  1. I wanted to ask especially the people who do yoga or kriya yoga. How do you deal with kriya experiences and releasings of them? Or releasing of blocked energies and chakras? Can you fully release a chakra and how does that impact life quality and the feeling of the particular chakra? I listened to a couple of explanations on how to deal with them, yet this feeling is incredbliy present. For instance I sometimes have to deal with pain, when sitting down to meditate near the area of my pelvis, because of a large scar there. Also, while walking and doing sports for a longer time. Even though I can attenuate/alleviate the pain with some "scar roller". When I feel this pain or there or in generel, where I feel blocked energy in my solar plexus. I feel this pain shooting upwards towards my brain, at specific areas. Now, this is the same kind of pain and frustration I feel when studying, failing, being weak or trying to be assertive. I have been mindful of this pain, since day one of starting to meditate. After the new video and working with the LP and CBT exercises, I know that most of the cognitive internal negativ self-talk is gone. Sure, there is some negative thinking. Yet, the point I am trying to make is this feeling or blocked chakra / pain or sanskara hindered me from become better at surviving by the day to day demand imposed by society and my standards. I know now that these feelings at least in a Vipassana traditions are called sanskaras or smth. similar. Which stands for grooves or for me similar to old roots, or just pain. Now, often I experience these feelings intensly for a month or two weeks, then they are gone for the same duration approx. The pattern differs although. Eckhart Tolle calls this pain body imo, I am just curious for those praticing yoga and potentially having similar feelings at the same spot. Did a full release and permanent change of the chakra or blockage felt ever occur? I will definitely work on my relationship to pain in the context towards survival conceptually. Yet, practically I attend this feeling almost every meditation session.
  2. Two of my favorite songs from Coldplay
  3. It is possible a lot of reputable sources claim that. If not see the world fastest reader.
  4. @andyjohnsonman Yes, so far reviewing intentions could be good and seeing if they unfold when you journal about them or go through life. Yes, journaling and contemplating the "nature" of the experience or it's potential meaning and insights which have been unraveled. If you are into shadow work, I'd recommend doing a shadow work exercise. I only practice one technique, so I can't give an expert opinion Also, daily meditation practice or exchanging the experience with a friend common sense or prudence is key, yet definitely daily meditation. Or share them even here on the forum to get feedback and give other people the opportunity to integrate theirs, potentially. Anyway, this was my idea and approach.
  5. @CreamCat There are plenty, I checked the book again since IIRC, they recommended a specific book. Yet, it will take me to long to find it. Here is the list of Goodreads (Used Google, not the GoodReads website to search) https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/speed-reading These links also look fine. https://bookauthority.org/books/best-speed-reading-books https://myspeedreading.com/best-speed-reading-books/ They, also have higher ratings from user than the book recommended by Leo. Even on Amazon. By checking again, I would stay with the top rated books or the ones recommend from Goodreads. Possibly there are greater books than the one Leo recommended. I wanted to buy also a specific one, but I don't think I will find it anymore... Have fun and "to success"/ good fortune etc.
  6. @arlin You can take a cold shower in the morning or choose a place which does not make you feel tired. I did not struggle that much with tiredness during meditation at the beginning thanks to cold showers. ( From warm to cold, to be more alert during the morning)
  7. @CreamCat Check out goodreads there are books with exercises to overcome this problem and have a solution. Not seeing words as images. The Book from Leo is also listed there + others which have a higher rating. From the users there.
  8. Just buy 20-30 bucks lol, I bought a used version. The informarion on the net is good but not as detailed as in the book.
  9. @Nivsch There are a couple it is already mapped out. Which parts of israel are green/orange blue red etc. + a few names etc. + organizations are mentioned so you could join an organization or check the sites of people who used spiral dynamics in Israel. Don beck describes in the book spiryal dynamics in action how he implemented sd in israel.
  10. @Nivsch I mostly have my opinions from Ken Wilber on how to go up on stage. Otherwise I did not find anything in the spiral dynamic book, on how that occures or I missed that part. I recently bought the old version. I have the audiobook version, also and can't recall. Besides what Ken Wilber said on how to grow up/in stages.
  11. @Nivsch It will not be easy to convince people if they are not open, because they are not in an open state, but in an arrested or closed state. Meaning they are not capeable of changing because of living conditions or adjusting to their conditions and, not being open for a big change in their vantage point, viewpoint etc. Because they are not willing to be open and to have their belives challenged. It would be smart to find people who are already open instead of convincing a couple of friends. What I meant is that in the new book don beck mentions a couple of people and organizations and what they did in israel to use spiral dynamics to change people there. Also, showing a map where the various vMemes (color codes exist) from red to green. So, you cold potentially join a organization and search for a specfific organizstion or person who has used spiral dynamics and write them a mail. Or go to a meeting. Reading the book(s) could give you a larger picture of how change happens, which phases people go through etc.
  12. @Aeris Even a small breakthrough like crying or an insight feels different from ordinary "consciousness," I think the question is legit. Yet, difficult if beginners or newbs, noobs, etc. Are describing it. It will sound messy. The point for me is not to be deceived by, my own thoughts, emotions, projections from others, shadow elements, kriya feelings even now, projections from me etc. It's rare for me the closet I came through of what I can call direct experience (besides any sense perception) was through crying regardless if it was an LSD experience where I cried, a retreat, or a spontaneous event. It brought in more clarity then I could think of literally! Or driving through the consciousness tunnel on LSD, where insights just came and drove me deeper and deeper for a couple of hours into insights of insights of insights.
  13. @Aeris It goes way deeper then that if I would make an abstraction it is sense perceptions and what is perceivable. I know where I am heading 100% for the next stage. It takes time and effort and I don't know how the experience is going to be or feel like or if I will experience another "state" experience. I was mainly mentioning my insights/point of view from my practice of meditation which is Vipassana version from Shinzen Young. I also will buy a Yoga-Course finally I found one, so I can practice some Hatha-Yoga and start from there since I really wanted a body-focused practice also. Working with subtle energies mainly and kriyas, also becoming more flexible. The point is I feel I need a breakthrough via retreat or LSD etc. Day to day practice is too gradual if you can get what I mean. I am a bit impatient there. Who experiences aloneness? Where do you feel it? How does it feel ? etc. This is pointless to a degree since you are the one experiencing it feeling the aloneness. Yes, in a sense it is a direct experience, but not a direct experience of certain states. There is a huge difference between the consciousness and state experience of LSD trip and ordinary consciousness or the level of consciousness after a meditation retreat. In that sense, you can distinguish between direct experiences.
  14. You can check Goodreads, there are plenty of books. Skimming is good, taking notes also, or drawing a mind-map. Using your finger to read, to increase comprehension is a common tip + a technique used. No, the answer was related to the question.
  15. 100%, this is what I perceive. It is a dichotomy or a bifurcation. You can intuit what is unconscious and what is not. The difficulty is trusting one's own perception, it is difficult and also to follow through with that. Leo's episodes of self-deception covers that quite well, between for instance shallow emotions and higher and deeper emotions, that in a certain sense bring more clarity. Not trusting direct experience could also be a sign of awareness, the question is does the inner skeptic feel conscious or unconscious.
  16. No, but it does feel inauthentic and fake.
  17. @CreamCat At best buy a speed reading book or the booklist. There is so much advice on YouTube. I will sound like a hypocrite. For instance, stop subliminally speaking yourself words internally and start thinking in images, pictures and more visually. Hence, you can process more information, since you are not hindering yourself by speaking the words out loud in your mind.
  18. It mostly comes down to what one experiences, for instance when I sit down and meditate my direct experience is thought, emotions, flowing emotions, the quality of emotions, depth, broadness, (anger, happiness). The quality of tranquility or equanimity, flavour of concentration. Flavour of unconsciousness etc. Emotions that seem more intuitivly as dirct experience can be very strong emotions or pain. Since it is difficult to deny that. Take crying as an example, for instance of laughter as some sort of clarity in a situation. Or crying to deal with emotional trauma in order to come to terms with the experience being processed. I can name a personal example, yet I won't do it till I see more of them here. Where is the direct experience? I can also conceptualize and speculate instead of giving a frame of reference. From personal experie ce.
  19. There is a good book on Leo's booklist. Although it is quite tedious to get through the book. I don't read much currently. I consume a lot of audiobooks... Mostly it is the way we have been taught to read. There are a ton of tips on Youtube. The advice given in the book, is also congruent to a degree with the advice given by Scott Young. Otherwise there are other speedreading books and coaches. On YouTube etc. Yet, the format of the book is quite good. Because of the exercises it entails. It is also gives you an overview of how many words per minute. Or wpm you can read currently and at the end of the book. Some of the techniques are intuitive or contra-intuitiv, some are common sense.
  20. Your choice.
  21. @Shin You sure do know, that eye rolling is a sign of having a condescending attitude towards the person you are speaking. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/this-behavior-is-the-top-predictor-of-divorce_n_572cc717e4b0bc9cb0468e06 Yes, I do enjoy the song.
  22. @Joseph Maynor It is great, that you criticize so people are aware. An advocatus diaboli is needed often to further reduced cult-like thinking.
  23. @Joseph Maynor It's inevitable when language is used in a religious way that certain people are attracted to it. Who are more blue for instance. Also, being neutral or relative all the time is for me an absolutist thing, or way or thinking. Seeing Leo's earlier videos and being a lurker it felt heavily orange or secular. Now it feels greener with people choosing their "enlightened" one besides Leo to reference to and give credit to and seek advice. People being about love and sending hearts etc. I don't think there is anything apprehensive about the forum with so many active moods and Leo being active. For me, it feels more like an upgrade that the forum is not so strongly based on likes etc. Since people have to actually read the post and take the time to figure out which advice is legit. Sure, this is also a disadvantage that there is no immediate reinforcement or feedback to post and having feedback from likes to see if the advice or post provided value, is legit or people like it. (Like StackOverflow or Quora etc.) So, it is more for the forum participation itself and the content shared. I mean people from all over the world chime in, it is clear that at one point some cult-like behavior is going to erupt. When the teaching changes. Yet, for me, it shows more a misunderstanding of how people can't perceive of how interconnected all of this is then, cult-like behavior.
  24. It's inevitable in some way that with so many sources and people practicing different techniques and having different world views and value structures, that they are going to clash in some way. I find it amazing that there is a place where people can exchange these aspects, while not burning down the whole place. This is what a positive discussion is good for. It's already quite cult free since people can't meet up in real life and many people tend to build their own "philosophy" about their spirituality, with so many approaches presented. Yet, this is what I find this place good for, that different viewpoint and techniques can be discussed also to see how different people use them and see what they achieve, or what effects they have. Also, the metaphysical aspects and the general no bullshit approach and how everything connects back to some source. When reading different maps and post from forum members, and the forum not being based on likes anymore. I find it personally a bit easier to distinguish between people who legit make progress and others who are just talking crap. That Leo mentions that people "should" follow their own path and craft their unique own path and to not blindly follow his advice, already seems to provoke more skeptical people to be more skeptic about Leo's and their own approach and criticize it while others seem to ride on the vibe. This alone solely prevents dogma since you have contrast, especially people with a larger knowledge base and people practicing different approaches. I've been quite good to call out bs, so mostly I observe.... which does not mean I am very far advanced on any path talked about here and in general PD.
