One word. Nofap. It sure isn't easy, but if you can get past it it will greatly reward you. Just be sure you know about things like the flatline, that got me on my last go. I'm currently at day 11 and feeling increase in motivation and confidence w/women.

I am most greatful for my family. They are super supportive in everything I do and are very openminded. I know some peoples parents are very strict and don't allow their children to pursue anything that might sound a bit dreamy or extraordinary, and that is why I value my parents so much. If you have parents who support you in what YOU want to do, take a moment and thank the universe for gifting you the best possible parents.

Is it okay to use meditation music when doing meditation. I only use it when there is a lot of outside noise (tv, talking on phone etc.) Does this interfere with my meditation gains? Thanks -
@bazera No, this forum and self help is very beneficial BUT when you use it as a way to distract yourself from something important you should be doing (eg. school assignment, business planning) then I think it is a problem. I sometimes find myself watching videos on how to study and stop procrastinating when moments later I notice studying is what I should be doing but instead I'm watching a video on how to study.

Here are habits I have managed to completely eliminate: Video games TV Partying (drinking) Social media Pornography Here are some habits I am currently working to get rid of: Unnecessary Youtube (wastes more time then you think, ) Using self help as a way of procrastination. ( this ones big. I do this often when I have some unappealing work to do. I put on a video from leo for example and tell myself its productive when in reality I'm just postponing the work I should truly be doing.) Scrolling this forum when I should be doing my work..

I only started self improvement a year ago and have not really talked about it to my family other than recommending some meaningful self help books. Should I let them know I want to become self actualized? Forum is great btw! Gonna be spending a lot of my free time here.
-
@Phrae Thanks, and you're very right. Self actualizing is hard to explain to someone who had never even heard of it before without sounding shallow, even though its the deepest thing anyone could be doing. I will probably not mention it for now but maybe when I start doing workshops and such over seas it would be a good time to let them know. Thanks for the tremendous help!

@Phrae Meditation, reading, jounaling, watching leo's videos and fitness and nutrition. I have also started a master mind with my good friend and have been doing that for about 4 months now on a weekly basis. I also plan to want to purchase self help products such as leos Life purpose course, and since it is somewhat expensive my family would probably wonder where the money went.

@Phrae I am currently a student in high school and am unemployed.

@JeffR1 Well, to be honest my intuition has kept me from telling them. I think I fear their critisism the most. The only reason I would like to tell them about it is so that they had a gist of what I was doing all day, since they're always curious. I always respond with "school work" if they ask. Could this still be the ego talking? Thanks
