How can I make lots of money and love my work when I know my desire for money and many of my values have been indoctrinated into me by society to keep me enslaved? ... and how to deal with the fact that most of my authentic values are looked down apon by society because they go against the social agenda, making it harder for me to earn money and love my work. Cheers.

I was a listening to an Adyashanti audio book where he asked a question somewhere along the lines of: If you could have a total perfect enlightenment but you had to spend your life stacking shelves at Walmart, would you do it? What if that was God's plan for you? I took these questions to be a litmus test for spiritual ego. If I'm perfectly honest I don't think I could. I want my life to go somewhere. Is there a fundamental conflict between enlightenment and personal development? If not, why not? This is confusing me.

so awareness = being = me = mind identification = math equations= word games I get that, but words are a part of reality also. You say "now everything is blurred," but that is not true because those are just words. Right? -

@Dodoster Spiritual Practice = Conciousness work = being ? So being is the conditioning for my mind that will defeat my ego? But I cant do being so I cant do spiritual practice so I cant do conditioning? -

Aren't words existential things in and of themselves? I mean the sensation of words. if I deny them then I am denying reality as it is happening for me now. Right? But who is becoming separated if I don't exist? Is this meditation or a technique to meditation you are talking now? -

What is consciousness work exactly? is it just being? -

@Prabhaker So true meditation is not work, but techniques are work to get to meditation? Doesn't this thinking just create unnecessary obstacles by itself? Once again bringing me back to my question, doesn't work defy the path to enlightenment? What windows? What Doors? -

Lazy, no. Lucky, yes. It sounds like enlightenment is just luck. I think Leo even said that in one of his videos. So if it's just luck, why work? And if working just gets in the way (because it is the ego that works, right?), why work? Ok, how does it do that? -

@Prabhaker @Shin Thanks for answering, but both of your answers illustrate my confusion: To me this means that doing consciousness work is pointless because I can't make myself enlightened. But this says I must work more on myself. Which is right? Or, why are they both right? -
@Liam Johnson Your journal is great! Here's a musical interpretation if this ^

This inspires me to be better. Humanity is going to need me to be better. When Jason was at the table I kept on seeing him look at me when he was with that other girl Do you think he was just doing that to make me jealous? Because he was totally texting me all night last night And I don't know if it's a booty call or not So, like what do you think? Did you think that girl was pretty? How did that girl even get in here? Did you see her? She's so short and that dress is so tacky Who wears cheetah? It's not even summer, why does the DJ keep on playing Summertime Sadness? After we go to the bathroom, can we go smoke a cigarette? I really need one But first, Let me take a selfie Let me take a selfie Can you guys help me pick a filter? I don't know if I should go with XX Pro or Valencia I wanna look tan What should my caption be? I want it to be clever How about "Livin' with my ladies, Hashtag live" I only got 10 likes in the last 5 minutes Do you think I should take it down? Let me take another selfie Wait, pause, Jason just liked my selfie What a creep Is that guy sleeping over there? Yeah, the one next to the girl with no shoes on That's so ratchet That girl is such a fake model She definitely bought all her Instagram followers Who goes out on Mondays? OK, let's go take some shots Oh no, I feel like I'm gonna throw up Oh wait, never mind I'm fine Let's go dance There's no vodka at this table Do you know anyone else here? Oh my god, Jason just texted me Should I go home with him? I guess I took a good selfie Let me take a selfie -

@Rewrite Preach! I usually score INTP, just barely on the p/j axis but after I watched this video describing the difference in functions of INTP vs INTJ I have no doubt that I'm actually INTJ. There are a lot of types that have totally different functions who are likely to answer the questions in a similar way, this makes mistyping common. The test should be used as a beginning place, not an end. MBTI nomenclature is also really shitty. INTJ's are predominantly perceivers whereas INTP's are predominantly judgers, in spite of their letters.
