  1. With inspiration from this forum, I found a very powerful and simple tool for myself helping me navigate in everyday life. With great results! I often ask myself: How much black & white thinking is underlying this situation, this person, this thing etc. and very often I find black & white thinking synonymous with unconsciousness wich of course is not the direction I want to go. Maybe not news for many of you but this simple realisation has changed a lot for me. Thanks.
  2. Very true, and you have to be aware of that the opposite of you're assumptions always can be true.
  3. @aurum Well, as long long as you are alive there will be conditioning!
  4. I find it even more important to meditate when i am sick, that makes the symptoms feel better I think.
  5. Let you´re body decide...
  6. Here, Osho comparing Gandhi with Hitler.
  7. @The Universe To really see the connection between Self-Discipline and long time progress.
  8. Good question, in some way everyone already has a life purpose and is living it now I think. If everyone right now would be able to manifest their highest potential, who would want to do the mundane/dirty/monotone work that supports the platform of todays society on which you can live out you're highest purpose?
  9. @LifeandDeath I just posted this quote on another thread but I´d like to share it with you. "Live your life in such a way that death will be your friend" - Astrid Lindgren
  10. @LifeandDeath Can´t say I have totally but to a large degree I have excepted my own approaching death, which have made my life so much more joyful and interesting. The fear of death is running most peoples lives I think. All fears/anxietys originate from fear of death. Anxiety of loosing this and that and finally you´re own life. Truth is, it was never yours from the beginning so there is nothing to loose. Death is not opposite to life, it is the opposite of birth. Without death there could be no life. I believe that if you can overcome the fear of death, you can overcome anything.
  11. It seems lika a lot of spiritual seekers fall in the trap of desiring the things on this list, which automatically put them out of the list.
  12. Live your life in such a way that death will be your friend. - Astrid Lindgren
  13. My experience is that these moments of loneliness are painful but also an opportunity for growth. When I finally accepted my loneliness, in some magic way I started to attract other people and friends.
  14. You are taking about very complexed highly developed creatures not very far away from your self out of a evolutionary perspective, right?
  15. My intuition says that if I can totally overcome the fear of death, all doors of possibility will be open. The ignorance of humans own death and the ignorance of the impermanence of all things I think is one of the biggest problems in our society. If only people really knew how short and fragile their lives are a lot of things i society would change for the better. The realisation that I will stop to exist one day is making me grow very fast and makes me want to do the best of this very short time.
  16. Now be silent. Let the One who creates the words speak. He made the door. He made the lock. He also made the key. ~ Rumi
  17. @LowPlanetary I use to think of how short life is and that I (and all human beings that is alive now) will stop to exist very soon. That thought also make me feel more reverence towards all things.
  18. This is pretty much in line with the benefits I gained after starting with a daily meditation/yoga routine
