obviously. I tend to prefer closed-eye meditation myself, I find I can go deeper that way. I find AL-LAD a more open-eye type of trip. AL-LAD is very long lasting, so you're probably going to want your eyes open for at least some of it.
  11. @Girzo yes, thank you.
  12. @FredFred keep us posted! FWIW when I was doing a lot of reading about the mescaline analogues, I think I remember allylescaline seemed like a standout winner, and maybe escaline too. DYOR of course and good luck! edit: or was it methallylescaline.... clearly my memory is fuzzy on this so extra DYOR... lol
  13. Yes, you didn't snort 200mg of DPT then, you snorted an unknown amount. This isn't to embarrass you or chastise you publicly for this, but for the sake of PSA: People need to stop reporting their dosages if they're only using spoons to measure, because it's going to throw others under the bus. You don't actually know how much you are consuming without weighing it, and if someone reads this and says "oh that guy took 200mg, can't be that bad", and then goes ahead and weighs out 200mg and snorts/plugs it, they will be in for a shock, and a potentially medically dangerous situation. Also, sounds like you didn't use a straw to snort it? Cut a short section of a plastic straw, get it up into your nose at the inner nose-hole, and then sniff it very gently into your nasal passages. This bypasses the nostril area that you can get your finger into, which is dry and won't absorb the DPT.
  14. I don't know the mescaline analogues very well, but I've had mescaline cacti a few times. I wish I could be able to compare the analogues to the grandfather mescaline. I can say that I find the 2C series to contain a lot of the character of mescaline, especially the alkylated ones 2C-D, 2C-E, 2C-P, as well as 2CT-2 and 2CT-7. I expect the mescaline analogues would be even more so. It seems like the mescaline analogues aren't that popular, and I'm not really sure why. Maybe because people who like mescaline are faithful to the cacti, and people who are interested in RCs are more distracted with shinier, more recreational compounds?
  15. Seen it, haven't tried it. Interesting, but it might be same-same as 4-AcO-DMT, so yeah probably good replacement for 4-AcO-DMT at least. Yes! This one looks really interesting, I kind of forgot about it. I think the MALTs are some of the last ones that Shulgin explored and wrote about before he passed. Good to know about 5-MeO-MET. I've tried 5-MeO-MiPT, which didn't strike me as something interesting from the perspective of self-actualization/spiritual work, but interesting in it's own right. It seemed edgy, a tiny bit challenging, recreational and humorous.
  16. lol Stay away from coke zero and other beverages with fake sweeteners like aspartame. Nasty unhealthy, neurotoxic shit. Drink water, the ultimate zero-calorie beverage.
  17. Both! Your life *is* your spiritual journey, and you should find a way to enjoy it in a way that is most fulfilling, and to your highest calling.
  18. It is indeed very possible to become deluded while tripping. That's why it's important to reflect on your insights and experience afterwords. It's not all TRUTH - some of it is patterns you saw where in fact there were none, some will be of exaggerated significance, some of it will be so muddled and incoherent that you can't even explain it to yourself let alone anyone else, and so on. On the other hand, there are some gems in there that are invaluable, and that could be very hard to come to without psychedelics. At the end of the day, you just have to be the judge of that for yourself. I think it naturally becomes apparent in the days afterwords. As you sift through the sands of your experience, there will be some gold nuggets that you're going to want to retain, integrate and build on. And be prepared for some bat shit crazy nonsense you can toss! I think it's important to keep an open mind - to the possibility of big things you didn't see before you tripped, and to the possibility that the content of your trip was utter bullshit.
  19. I think you misread me so to clarify, I said 5-MeO-DPT not 5-MeO-DMT. But you'd probably want to try out 5-MeO-DMT first anyways. Rumour has it 4-AcO-DMT will become scarce, I think it's getting banned in a bunch of places or something. I don't have much info on that tho. I edited in a note above re: 2C fyi
  20. ETH-LAD is the most potent psychedelic on the planet, in terms of raw potency per µg (afaik) - just slightly outmuscling LSD. It's a *very* interesting compound. We really need someone to check out 5-MeO-DPT 4-AcO-DMT is a high quality psychedelic, and seems poised to become much more rare soon. Nothing obscure or lesser-known about it, it's probably one of the more well known RCs, and for good reason. MPT and MET seem interesting to me. Edit: The 2C series is very interesting as well, although not sure how available they are these days. 2C-E is particularly interesting imo - it goes deep, and can be a valuable meditation aid at lower doses.
  21. Yes, this is what is known as the Great Non-dual Wheat Paradox (GNDWP)
  22. I'm surprised there are vendors that sell in quantities as small as 10mg. Are you sure you got your numbers right? You should buy more than 10mg, I'd recommend getting more like 100mg minimum, if not 500mg. It shouldn't be really expensive, which is why I think something is wrong here. It would surprise me if you can afford 10mg but have to save up for 20mg.
  23. DPT trip report: 29mg DPT HCl intranasal, administered at 9:50pm. Powder is light and fluffy, nicer to snort than my 5-MeO-DMT. Two lines, two gentle sniffs to place each one up a nasal passage, without placing it in the back towards the throat. Turned the lights down low, kicked back in my reclining arm chair and let the DPT take over. Silent. None of the trembling or jitteriness that can be quite strong with DPT. Completely relaxed into it with no resistance. Some minor discomfort in the nasal passages as it absorbs, and had to resist the reflex to snort the loogie down. A bit distracting for the first 15-20mins, but nothing too bad. Some heat at the back of the neck, a phenomenon I remember from past trials with it. A few moments of deep stillness, standing at the edge of the precipice that 5-MeO-DMT takes you over so easily. "Oh yeah, that's over there" like being aware of a magnetic pole, without jumping in. I feel it could have gone there easily, especially with a higher dose. Mild visual patterning, typical of tryptamines (but normally absent in 5-MeO-DMT). Much more enthralling and interesting were the extremely vivid musical hallucinations, detailed psychedelic auditory soundscapes that interplayed with my awareness of them. I liked Leo's description of how DPT mind is like this thick, slow, penetrative process that lets you bore into a contemplation. The mind has some momentous weight to it, not flighty or fidgety, it's like the opposite of ADD. At about 1.5h in I needed to refuel as I was underfed and had done a pretty big run that day. Made some PB toast, which was neither enhanced nor repulsive, eating was just necessary and normal. Eating whilst tripping is sometimes a big challenge for me. At 2h was past the peak. Moved into the studio to take some notes, and managed to recreate IRL a somewhat satisfactory replica of one of the multitudinous sounds that had been so vivid earlier. There was some mild euphoria at this point. Had a cold IPA to help move towards sleepy-town as I needed to get up for work the next day. I drink pretty occasionally, but sometimes take a beer if I need to wind a trip down. DPT lasts longer than I had remembered, and was still very wired at this point. In bed at 2am. Still little bit wired, but sleep came easily after within about 30mins. Summary: Duration: About 30 mins comeup, 1-1.5h of peak, 2h of gentle comedown. Total about 4h. 29mg was a very medium dose. Will move up to ~50mg next time. I've taken DPT a handful of times, but not for many years. I can imagine pushing it up to about 80mg. This trip didn't go really deep, but was entirely worthwhile. It's a great material for contemplation, and I gained creative inspiration. It was rich with auditory sensation. I would like to go deeper with a larger dose in the near future. DPT is a good one. Glad to have it in the toolkit, and that Leo has reminded us all about it. Next day I felt tired from a short sleep, but also energized and refreshed.
