@Dan Arnautu but research take a while its sometimes take up to 20 years to came up or more with breakthroughs in science it have happen before but they still came up with what they where looking for just think it worth to mention if i rember right it should have taken something like 20 years or something to come up with things like evolution and gravity people also thought before that when they couldn't come up with an answer that said that was it and no way to solve it but then later somebody did(i am pahasing but its pretty similar)

@snowleopard what has that to do with the question i asked? I have never heard of him so I can't say anything about him and why are you asking that?
-
@ajasatya but it isn't just about belief there is more to it than that the way i understand it is that it's about getting data science have been in use way before computers what do you mean by being stuck forever? Stuck from what? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method
-
But thats what the scientific method is about
-
How is smoking evidence? why that over the scientific method way of evidence? how is there zero proof for materialism isn't there some scientific evidence for it? Like physics or biology for example
-
I don't mean to be rude and i hope you don't take it the wrong way but do you know if there is any evidence behind it? Or some where you can read it where it goes into more details about it? Would be really awesome
-
But i am not asking if there is a better or worse way just that why some people think against the scientific method and materlism
-
What do you mean by they can? I said I didn't think they couldn't experience pain but that they was able to be happy even if they experience pain i am not talking about just anyone just those i have personally met or been with in the same location
-
But as i said they still mange (or some did) to be happy in difficult situations and I don't think anyone can escape suffering in long term yet they seemed to be happy through a whole year and likely to be that before and probably also after even if they got emotionally hurt in a way that made them cry they where still just as happy after some time(i am not saying they don't fell pain but that they mange to stay happy even if they experience pain or after the pain almost 24/7 probably an exaggeration but that what it looked like and it seemed authentic)
-
Maybe write why you started the things to begin with down or what you hope to accomplish with it
-
But I believe there is a world outside of me it's not just me i do believe we make our own perception of reality but not that we are reality if that was true why can't we just become superman? If we really where reality we shouldn't have any limits in reality which is why I believe we live in reality but create our own perception of it(or a part of why) i am sorry but I don't see how it dissprove of the things i mention(or provide the evidence)
-
What do you mean? Could you elaborate?
-
How is it a miss understanding? Again anybody can say anything about anything but that makes it neither true or false only if there is some kind of evidence we can know which one it is it shouldn't be based on opinions
-
I am sure it's possible if its something you allow to happen
-
Does he explain later in the video why that's supposed to be true what he said in the beginning? Anyone can say against something but just saying you are against it doesn't make it true or false (you need some kind of evidence that support your claim) Besides neuroscience(and related concepts) seems to have a good understanding about the brain thanks for the video by the way
-
Whats wrong with materialism? I get that in terms of setting goals it might be better to set goals by using your feelings as guidelines but I don't really get it in terms of understanding the universe
-
would be awesome if he has some insight on this if he already has a video on it would be awesome if you could share a link kind regards

I am not 100% sure if i understand it correctly but maybe for how to work good enough i think it's just a matter of how you do it and how effectively (if you do it effectively you should be able to do it in shorter time and still get good results or better) it are but to do something effectively varys deepending on what it is you are doing maybe it might help to make a plan or research how you do something more effectively and then put the plan to action (it helps to learn more about what we know about productivity sometimes try not to overlook the simples things sometimes they are the one that might be most usefull to us in terms of productivity) some of the things i have found to be more effective when doing work is embrace single tasking some research says that multitasking "kill" our productivity(i am paraphrasing) if its related to focus/concentration something called deep work if its something you need to pratice something called deliberate pratice maybe if it turns out its not about how you do it it might be when and for how long for example if you do it late at night you might not have enough energy to do it vs doing it in the morning where one would have a lot more energy as usually one have spend their energy from the morning through the night (and advantage to do it in the morning is that you have more time to sleep more at night) being impulsive also "kills" productivity so it might help to add routines and rituals, time blocking and have a schedule you know you won't burnout if you use it and make it a habit (maybe also create a project so you know what to do step by step before execution it might also help to know what to do long term the four disciplines of execution might also be usefull some research also says that it's important to make sure you recover enough to aviod burnout hope it helps

Title says it all (stuff like money, entertainment etc.) If he already have a video on it that i have missed feel free to share a link

To stop living in a lie you create yourself
-
Still working on it but I haven't given up yet i think it really give an advantage to embrace single tasking and add routines and rituals into your goals also time blocking (something I didn't do that much before) the reason why i think they give an advantage is because without them it can be easy to get distracted and once you are distracted it can be hard to get back to do what you wanted to do depending on how difficult the task was and give it your full attention i mean you still have to put in the same effort in no matter what date you chose to do it
-
Once i get a goal i just go for it no special date but i do plan how i am going to do it
-
best probably what ajasatya suggested or if its a possibility maybe try to understand so you both are on the same *page*(or so both understand each others perspective) I don't mean to be rude but i really don't see how this is funny
-
what helps me is just try to understand what one are researching and use your understanding as a guideline for research
