  1. Another way to explain it is that the J and P determines whether your Judging or Perceiving function will be extroverted. So someone who's an INTJ has their Judging process (in this case Thinking) as the extraverted function (Te), which leaves the N to be introverted (Ni). Alternatively, someone who's an INTP has their Perceiving process as the extraverted function (Ne), which means that the Judging process will be introverted (Ti). Then the first letter (I Introversion or E Extroversion) determines which of those processes comes first! So for an INTJ: 1 - Introverted Intuition (NI) 2 - Extraverted Thinking (Te) And for an INTP: 1 - Introverted Thinking (Ti) 2 - Extraverted Intuition (Ne) Hope this helps!
  2. Yeah trust me, as hard as it may be, an apology goes a long way. And it's good to get into the habit of it when you're young.
  3. (Some) limits of Orange self-help: – No or little emphasis on emotions – Workaholism – Unfulfilling work life because usually not contributing – Hedonistic Adaptation – Not taking time to enjoy life – No focus on developing compassion – ... These are just a few I came up with off the cuff. Feel free to add! Stage Orange is limited depending on where YOU are on the Spiral, not in the absolute. If you're at Blue, then Stage Orange self-help is exactly what you need. Otherwise, it's limited because it's fundamentally materialistic, unemotional, anti-spiritual, and selfish.
  4. I would say don't get caught up in trying to embody every single characteristic of a stage to fully integrate it. We all usually have a few key areas in each Stage that we need to work on, and that are glaringly obvious once you look for them.
  5. "They are casting their problems at society. And, you know, there's no such thing as society. There are individual men and women and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look after themselves first. It is our duty to look after ourselves and then, also, to look after our neighbours." – Margaret Thatcher
  6. Read I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi. Despite the corny title, it's an excellent book on personal finance.
  7. I think it's good to get an overview of a subject. For more in-depth things I would use more specialized sources.
  8. @Zigzag Idiot @Max_V Wow, thanks! These are amazing resources.
  9. As an actor, I don't think that acting is deceptive in the way that, say, misleading, unconscious marketing is deceptive. They are two totally different worlds. The difference is that the unconscious marketer wants to mask his deception for personal gain. He's trying to one-up the audience, which is not the case with art. Don't confuse the art with the industry. If you try acting, you'll realize the only way to act is to be totally truthful. That's the beauty of it.
  10. Yeah I watched it. Powerful film. Green energy is not the be-all-end-all, something much more profound needs to happen.
  11. The upper class does benefit from social benefits, just indirectly. Example: How will their businesses survive if the majority of the population doesn't have disposable income? Where will those people find skilled workers if education is too expensive? But thinking in terms of indirect benefits or positive externalities is not very natural to most people.
  12. Can "Integrity" be a value? Or is it a little redundant? I've defined integrity as "alignment with values; honesty."
  13. I would take "objective" here to mean "non-ideological, not taking sides, looking at the situation from a higher perspective". And yes, there is no objectivity, either: everything is relative! The trick is that Yellow is able to understand and walk this paradox
  14. The main difference between Turquoise and Yellow is that Turquoise sees consciousness as fundamental. Yellow can still be stuck in the materialist paradigm.
  15. Great goal man! I love the idea of just spending a few months just relaxing... From reading your post, a few ideas came to mind: First, all these body-oriented practices are all leading you towards one thing (just like how all meditation practices lead you to just one thing): relaxing the body. If I were you, I would just focus on relaxing throughout the day, all day, every day. You don't need a practice necessarily when it comes to relaxing the body. Second, if you're a noob at meditation, watch out! Expect an ego backlash because despite what you think, your ego does not want to sit there and do nothing for months on end. Good luck to you
  16. Stage Green only looks feminine and weak from the lower stages. When you're in it, you'll see how strong being feminine and vulnerable actually is. For example, only a Green man would cry in front of a woman. Which actually takes balls. Paradoxically, being vulnerable makes you more of a man. Because If you can cry in front of a woman, you are one very strong man
  17. Name: Giancarlo Benedetti Age: 18 Gender: Male Location: American, but lived in France during my adolescence and currently studying in Glasgow (UK) Occupation: Student (probably a Theology and Religious Studies major, though still undecided) Marital Staus: No Kids: Nada Hobbies: reading, meditation, personal development, theater, musical theater, fitness I've always been into health and fitness, but I guess I first truly got into personal development early in high school (2015) when I got fed up with not being able to attract girls. So I got into pickup, and got a girlfriend. After that, I kept doing personal development, and found Actualized.org not long after that. After a while, pickup got a lot less interesting, and I became more and more fascinated by the more spiritual/philosophical topics Leo was covering. So I quickly outgrew the pickup community and got more engrossed in philosophy, spirituality, Spiral Dynamics... And here I am, 3 years later. It's amazing to look back at myself from a few years ago, who was obsessed with chasing girls, to now just being able to sit contentedly in silence. Thank you, Leo. Personal challenges I've overcome: Used to be totally socially awkward Used to be a terrible conversationalist Used to suck at attracting girls Overcoming a "Nice Guy" attitude without becoming a total dick (which took me a while to figure out) Anorexia Overcoming culture and language barriers at a young age when I moved to France What I'm working on now: Becoming financially independent (probably starting a 4HWW-style business) Eating less meat Meditating and staring at my hand for long periods of time (Leo's right, it's a super good spiritual exercise) Reading Improving my relationships with the people I care about most
  18. @Azote It seems that academia is the place to be for Yellow. Take a look at all the people Leo listed in his Yellow video: Thomas Khun, Donella Meadows, Douglas Hofstadter, Alfred Korzybski, Abraham Maslow... All of them do or did work in academia. That being said, we desperately need Yellow in all areas of life, like politics, etc. If you can make it as a Yellow politician, congrats. I'll vote for you!
  19. @The Mystical Man I'm in the same boat as you. Love this philosophical stuff, but 18 years old in college with no income and very confused as to how to start a business. I do find that all the deep inner work from Actualized.org has definitely helped keep my emotions under control. I just wish there were more reliable resources on how exactly to start a business (like the 4HWW, which is somewhat outdated sadly). PS Where in Germany are you? I'm from Strasbourg, which is why I ask
  20. Hey guys, After watching Leo's latest video on relaxing the body, I'm creating the first comprehensive, fully online bioenergetics course. I'm creating this course for fellow actualizers who want to do bioenergetics at home without a therapist, and because sadly there isn't a course out there yet. If this interests you, fill out a quick survey and to tell me exactly what you want in a bioenergetics program! Here's the link: https://goo.gl/forms/sPJirZYUzb1XGLK53 Thanks! (Note: This is not meant to be promotional content. It's just a way for me to gather other people's input for a bioenergetics course.)
  21. Hello all - I was wondering, in Leo's video about doubting leading to the centric stage of development: a) are the self-defense mechanisms we need to doubt the Freudian ones (mostly lying, repression, and the associated behaviors)? b) can anyone explain how this process works on a psychological level? c) not really a question, but more of a suggestion: after you've doubted something for a while (belief, false motivation...) try consciously letting it go. Any answers appreciated. - Best to all!
  22. Question: Leo says not to take 5-MeO if under 21. What if you've done a few years of meditation and questioning of beliefs, etc, before that? Could you take it at a younger age? I assume people (not-Truth seekers) do, just for the hell of it, and come out OK.
