  1. I wouldn't want to be omnipotent i would just take life as it is.
  2. @Shin sorry but that couldn’t be more wrong life purpose is a choice. I chose to be a composer by choice as my life purpose I made a conscious deliberate decision. I could chose anything else if I wanted to. Look up fixed vs growth mindset cal Newport also says your passion could be anything really.@Avadhut I believe that life purpose or passion is something that is grown for example the better you get at something the more it will feel like your passion so to known ones life purpose you need to build one in something you believe in and then grow it from there.
  3. @RawJudah Yeah i am aware of it but not everyone is.
  4. It seems that there is a lot of people on the forum who have social anxiety including me so might be a good video topic.
  5. Why should you care about enlightenment in the first place? If it is to get rid of lifts problems as i have heard someone say it does why not just accept that life is difficult instead? “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult-once we truly understand and accept it-then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.” scott peck If it is for satisfaction why not just radical acceptance instead? If its for truth can't you just use science like differential analysis and scientific method or ask someone who is already enlightened? Also what is enlightenment?
  6. just eat carbohydrate free food that worked for me
  7. I don't think distractions is such a healthy way to deal with rejection because the problem is still there anyway a better way is probably acceptance of what happen and the problem no longer becomes an issue. But i think you are right in that we need to move on just not by using distractions and not dealing with the problem directly.
  8. @Gabriel Antonio Never said there wasn't a limit however usually we put the limit there ourselves.
  9. I don't think meditation will help very much as it is very much an indirect approach you need a more direct approach such as face your fears over and over again until it gets comfortable again if you want to get over anxiety. You are not alone in having anxiety I have it as well and many others on the forum. You can train your self to face fears by doing something that sucks every day get comfortable getting uncomfortable. https://bulldogmindset.com/self-confidence/ "If you want to gain confidence, you can gain it by doing whatever you want to gain confidence in, over and over again."
  10. Radical self-acceptance sounds like an awesome idea.
  11. just practice what you need to do on the test.
  12. I don't think so i was able to lose weight by eating carbohydrate free food
  13. @Eric Tarpall No not really. My mom want the results more than I do and I don't think you want to run with broken ribs. Sometimes I am really unmotivated to do something and don't want to do it at all but i do it anyway because otherwise it doesn't get done. I don't think david goggins do it to be proud. But he does it to strength he's mind and I have heard he says there is greatness on the other said of suffering he even mention peace sometimes. Haven't you had to eat broccoli before because your parent told you to do it but you didn't want to but had to do it anyway and then did it? I know i have Today i had to use the vacuum cleaner twice because i didn't do it probably the first time and I didn't even want to do it the first time but i did it anyway because i had to do it. I also play the piano but I don't like to perform for other people because of my social anxiety but I have done that too because I sometimes was "forced" to do it. Also check out hell week from the navy seal.
  14. Yes it's possible I don't like to use the vacuum cleaner but I do it anyway because I have to. Check out david goggins or john sonmez from bulldog mindset on youtube they do a lot of things they think sucks. This was nothing compared to what david goggins did.
  15. Thinking there is an easy solution or a magic solution is defiantly a big trap to fall in.
