  1. Well Hinduism teaches all the above that you mentioned. Read Bhagavad-Gita As It Is. Give it a try. There art no dogmas. It's just a conversation between Arjuna and Krishna, two friends who are fighting in a battle.
  2. Indoctrination is not only in religion but everywhere. You are not really open minded unless you are enlightened.
  3. @Matt8800 yes he was wasting time by just chanting mechanically. You gotta work hard and read a lot of books, spend time with pure devotees,do sadhana and lots more. Who says Krishna is outside? True self=Krishna
  4. How can you truly love yourself? Who is the one giving you love? Just give love to Krishna/Jesus/God and miracles will happen
  5. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
  6. @Preetom Papaji was successful. He chanted Krishna's name and Krishna helped him through Ramana Maharishi. At last when he became enlightened he met Krishna.
  7. Both religions lead to the realisation of the Absolute.
  8. @Preetom What about Bhakti? If one does religion under guidance with Bhakti, one may become enlightened. I think that Ramana Maharishi's techniques will be in vain if one does not have Bhakti in himself.
  9. @How to be wise Only one who has something to prove and has insecurities wants to compete. Don't forget that a nation is a vast system where there are all kinds of people of different stages of development... Red,Blue,Orange,Green,Yellow, Turquoise... That's why India is called a diversity. It has so many varieties that the west can't understand. And if you want to really learn from experience then watching YouTube videos and reading books are not enough.. you need to go to a spiritual guru in India who are still in the disciplic tradition. If the west could really learn everything like university professors then the purpose of disciplic traditions would mean nothing... Have you ever read the Bhagavad-Gita As It Is? You may understand everything intellectually but without the guidance of a pure devotee of Lord Sri Krishna, you won't get very far let alone devotional service.
  10. Let's not argue. Indian can learn a lot of self help from the west and the west can learn a lot of spirituality from India. ❤️
  11. @How to be wise Are you talking about the internet? Yes internet is full of western gurus but I live in India. I know many living gurus who have no existence on the internet.
  12. @How to be wise Even I can't learn anything from a 5 star hotel in India. The hotels, schools, business are under developed but the culture is as strong as ever. Even I don't care about american infrastructure.
  13. @Marks199 All the best to you. Always be positive and growing and happy.
  14. What is the conditioned Brahman? Is it related to not merging with God but by doing devotional service to God? Please comment.Thank you!!
  15. @Emanyalpsid In Hinduism also Krishna(The Supreme Brahman) is the cause of everything. If you look closely then you will find out that the word "Brahman","Atman" is also a Sanskrit word.
  16. @How to be wise And the west or any people can't catch onto India's variety and culture to the fullest because you cannot substitute experience for knowledge. And regarding what the west will benefit from Indian culture, there are many things that the west can still learn from India. You just need to experience India. It can't be told in words. You are always welcome in India!
  17. @How to be wiseyou have No Idea how little the west has ever learnt from India. The west has studied India but never experienced India.
  18. @winterknightWont the path I take to reach enlightenment help my soul in different ways like liberation?
  19. @winterknight With conditioned Brahman I can be more active in the world, isn't it?
  20. I am confused. My search for a way to Truth in religion is not very successful. I realised that no religion is the right or perfect path. All religions lead to the same destination- Truth realization. But how do I search for Truth then. After 3 episodes of psychosis and being depressed for over a year, I can't do meditation or yoga because it causes me headache. I am doing reiki and it is awesome and it's helping me but I still feel lost. Also wanting anything creates suffering for me. If I can want to read a book I just can't complete it unless it's my top most priority. But I am also not able to decide. My mind just goes in all directions whenever I try to focus. How am I supposed to focus when I can't meditate. But my next step is to learn my native language. I always felt like I did not belong anywhere. Maybe it's because I did not know my own language. I will create a strong healthy ego and then I will slowly strategically become aware of my ego and dissolve it. What do I do to move towards Truth? I read a book called Radical Honesty by Brad Blanton and it has helped me immensely. But I don't know what to confess. I am unconscious of my falsehood. I don't know. I am confused. Please comment. Thank you!
