You may pursue them. But use a teaching that teaches to the very end of enlightenment, referring to the purification and with an 8 fold path. Why is this so, I want Leo this to understand as well. Attaining the vision, as Leo has and many others on this website, Will, means he can pursue such powers. Someone who has attained the vision, cannot turn back and undo this. Attaining the vision happens not through psychedelics, drugs or any of the mysticism related subjects. Attaining the vision can ONLY through someone who has truly a great understanding of Dharma or has left this teaching, that then becomes the teacher for the noble student. From attaining the vision, after cycling a few rounds, he will become an one returner, which means, that one plays the game of life by upset, fully knowing he can't truly die. When this dies out due to that one gets tired, one secludes from unnecessary things naturally, and will become a non-returner. Being a non-returner he will defend not going back into worldly activities, and this is the game on its own, until warn out, and one becomes an Arahant, free of mind, having no more cycles of birth and death. An nutshell teaching + in depth teaching of enlightenment has been written several of hours ago. However written down, don't be surprised, few or no one will as a result comment. Enlightenment is a hot topic, but few will reach the other side. People stream and get stuck with fakers, who do not truly practice, only write about it, or had some experiences, but have no true intent to finish the path. This is however their game. I will write there for another guide, that will be tiring one out, Yoga, in preparation of it, which is for most in their eyes suitable. -

I will promise you all something. If you start trusting that you are in essence no different then anyone else, being Awareness that is all pervasive. Start trusting the teachings that lead to live in accordance with Awareness. And start trusting those who follow it. You surely will be gifted with intelligence and insight soon, or later. -

Enlightenment. Please readers, understand. That no stage is permanent. I have never came across something, that changes as fast as the mind does. The problem is not that one does not have had an enlightening experience. The problem is remaining, sustaining. Well things can't sustain, there for seclusion from unwholesome deeds, no possessions except that which is necessary for duty, and remaining concentrated on Awareness. The mind can change then what it wants, it has nothing to bind to. No big house, riches, entertainment no behavior where an I must be there (unwholesome behavior always needs sense of self). It can and will go through all stages, but if it has nothing to bind, one dwells anywhere, without attachment. (I called this many times in previous posts, living in accordance with Awareness). Look at the quote (not necessary words), get rid of what is not necessary for your body, or for Awareness, and you will be free of mind. -

Yes, and when you grow tired of one teacher telling you this and the other is telling you that, then what will you eventually do? .... (exactly, and same you will do when having enough of those thoughts). -

@Richard Alpert Maybe you can ask someone who can understand this and is intelligent enough to put it down here so you can get a hold of it. Lets make it a challenge. Who could grasp my writing? And put down its meaning? Surely this person demonstrates intellect if can. -
@quantum You wouldn't recognize such a being as written in my post among the others. Not even when he would have posted here. Yes, follow up your intuition. And meditate on this very advice that you recognize as your intuition, start listening to it what it has to offer. Maybe it spoke already before.

Great question! The duty that is not in accordance with Awareness, that is the work of others, although someone can perform it perfectly well, its not ones utmost due to not being able to be not attached to its results, and its still therefor better to work in accordance with Awareness even with countless of mistakes, lack of energy and so on. One must do, what truly is in accordance with their own hearts, no matter the cost, no matter how difficult, always perform your duty in Accordance with your essence, being focused on Awareness and not being attached to its results. -

Hello Krishna.@Dodoster Aren't you in essence not also Krishna (all pervasive Awareness)? Is it so strange that those who leave their possessions, live secluded from worldly activities, meditate deeply on that which is deathless, are focused and concentrated day and night on Awareness, that when you read the Bhagavad Gita, you see similarities between all those who seclude from sense indulgence and unwholesome behavior? To wrap it up: Get rid of what all pervasive Awareness does not need, and what you body doesn't either need. And act in accordance with Awareness (duty), and give the body what it does need (not to much, not to little food and water). Surely one will be free of mind soon, or later, completely unattached from good and bad results from duty. Krishna (all pervasive Awareness) = Celebration. -

No Wormon, I never said family is bad. No Wormon, I never said either anything about a comparison between internet and family based on family being bad, internet being better. When someone refrained from worldly entertainments, being a servant of the senses, unwholesome behavior, is always concentrated on Awareness (Supreme, all pervasive), and his attention on duty, should he there for not see the Supreme in all living beings? The internet is used for my duty, in service of the Supreme, and not for celebrating christmas with my family as how you understand it. My real family is that of the wise and not the foolish. However I see the Supreme in both foolish and the wise alike, therefor celebration of christmas and not performing my duty in accordance with the Supreme, failing to see the supreme in both the foolish and wise alike I do see as bad, as not holding one accountable to perfect value due to the sense gratification that comes with celebration. Therefor Wormon, it is better to perform my duty and not celebrating christmas, seeing the supreme in both the foolish and the wise, and behave accordingly without sense indulgence that comes with celebration. And I perform this duty on internet, sharing knowledge free of cost, me being completely absent of attachment to either bad or good fruits of my duty, surely I do this for my family as how I came to understand it. -

Sure Leo, do you really believe Lord Buddha was in need of a psychologist after he found enlightenment under the Buddha tree? You posted this on november 2, that was far before my coming here. I hope that this wrong view of enlightenment is dropped. I will soon write an exposition that will shed some decent light on this subject. I hope that readers here do not think that enlightenment is some kind of substage, because its not, its an all-round discipline and not an easy one to reach, and once reached and held up, surely one becomes free of mind. To clarify, Buddha was his own master, who overcame himself, he didn't need to master "other things" such as family. As soon as one enlightens as a Buddha he is in line with the Buddhas, surely you don't mean he need to master these too. And others don't need to master family either, or their relationships, or what else, they too must overcome themselves fully. -
Sorry mom, I forgot. I am so, so sorry, you are so dependent on me, I totally forgot. "Its not funny!" I am here for you now. (and remain in the now). Birdcage, if you can't remain in joy, put the phone away if you don't need it for a while. They are not separated from you, and I am sure that in their hearts they don't want to blame you. Remain with yourself, if you can't take it, but don't blame them either here for their blaming in this very chat behind their backs. In stead, calm down, and see why you can't take it at the moment. What happened? Where did I go out of my own capacity of dealing properly, having energy and joy. Focus on that in stead, on your own thinking. Change it, and build upon the positive not harmful thoughts. (Mindfulness meditation), and see where you yourself lacked towards yourself and find where the other at the moment might have lacked as well, by also having taken to much. Now, you can see yourself in the other, and the other back in yourself, have a good talk after it, and move on.

Aware replied to Bronsoval's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Bronsoval Enlightenment = Compassion. Let me explain. One cannot remain in the awakened mind that equals compassion due to his discipline. If all defilements are gone, one lives secluded from sense gratification and worldly activities always doing good, this being has perfect overview and knows that in those beings that suffer, also in their hearts is the supreme, and this being, no matter how hard he tries, does not see it. And becomes compassionate. He sees in all things the Supreme. And all those who do not see this, he is compassionate about. His state remains in compassion due to constant polarity to be compassionate about. There for one must seclude from sense indulgence, give up most of his possessions, and always remain mindful of the Supreme, that is all pervasive Awareness in order to be compassionate about polarity, and those stuck in it. So in the presence of such a being, the other becomes compassionate as well, but returns to his daily life after, and its gone again, and here the holy man, is also compassionate about, and there for he goes on and on preaching to live simple, to strive to which is deathless, which is within all our hearts so that they do refrain from sense indulgence as well so they don't need to cry no more, and become family and don't need to leave no more. Thinking that compassion and enlightenment are separated because there is a famine and a masculine, is thinking the wrong way around. There is famine and masculine because there is the Supreme. And those who attain it, there for are compassionate to both male and female that suffer by the same root that is their desire. The same can be said about enlightenment and enlightening others, there for Enlightenment = Compassion. -
Well asked! How does the law works after death, how must hell and heaven been seen? I remain I, The I (All pervasive Awareness, Me). Little me, is Me + desire, streaming away by its own desires, heaven and hell are exhaustion mechanisms based on duality which is the doctrine of temporary. One goes on with ones own game of either having the taste of becoming the defilement (unwholesome) which refers to hell, or the game of getting rid of it (wholesome) which refers to heaven. In either way this never stops. Heaven and hell are there for true unwholesome, and removing the attachment to it by getting rid of the desire leading to it, is true wholesome. So for example if hitler would become one, his desires did not rest, and this time he wants it to put his doings to unlimited extent (understand that he was already one when he was here, and did the things he did, so why would he do different after death?), which he can, and will there for create the lowest hell, and play his game on. Hell will become hell, when he is tired of his games, yet he is not yet fully done yet, fully exhausted. Its a burning place, sure, with unlimited space to do his unwholesome deeds, sure I belief it will burn. The same happens for heaven, one will eventually grow boring of it due to no excitement, always nice, sweet and fluffy like experiences. There for be focused on true wholesome deeds, that sprouts from seclusion from unwholesome deeds (good and evil), purifying the mind of its defilements, pure mind, that is Awareness will be attained by living in accordance, and no rebirth in heaven or hell will occur, due to the desires that led to heavens and hell is finally to its end. And one will be just one, remaining so. But it comes at a price, one must live simple, without much possessions, always behave in according of Awareness, always mindful and free from attachment towards worldly activities by seclusion from it, free of mind, surely will not come back in heavens or hells, which is the true kingdom of the Supreme.

To wrap what you wrote up: We are both the observer and the observed. -
This rests on a wrong idea of yours. It is in your own mind you are worrying about the world, while if getting rid of your defilements yourself by leaving the sense gratification that is of the masses of the world surely you would see how you thought once: what happens in your mind happens out there, which is not true at all. It is your suffering that is the real case. At the source, the essence of all, is your own mind minus the defilements. Your pure mind is not bound to one body, or one mind in a body, but knows no equal. This essence, the source, that is Awareness, does not need rest, peace, for its not entangled by polarity. So focus on Awareness, leave sense gratification behind, purify your behavior (Views, intentions, speech, act, effort, livelihood, attention and concentration) by secluding from unwholesome behavior, and live a simple life with few possessions, always mindful, always doing good. And surely, you will be free from worries about the world. Your real goal is not to bother how society will function if all is in peace, because your real self that knows no equal, Awareness, is not suffering at all. There for may you yourself bring yourself peace by living in accordance of your real self.

By the way, those who read the post of Leo, most will celebrate soon with family, Christmas is coming! Dinner will be ready, with a lot of food and happy faces with presents. And then you can come and might read Leo's post again, and explain here how your christmas was. And might give Leo reputation for his post, quickly, before the next appointment, someones birthday with great pie and refreshments. Seriously, no matter how well written an article about enlightenment is, you won't have any advantages, if your discipline does not support it first and put the well written words not in action. Keep this in mind. -

Now let me ruin your day... Are you entangled in family traditions? Are you entangled in money profit making? Do you have much possessions? Stuck in religious dogmas that do not show the way? Are you not living secluded from worldly activities? Are you not secluded from unwholesome deeds? Do you have much security in life? Good, now you can read the post of Leo over and over again everyday, and swim from shore to shore, without being able to dwell freely in the enlightened stage you've just had due to the discipline that doesn't support it, due to the sense indulgence and the worries that arise due to possessions, family traditions and worldly activities that swallow you straight back. Those living simple, few possessions, live secluded from worldly activities, live secluded from unwholesome deeds and are always mindful, eat and drink not to much or to little, surely can remain free of mind. -
Aware replied to The White Belt's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@BeginnerActualizer The path leading to the path, the path, light and the truth... Are in truth, not tangible. You yourself must be your own way, your own light, your own truth, your own guide, your own Dharma, and your own Salvation. I have been preaching often already here, that the path to the path, is hearing the Dharma (the workings of reality). That the path you must become, will be according to seclusion from unwholesome deeds namely: Wrong views, intention, speech, act, effort, livelihood, attention and concentration. And bringing your attention and being concentrated on Awareness, that is all pervasive, that is all minds, just without the defilements, that there for is all pervasive, not bound, unborn and is deathless. To be your own guide, your own Dharma and salvation, one must there for live secluded from worldly activity, and be mindful always, when he eats, drinks and sleeps, and always guarding his senses. What people fail to understand, mostly also on this forum, is that you can't have all your security that you have, all your possessions, riches and stability from parents etc. One truly must get back to a simple life, and perform what I wrote down above. But as long as you, and others are still stuck in thinking they can have it both ways... And your riches, stability and security and enlightenment, one made just a failed business deal, giving up something great, for something smal and insignificant. I want enlightenment, yes yes yes they scream, but when they are asked to get rid of stability, possessions etc, then its no, I want just both ways. You can't have it both ways, and being a worldly addicted maniac that is called a servant of the senses, and a holy one reaching out for enlightenment. The Buddha often spoke of this. -
