  1. As a vegan I can do nothing but bask in your misery : )
  2. Well time to get rid of that fish at least!
  3. Cut out all the fish? Didn't you do a video on how to become a vegetarian? Should listen to your own advice heheh . I would also second Leo's recommendation on a veggie-heavy vegan diet. Also- in my opinion, most supplements, coffee, quick energy fixes, etc. are bullshit, and most people just need a more balanced, healthy diet. The only nutritional "supplement" I'd recommend is probably soylent.com. Works great for me : ) Leo also mentioned urine results.. I'd also recommend checking out wellnessfx.com if you're into that. They'll do a complete blood workup and give you really nice, in-depth results.
  4. Yeah I agree with all those sentiments, but personal development comes in stages, and this is relatively advanced stuff, I'm just not sure it's the right advice for someone who's actually currently dealing with depression. But maybe it'll work for some- everyone's different. I just know people with depression get barraged with this sort of stuff all the time and it really bugs them and they immediately discard the advice. If you approach people in a way they cannot identify with and are immediately hostile to, sometimes it can be counterproductive.
  5. heheh just butting in to say Leo's video thumbnails are the best
  6. I'm kind of in a similar situation, where I feel like I conceptually understand and agree with many of these no-self concepts, but there's still something I'm missing and haven't really had any big "emotional" revelations. I'm starting to accept that I just need to get past the 1,000+ hours Leo says is necessary :P.
  7. This is a good discussion topic, and something I'm sure many of us are dealing with. Modern society comes with a lot of demands, and it can be easy to fall into the kind of mindset that it drives us towards- one of fantasy and materialism. You need to be extremely honest with yourself in terms of what it is you truly want, and what it is you need to give in order to achieve that. And if there are incompatibilities with different components of your life, you need to accept that some of them may need to go. For me, it meant recently leaving my cushy full-time job in order to start my own business and find part time work where I can, because it is what's necessary for me to achieve complete autonomy, where I'm free to fully explore my creative and personal development endeavors.
  8. Yeah have first-hand experience with this.. I think my girlfriend must have had some previous experience of being scammed or something by some personal development bullshit way long ago, and when I tried to show her one of Leo's videos recently she called him a snake oil salesman and wouldn't have any of it hahah.
  9. I like these goals : )
  10. I have never had clinical depression, and agree with many of the sentiments above personally, but this sounds stereotypically like the exact kind of advice people with depression HATE getting, the "it's all in your mind, have you ever tried just not being depressed?" kind of thing.
  11. I feel like the former trying to understand the latter
  12. I just view it as a biological mechanism developed by evolution that is necessary for us to survive the first few years of our life, and becomes so ingrained that it just sticks with us.
