  4. I have been a shy kid for most of my childhood. But as I grew up to be a teenager I tried to open up. But still there is a fear of life. I am afraid to live life. I am fascinated by how people behave, how there are so many different personalities, how pick up artists do what they do, how people can manipulate other people's emotions and get their way in life and so on. I am fascinated by people skills but I myself have very poor people skills. I also have social anxiety. I am also fascinated by people who have amazing social skills and who are extroverts. I just want to overcome this fear of life. It prevents me from living my life to the fullest and as for my present situation this fear and social anxiety is ruining my career. How do I overcome fear of experimenting with life as I think I need to experiment with life more? How do I live life to the fullest? Thank you for the answers!!
  5. Thank you so much!! I really found it to be helpful.
  6. I agree that shadow work and contemplation might help but I don't know much about how to do them correctly. I do meditation daily but it just keep my mind calm but it does not remove the fear.
  7. @AquariusI think you should focus on your art. If that gives you happiness and satisfaction then everything will slowly get better. But if not getting a job makes you worry more then why not give it a try. You are old enough to make your own decisions. So you can stop worrying by doing getting a job and in th free time focus on your art. What do you think?
  8. Hi I am from India. My family is very spiritual. As a result I have been to many ashrams and heard many spiritual ideas from my parents. You can say I am from a eastern modern as well as spiritual family. But as I grew older I had access to the internet. I came across self help and western spirituality which is quite different from the eastern spirituality. I learnt about psychedelics and new age stuff which was interesting but quite different from their eastern fundamental source of derivation. The western spirituality seemed like a atheistic version of all the spiritual stuff of the east. As a result I am confused about what is the truth. Who is correct? Whom to follow-the east which is grounded in my reality and told by my parents and I heard from spiritual leaders like Swami Vivekananda or the west which I learnt about totally over the internet which is abstract. For example very few people in the east seem to know about psychedelics. Whereas Leo and other western spiritual gurus speak about psychedelics. Some of my spiritual friends say that psychedelics may be "fake spirituality". Please feel free to write your opinion. Thank you!
  9. @now is forever what if I want to take some action steps. I want to make a decision but the two perspectives clash. Then what?
  10. How to overcome porn addiction? Please make a video about this Leo using your existential insights. What we put in our minds is very important and so watching porn is detrimental to our success. Please make a video about this Leo.
  11. @Hello from Russia The video is fine but I think it would be better if we get something more specific like porn addiction.
  12. Is Robin Sharma stage orange?
  13. I have been contemplating for 10 minutes everyday for the past few months but I am not getting the results. Distracting thoughts come up and I am unable to keep myself concentrated. I currently use the do-nothing meditation technique. Please suggest how to improve my contemplation practice.
  14. That's a great idea @Leo Gura. . All the best!!
  15. Focus on what you want. Not what you don't want. Ignore all this black stuff. Just focus on what you want.
  16. First of all I think this is a pretty important topic to discuss- meditating induced psychosis. psychosis: a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality. Symptoms like: hallucinations, voices in the head, constant terror, insomnia, breaking down of the mind, extreme stress and worry are common in this case. I already had 2 episodes of meditation induced psychosis. After contemplating for a bit: I think meditation for people with anxiety and narcissistic disorders increases anxiety and negative thoughts especially for adolescents. And meditation is something that may help them reduce anxiety only if done is very tiny blocks per day. Maybe the anxiety increases because they don't do the meditation with proper guidance or knowledge. Maybe it's because they are not able to let go to their need to know. Maybe it's because they are just over stress in daily life. Maybe it's because they are not yet ready to sit down and stop thinking. Or maybe it's because they are still thinking like a victim. But meditation induced psychosis is real. It is terrifying. Maybe doing meditation with yoga or playing sports or other relaxing habits may make it possible to meditate normally. Maybe only after being more conscious of the truth about psychosis, one can start meditating again with care. And I believe meditation helps to calm the mind but not in specific cases like psychosis. There must be some other way to calm the mind and increase happiness. So please suggest your views and advice on how can one replace meditation with some similar activities.
  17. Thanks. I was told by my psychiatrist not to meditate ever since I already had 2 psychosis experiences. But I continued meditation because my psychology went back to serene. The psychiatrist diagnosed me with anxiety disorder and gave me nexito 10 as medication. Now I wish my psychiatrist could have given me some antipsychotic medication. @Toby @onacloudynight @Outer
  18. Congratulations on your progress! Then please tell me how to deal with the next psychosis. The 3rd seems to be coming soon in a week (seriously). Have some mercy and please tell me. At least tell me which books on meditation to read.@AleksM @Martin123
  19. I get thesent thoughts that I can't go outside unless my anxiety is cured. I feel sad and depressed. I am reading books on self esteem but nothing is helping me. I also have Avoidant Personality Disorder (AvPD) and that means I don't want to face the emotional discomfort that I once experienced in the past. Please give me some advice. My thoughts are just going on a loop keeping me stuck. I feel like I am not able to do anything because everything is emotionallying difficult.
