  1. i use my Journal to really think decisions through that i might be unsure about or to really dig deep to find the source of a problem if i try to find a permanent solution if there is something i want to fix in my personal development or to use it to write something down i maybe have thought a lot about and finally found a solution to it(for example if there is a question that have been bothering me) i also find it usefull that you can use your journal to look back at the progress you made on your personal development and to see if you feel different about the same situations now kind regards
  2. i am not sure if this works for everyone but what helped me was to just to work hard anyway but also find time to relax afterwards so i could re-charge and be ready and again the next day this is one of the best videos i have seen to solve ones problems its pretty mindblowing
  3. Maybe don't do so much at the same time (or for so long) but make a list on what most important and then do the most important thing first and then the next one after once your done sorry if i missunderstood
  4. The title really says it all i think it would be nice to know how to be able to permanently get rid of mental defenses because maybe it's the only way to truly make progress on ones personal development and it can also limit what you are able to do and achieve (and probably a lot of other things) kind regards
  5. @TJ Reeves *space exploration as a safety net for issues with sustainability ---- > don't make the planet so dirty you have to leave in the first place! * if i remeber right i am pretty sure the reason for space exploration was to increase the chance for humans survival and to avoid what will happen to humans(or just living things) if we stay on earth when the sun dies (quote from a website): *when the sun expands into a red giant during the throes of death, it will vaporize the Earth* and that is a very real problem even if there is a long time until it happens just thought it was worth to mention
  6. personal i haven't found any solid evidence that iq is what people say it is or that it is even real how ever mostly the reason people get the results they get to me seems most likely is about *how* people do what they do for example how well you do when learning something deepend on how intensly you concentrate on what you are learnig on and also maybe how bored you are(due to attention residue) i highly recommend reading deep work by cal newport he argues that focus(and that it is also a skill) is the new iq(a lot of famous thinkers for example had to concentrate in isolation to get their best work done even people like einstein, issac newton and richard feynman) an other example that it matters how you do it is for example in personal development i have read that a good way to overcome fears is to fully fell the emotion without restance but if you do resist chance are you won't get the same result you would have got that if you fully feel the emotion so i think how you do what you do(and i think your self image also plays a role) is probably most important to get the result you might want and that your iq is probably irrelevant as leo said an other thing that might be interesting is that the most likely reason some peolpe was really good at something was because they didn't just pratice but that they did delieberate pratice which is a good way to become really good at something compared to if you don't do delieberate pratice so an other example that it matters how you do what you do

  11. i think it would be cool if leo had some insight on how to figure out what effort work best for getting the best results on the task you have to do I feel this is true from experience (but that doesn't necessarily mean it's scientific correct of course) for example sometimes when i have praticed the piano the progress i made sometimes deepened if i just play for fun or if i try to correct every mistake i make untill i can play them correctly(the latter gave better results) i think it could be interesting for example if it could be something similar for other fields kind regards

  20. But i am not talking about how to make faster progress but how much time it usually take for other people to make the progress they wanted to make because i think it could maybe give a better idea of how long i should expect it would take when i would make my own progress i know it's probably different deepening on your effort and what you are working on but it still nice to know what to expect
